Very happy with how this desk turned out! Easy to work with these guys and coordinate pickup/delivery. The black paint is very smooth and professional looking, and the top stain came out nicely. Exactly the colors and look I was envisioning. The top of the desk does have some sanding marks that are visible through the stain, but overall the finished product looks great, and I was thrilled to refurbish this desk that's been in my family for many years and desperately needed a refresh. read more

Very responsive, friendly, reasonably priced and professional. Not all of the stains came out of our 30 year old cherry table, but I knew that on the front end. I got one estimate more than twice that of KWR's bid that diagnosed and guaranteed deep stain removal. But I didn't feel the table was worth that expense. KWR successfully removed most stains and restored the original color and finish very nicely. I would absolutely use them again. Bit of you have really stubborn stains, make sure you know what you're paying for. read more

These guys are terrific. Very expert in their craft. Our stained maple cabinets that they refinished 2 years ago still look brand new. The results were well worth the investment. Recently, a few of our cabinet door hinges have needed to be adjusted and our efforts and the efforts of a handyman to fix them have only worsened the alignment so the doors were not opening or closing without bumping other doors. I reached out not knowing if the job was too small. The guys were nearby for another job and came over the same day to assess the problem. They fixed the hinges perfectly for a very reasonable fee. read more

Alex did a *fantastic* job not only restoring a bath vanity sink cabinet but also with completing numerous and varied touch ups to both walls and interior and closet doors on relatively short notice, while pinch-hitting for the original painter. He was great on the details and noticed things without my having to specifically identify them myself, which I really appreciate. The job was to have been only for the bath vanity cabinet restoration, for which the advance quote was eminently reasonable. We agreed upon a price for the additional work after Alex was onsite. Would definitely hire again without reservation should the need arise. read more

Found Ivan, Alex, and Papasito by reading all their Yelp reviews. I was surprised at the cost of the project (kitchen + 3 vanities), but later realized how much work was involved to prep, tape, uninstall, clean, sand, prime, paint, caulk, and re-install all the cabinets. You get what you pay for and I'm very happy turning my old Fashion Maple cabinets into Modern high gloss white. See before and after pics. Thanks Amigos! read more

I had my kitchen cabinets repainted with this company and they truly did an AMAZING job. I chose them because they are a family owned business, their prices were very reasonable and I really had a great initial experience talking to Ivan, one of the owners. I'm SO glad I chose them. Their work was truly impeccable, they made zero mess and they were the nicest guys ever to work with. They even went so far as recommending I purchase soft close hinges on Amazon that they would install, saving me hundreds of dollars. They replaced the hardware and it's perfect. They were also worked very fast and had really great communication. I can't say enough good things about this company. If you are looking for this kind of work, I would absolutely hire this company. PS my cabinets came out perfect!! read more

We love our new kitchen!! Alex and his team are very reliable, responsive, just overall easy to work with. I do not like dealing with contractors but these guys made the process so easy. They are clean and very detailed. Showed up early in the morning and very efficient. They work with your schedule and finish the job right on time. They are respectful if you want them to wear masks which I highly appreciate since I have a toddler. My kitchen looks brand new. We hired them to paint the cabinets and change the backsplash. I can't be happier with the result! I recommended them to all my friends. :) read more

Asked for photos of a table that needed refinishing. I sent about 8 shots but they didn't get back to me with a price.

They did an amazing job on our kitchen with fairly competitive pricing. Our project included cabinet refacing, new countertop, and backsplash. They also built us a brand new open shelf at the end of our stove to extend our counter to both sides of the appliance. Ivan was super responsive by text as I had questions or letting me know if they were running late from another job. We had some issues with getting the right hinges for this project but it wasn't their fault in the end. Just know if you have older hinges the need replacing it might take some time with a little trail and error to get the right solution. We ended up hiring them back out a few weeks later to install a range hood. So happy they could bring our 30yr old kitchen up to date. read more

Sent an email on their website but never received a response. It's unfortunate that as a business they think this is acceptable.

