The whole process was really a breeze and Joe was extremely professional - and anyone that has dealt with home contractors in the past knows that this is not always the case. Joe quoted me a very reasonable price and him and his partner were at my house at the scheduled time. They covered around my bathroom, including a pathway out the front door of the home, in protective paper, and were in and out in about 3 hours altogether. The finished product looks great, what an improvement! 100 times better than I could do myself and so much easier (and cheaper) than replacing a bathtub. After researching the DIY method of doing the tub reglazing process, I am convinced that hiring Joe was well worth the money. I've hired Joe twice now (for two different condos, 2 bathrooms each) and he's done a fantastic job both times! Well worth the money, and he (usually) has the best rates around. Only giving 4 stars instead of 5 because even though the recent job contained WAAAY less tile than my first job a few years ago did, the price was much more expensive than I predicted. He told me it was because of the "cost of chemicals" but I have no way of knowing how true that is. Whether it's true or not, I really needed the work done as fast as possible, and I know he does good work, so I paid it. It was still worth it. Also, with the first job, he was able to put my shower hardware back on. But this recent job, I guess he wasn't able to come back or didn't want to come back just to do that, which i guess I understand since I live in the Loop, but I wish he could have put the hardware back on, because this time, there was a shower door involved and i'm not really sure how to put it back in myself. It's not a huge deal though cause it's kinda nasty so I might just buy a new shower door anyway. That got a bit long-winded, but yeah, I definitely recommend Joe's work to my friends :) My bathrooms look so clean and new because of his work. read more

Joe is the best! He came over to reglaze my sink. After looking at it he told me to save my money and that he would clean it with an acid wash and fill in the chips. The sink now looks brand new. He refused to take any money. He spent over a half hour working and though I was insistent, he still would not take any money. Joe is the most patient and honest person. I had to move my tub refinishing appointment multiple times due to construction delays and he was very nice and patient with all the changes. When he came to refinish the tub, he looked at it and said - it doesn't need to be refinished. I only needed a cover for the bottom because the bottom could not be cleaned, but the tub was in good shape. He saved me a bunch of money and has to come AGAIN to put in the new pad for the bottom. He could easily have refinished the tub and charged me for it, but instead told me to save my money and he would come back and do the inexpensive fix. Highly recommended!!! Joe came out to refinish a tub that had a few scratches and chipped paint on the bottom. I had been using a rubber non-slip pad which was pulling up some of the paint. But instead of having to re-finish the tub he said all that was needed was a permanent non-slip pad that would cover the chips and saved me hundreds of dollars on refinishing. After I was stood up by another reglazing company this morning, I hit Yelp to find someone else to do my tub. Left Joe a message and within 5 minutes received a call back. Explained to him the situation and even though it's Saturday he squeezed me into his crazy schedule.
