Very responsive, friendly, reasonably priced and professional. Not all of the stains came out of our 30 year old cherry table, but I knew that on the front end. I got one estimate more than twice that of KWR's bid that diagnosed and guaranteed deep stain removal. But I didn't feel the table was worth that expense. KWR successfully removed most stains and restored the original color and finish very nicely. I would absolutely use them again. These guys are terrific. Very expert in their craft. Our stained maple cabinets that they refinished 2 years ago still look brand new. The results were well worth the investment. Recently, a few of our cabinet door hinges have needed to be adjusted and our efforts and the efforts of a handyman to fix them have only worsened the alignment so the doors were not opening or closing without bumping other doors. They did an amazing job on our kitchen with fairly competitive pricing. Our project included cabinet refacing, new countertop, and backsplash. They also built us a brand new open shelf at the end of our stove to extend our counter to both sides of the appliance. Ivan was super responsive by text as I had questions or letting me know if they were running late from another job. We had some issues with getting the right hinges for this project but it wasn't their fault in the end. Just know if you have older hinges the need replacing it might take some time with a little trail and error to get the right solution. We ended up hiring them back out a few weeks later to install a range hood. So happy they could bring our 30yr old kitchen up to date. read more

It wasn't a typical install, and they were up for the challenge. I have custom stained wood boards with metal pipes hung into metal studs. I called around to several custom cabinet and refinishing companies and they all told me they wouldn't work with custom shelves especially into metal studs. Alex assured me they could make it work and a couple days later my shelves were up. We cannot stress enough how happy we are with the work by Kitchen and Wood Refinishing. After 20 years we wanted to brighten up our kitchen by a change away from the black stained finish on our lower cabinets and keep the beautiful Cherry uppers in their original cherry stain. After swapping out black granite counters with Cream colored quartz, we decided to match the lowers by painting them a compatible cream color. We received quotes from two companies and committed to one of them. Admittedly, we did not know KWR existed in the beginning however when we tried and failed to schedule the work with N-Hance (who stopped responding after accepting their contract), we read excellent reviews from customers of Kitchen and Wood Refinishing. We called, they came to the house the next day and removed the cabinet doors to get started. It has turned out to be one of the best decisions we've made in years of hiring specialty contractors. Alex and the team arrived promptly each visit to prepare the kitchen for the job. They carefully sealed off the work area from the rest of the kitchen from floor to ceiling, masked off all surfaces not getting painted then completed the on site cabinet repainting perfectly. We realized we had forgotten to include painting some black stained crown molding on top of the cherry cabinet uppers. This afterthought had us wondering what to do with this last stretch of black stain atop the cherry wood upper cabinets. Painting them to match the cream lower cabinets seemed the only option. Alex suggested we match the stain color of the cherry cabinets instead. They matched the color so well, you'd think they were original. This is when we asked them to refinish the hardwood floors on the first floor. The floors have turned out perfectly, thanks to a suggestion from Ferdinando on stain color. Our original pick was a Red Chestnut stain to match other natural wood cabinets and columns. The morning they were to start sanding, we began to doubt our choice. Fernando showed us a mix of grey colors that would modernize the look of the floors in consideration of new paint colors already selected for walls, baseboard and window trim. Once again, we were guided to a better than imagined result. The overall work took the amount of time they said it would, and their entire team worked full days. It is not often that you see this type of dedication, pride in craft and workmanship as we experienced with KWF cabinet/floor refinishing. Their work ethic and striving for perfection make you look for other jobs in their wheelhouse because it will be done extraordinarily well. And we did just that, we asked them to stain and refinish an old kitchen table we wanted to resurrect. As expected, it turned out better than imagined. I received a horrible service and property damage by this company. They were hired to refinish my flooring . In our initial visit we discussed to repair 4 stairs , around refrigerator and all leaving room refinishing and staining. They colour match and they said they are going to fix stairs and match the same top coat with the rest of the house. Within 24 hours of their work we found our house seriously damaged by a leak causing by them disconnecting our refrigerator line from the wall . Our brand new renovated house was flooded and our new Ac unit was extremely damaged and wiring system was no longer working. We contact the company immediately upon finding Of leak and property damaged but heard nothing. As well they didn't fix stair or use the same top coat stain, so leaving room doesn't match with previous work. After all said and done they did not fix around refrigerator either!!!! Omg two young greedy brothers hustle us and never returned to fix damaged items in our home or correct there unfinished work. They collected payment in cash upfront!!! Be aware.