Quick response, work well done, and delivered on time. We hired Alex, Ivan and their father to refinish our kitchen and to paint 11 doors in our condo. They were very communicative, patient while I choose the colors (they provided samples) and left the apartment completely clean after the job. I'll definitely use their services again. Good and fair price. Highly recommended. read more

Ivan and Alex of K&W did an excellent job with a complete remodel of my kitchen. Specifically, they painted my cabinets, installed new granite counters and backsplash. Not pictured is matching granite they installed in my bathroom and fireplace and retiling of foyer area. They worked with me every step of the way to ensure perfection. After multiple quote requests and walk throughs with other vendors, they had the most competitive price. They were a pleasure to work with and made my improvement project seamless. They were excellent with detail and communication, as well as finishing the project in a timely manner. I would highly recommend to a family or friend. Fastest response time, professional, and excellent workmanship! Alex and the team did an amazing job on my custom open-faced kitchen cabinets. It wasn't a typical install, and they were up for the challenge. I have custom stained wood boards with metal pipes hung into metal studs. I called around to several custom cabinet and refinishing companies and they all told me they wouldn't work with custom shelves especially into metal studs. Alex assured me they could make it work and a couple days later my shelves were up. It was a tricky install especially with the amount of weight it holds, but the team tackled every issue that arose throughout the process. They even custom hung my TV into the metal studs as well. Overall, my experience with the team was the smoothest, headache-free home construction project to date. For my next project I know who to call. read more

We cannot stress enough how happy we are with the work by Kitchen and Wood Refinishing. After 20 years we wanted to brighten up our kitchen by a change away from the black stained finish on our lower cabinets and keep the beautiful Cherry uppers in their original cherry stain. After swapping out black granite counters with Cream colored quartz, we decided to match the lowers by painting them a compatible cream color. We received quotes from two companies and committed to one of them. Admittedly, we did not know KWR existed in the beginning however when we tried and failed to schedule the work with N-Hance (who stopped responding after accepting their contract), we read excellent reviews from customers of Kitchen and Wood Refinishing. We called, they came to the house the next day and removed the cabinet doors to get started. It has turned out to be one of the best decisions we've made in years of hiring specialty contractors. Alex and the team arrived promptly each visit to prepare the kitchen for the job. They carefully sealed off the work area from the rest of the kitchen from floor to ceiling, masked off all surfaces not getting painted then completed the on site cabinet repainting perfectly. We realized we had forgotten to include painting some black stained crown molding on top of the cherry cabinet uppers. This afterthought had us wondering what to do with this last stretch of black stain atop the cherry wood upper cabinets. Painting them to match the cream lower cabinets seemed the only option. Alex suggested we match the stain color of the cherry cabinets instead. They matched the color so well, you'd think they were original. This is when we asked them to refinish the hardwood floors on the first floor. The floors have turned out perfectly, thanks to a suggestion from Ferdinando on stain color. Our original pick was a Red Chestnut stain to match other natural wood cabinets and columns. The morning they were to start sanding, we began to doubt our choice. Fernando showed us a mix of grey colors that would modernize the look of the floors in consideration of new paint colors already selected for walls, baseboard and window trim. Once again, we were guided to a better than imagined result. The overall work took the amount of time they said it would, and their entire team worked full days. It is not often that you see this type of dedication, pride in craft and workmanship as we experienced with KWF cabinet/floor refinishing. Their work ethic and striving for perfection make you look for other jobs in their wheelhouse because it will be done extraordinarily well. And we did just that, we asked them to stain and refinish an old kitchen table we wanted to resurrect. As expected, it turned out better than imagined. In the future, we want to refinish the wood floors on the second floor and will look no further than Alex, Fernando and team. Their work is exceptional, their pricing competitive, and their customer service beyond what we are used to. They are friendly professionals who pay attention to details and keep you informed and updated. Stop looking now and reach out to Alex at Kitchen and Wood Refinishing! read more

