I was required to give a deposit and told it was to hold the vehicle so no one else at the dealership could sell it when it arrived. They were never able to obtain the vehicle we agreed on. They then attempted to sell me other vehicles that they could obtain, but they were not the same as the one we agreed on. When I went in to get my deposit back, I was told it was non-refundable. I was never given a copy of the document I signed. I received a receipt the day I paid the deposit and it does not state that it was non-refundable. They did not provide me the service agreed upon. They were very unprofessional and did not follow up with me as they said. Additionally, they continued to try to sell me a vehicle with different options / upgrades / colors based on what they could find. I told them that I was going to look elsewhere. When I went in to get my deposit back, I was told that it was non-refundable. That they had put a lot of time in to this deal and they needed to be paid for their time. Long review warning: We bought a used Honda Odyssey from…read morethis dealership. Our salesperson was Aaron. We also spent some time with some of the management. One manager was Josh, but I cannot recall the other names. There were several issues along the way, but the main issue I have is they state they stand by their products. I quickly found out that this is not the case. When we were discussing the purchase of the car, I had some concerns because it was an older car. I asked one of the managers if they offer a 30-day warranty. He said they do not but if any issues are noted with the mechanical operation of the car within that time, maybe even up to a few months after purchase, they would take care of it. He stated they are well known for standing by their product. Well, within a week or so we noted that the steering wheel would shake quite a bit when the car got up to 70 mph or higher and the car also pulled right. I took it to my mechanic, whom I do trust. They have done good work and have always been upfront and honest. I texted Aaron about the issue and told him I was taking it to the mechanic. The mechanic also noted the issue on the test drive. They did a balance and rotation of the tires which we paid for ourselves. This took care of that issue, but he also noted on the test drive shaking with braking at higher speeds. They checked it and noted warped brake rotors on the front (something that should have been noted by the mechanics at David Taylor). The tire pressure light was also on which was from a tire pressure sensor (more on this in a bit). I texted Aaron and asked if David Taylor would take care of these issues. He had me call him. He stated that they did not see the warped rotors on inspection and implied that our mechanic was trying to convince us to pay for something that was not necessary. He also stated that the sensor was not something they would take care of despite the tire pressure light being on when we first saw the car and again right before we were going to purchase it. They did check it for slow leaks and did not find one. When we bought the car the tire pressure light was off, but when I took it into the shop it was back on. The pressure was fine. It was the tire pressure sensor that was having the issue. This is likely what the issue was all along. Again, I asked Aaron if David Taylor would take care of the sensor and if they would take care of the brakes. They said they would not. Summary: there was a brake issue they missed on inspection. They stated it was not an issue and implied my trusted mechanic was lying to me. They would not take care of it. The tire pressure sensor was likely an issue from when we first saw the vehicle. They claim this happened after the purchase and they will not take care of it. So, if they tell you they stand by their product, please, please do not believe this. The other issue we ran into was that the car did need some bodywork done. We put down a deposit with the agreement they would fix the issue. The front, passenger panel needed to be replaced. They did this. There were two small rust spots I wanted addressed. They cleaned off some of the rust stains, but the spots remained. Perhaps I was not clear enough about stating we wanted these fixed, so we let this slide. Anyway, we went out of town for a week, and they worked on the car while we were gone. On Sunday I received a text stating the car was back from the body shop and had completed the inspection. We could pick it up as soon as Monday night. I texted back on Monday morning that we would come in on Wednesday morning between 9 and 9:30. Great, it will be ready. Well, we got there at 9 AM and they had not even STARTED the detailing. We had to leave by a certain time that day for doctor appointments. They said they will have it ready by the time we need to leave. They generously offered to pay for us to go out to breakfast while they worked on it. We got back from breakfast, and it still was not ready. They finally got it to us to drive (we had not driven it on the highway yet; only in town). When we got it we had about 10 minutes before we needed to leave. We drove it on the highway feeling stressed out because we had to leave soon. The detailing missed quite a few things (gum in the cupholders, small stains on the seats). We took care of those issues ourselves later. It was very stressful. We found a couple things of concern while driving. The tire pressure light was back on. The Volume control on the radio did not work. Only the steering wheel volume control worked. We did not notice the shaking because we did not apply the brakes at speed. We also did not notice that steering wheel shaking, but we did not take it up to over 70. The experience was not great here, but they were apologetic about the issues. It took them over a week to fix (it's a 3 hours job). The alignment was botched and the steering wheel was not straight when it was returned to me. When I called them back to correct the issue, the service advisor informed me I can certainly bring the truck back... but they intend to KEEP the truck until my previous bill was paid by my warranty company. Shocked, I called the warranty company to see what was going on. They told me the dealer would not accept their payment due to having to run it through through a credit card service (100% of 3rd party warranties do this with 0 problems at other dealers). Apparently, Tyler did not want to pay the 3% fee for the transaction. Why this was not added to the cost (to me) I will never know. But Tyler would not accept payment and told me they would KEEP my truck until I PAID the full bill (I had already paid the deductible upon completion of the service that day). I wrote to the Service Manager with this problem, hoping to find a solution that worked for everyone. No reply. I emailed the General Manager. No reply. I then emailed Scott Tyler directly to tell him how his customer was being treated, because if it was my business, I would certainly want to know. No reply. I told them all in my email that I was reaching out to correct the issue in order to not have to do what I am doing today, which is share negative feedback with all social media and RamCares. Since there was nothing after several weeks of trying, here we are. And my steering wheel is still crooked, which I will now have to pay someone else to fix. This dealer has rarely fixed a problem I had and has made it a point to fleece me at every turn. I highly recommend you go elsewhere. Here is my experience. 1) Car creaks when stopping or starting. I have driven 100's of cars in my life and never experienced anything like it. Signature says normal body noise. 2) Water pools in the door after rain or car wash and gushes out. My fear was freezing water would damage the paint. Nothing they can do. 3) Paint on my Blue Hyundai peels since 30k miles. I made the mistake of thinking I could take it in later because I bought the 100k platinum warranty. Blue paint only covered for 36k miles but white is extended. 4) Engine light came on for several days and went off. If they scan the code and find one in history its covered. If they don't have to pay them 170 dollars to scan the codes. One hour of a techs time. Sorry but a tech doesn't make 170 dollars an hour that is the dealer charging profit. 5) They put their dumb sticker on the car when I asked them not to. Refused to take it off. I had to peel it off myself but little did I know I just had to wait for the paint to peel off anyway. 6) Poor design from Hyundai exposes a lead screw that moves the driver seat. Seat was jammed. Turned out a dime cut lodged in there because it is exposed. 100 dollars to tell me that. If you still want a Hyundai Kia go to Michigan City. I have gotten multiple people to not buy from Signature and one of them had a problem that Michigan City took 3 weeks to fix.