We hired Jaime and his team to refinish our kitchen cabinets and are so happy we did! We've been working with a number of different contractors for major projects in our condo and Jaime was by far the kindest, cleanest and most professional. They taped and sectioned off the kitchen perfectly so there was minimal disruption and when they left there was no mess at all. The cabinets are perfect and look like new, you'd never know they were refinished. Jaime was easily accessible and even came on a Saturday to install the cabinet faces because they got them done early. We highly recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their kitchen, my only regret is not doing this sooner!! read more

Alex and Ivan were super from start to end. We reached out to them through yelp and they were the most responsive. We began with a kitchen cabinet painting project and were so impressed that we had them do the bathroom cabinets too... then the bathroom walls and finally they just finished repainting our living room and front hallway. Their specialty is kitchen cabinets, though, and ours really shine, literately and figuratively. We could not be more pleased with the results! It is a family business that really takes pride in doing a great job. They do start their day far from downtown, so don't expect them to be at your door early in the morning if you live near the center, but they are fast and efficient once onsite. Couldn't recommend them more. read more

Alex and his team did an outstanding job refinishing our kitchen cabinets. I am a Realtor so quality and great customer service are my top priorities. Kitchen and Wood Refinishing is a family business and as a team they posses many skills. For cabinets refinishing they are THE BEST I have seen in the business. They use a special furniture lacquer that is sprayed on, not applied with a roll. The cabinets look brand new, not refinished. They also replaced my granite countertops with quartz, installed new kitchen sink and faucet, installed new bathroom vanity +sink+faucet. They are very responsive, reliable and clean and complete the projects they undertake in a timely manner. They also do a great job with furniture restoration, installing custom made closet systems, hardwood floors installs and refinishing and so much more. I will always reccomend them to my colleagues, friends and clients. read more

Ivan and team are genuine people who are incredibly flexible and accommodating. They do a quality job and stand by their work (offered to follow up down the road if there are every any scratches or things need touch ups). We recently moved into a new condo and had them paint our cabinets, fireplace mantle, and replace the countertop and backsplash. Even with a couple hiccups that were out of their control and delayed our timelines Ivan and team worked us back into their schedule to finish the job. They are also incredibly responsive, more so than what you'd get with other contractors/companies, I was able to text or call anyone on the team day, night, or weekend to ask questions and follow up on the project and they'd respond within minutes. Just state your timelines and anything they need to be cognizant up front and you should be in for a smooth, start to finish project. read more

We hired Kitchen and Wood Refinishing to redo our kitchen cabinets and backsplash. The job was big. We have a built in wood panel refrigerator and dishwasher. When they arrived they were very professional and had proper PPE on. They kept their work area neat and clean. They blocked off the rest of the house to ensure the dust was contained in the kitchen. They did a fantastic job on the cabinets. It's had to tell if they were new or repainted. Our original cabinets were stained dark brown. They put 3 coats of primer and 3 coats of paint. I have recommended them to my neighbors and they were as happy as I was. read more

Alex and Ivan did a wonderful job refinishing my cabinets! My 20 year old, beat up cabinets look as good as new! I received a horrible service and property damage by this company. They were hired to refinish my flooring . In our initial visit we discussed to repair 4 stairs , around refrigerator and all leaving room refinishing and staining. They colour match and they said they are going to fix stairs and match the same top coat with the rest of the house. Within 24 hours of their work we found our house seriously damaged by a leak causing by them disconnecting our refrigerator line from the wall . Our brand new renovated house was flooded and our new Ac unit was extremely damaged and wiring system was no longer working. We contact the company immediately upon finding Of leak and property damaged but heard nothing. As well they didn't fix stair or use the same top coat stain, so leaving room doesn't match with previous work. After all said and done they did not fix around refrigerator either!!!! Omg two young greedy brothers hustle us and never returned to fix damaged items in our home or correct there unfinished work. They collected payment in cash upfront!!! Be aware. Do not pay them cash till the job it's done . read more

We hired K&W to refinish cabinets during a kitchen remodel. We decided to refinish the cabinets instead of purchasing new cabinets because they were in excellent condition. The team was easy to work with and offered suggestions that resulted in an AMAZING kitchen. We received numerous compliments and everyone thought the cabinets were new.
