I made a service appointment and told them what was wrong with the vehicle. When I called to inquire about it a day later, I was told my appointment was only a placeholder in a queue for the diagnostic machine and it could be another 48 hours before they would even look at it. They had my vehicle for over four weeks and never once called me. I had to initiate every conversation with the service dept. They continually told me stories about when it would be ready and they promised to call me, but neither ever came true. Finally when work was completed they then told me there would be a 3% service charge added due to using a credit card to pay for work done. Why after performing expensive services, would you then pass on that charge to your customer? I know they don't expect customers to carry hundreds or thousands of dollars in cash so it just proves how dirty and underhanded they are. I also found it in very poor taste that the day of my appointment, a salesman contacted me to see if I was interested in selling the vehicle I had just dropped off to be repaired. I feel it's important to share my experience with the service department at Corwin Ford Republic. My primary vehicle is a 2022 F350. There were a few recalls/TSBs that I needed to address, so in early July, I called up Corwin to schedule service. Surprisingly, the delay was approximately 3 months, so I took the first available appointment (end of September). Although there were 3 separate items, they estimated it could be completed in one day. My primary frustration is that once you drop off your vehicle at Corwin Ford Republic, they are a black hole as far as communication. You can leave your service advisor as many voicemails as you want, but they will never call back, even after multiple days. Several times, I asked the operator if they could go and ask the service advisor to take my call, but they cannot. Late afternoon on the day I dropped it off, I called many times and left many voicemails between 3PM and 5:30PM, but they never returned a call. At 5:30PM, I arranged transportation to the dealership, and was surprised to find my service advisor (Kris) hanging out and chatting with others. I asked for my vehicle and he said only 20% had been completed. He could specify which 20% was completed... Kris did offer to allow me to take my vehicle and then reschedule for 2023. I declined. He said that it would be done the next day and that they were just overbooked that day. The next day, I started calling in the afternoon. Eventually I reached a different service advisor who said my truck was ready. I was upset that Kris hadn't called, but thankful that it was finally complete. While on my way to the dealership, that same service advisor called me to let me know it wasn't actually done, but that my assigned service advisor would call as soon as it's complete "first thing in the morning" On the third day, I started calling again in the late afternoon. After an hour of calls, I finally reached a different service advisor who said that Kris wasn't there, but that my vehicle was ready. I finally picked it up nearly end of the day 2 full days after the initial promised date. There are ~3 service advisors on duty, for somewhere around 10 vehicles that are being worked on at any one time. That's just 3 active customers per service advisor. It's unacceptable that they do not have the time to even return a single call to the customer. I'm OK with delays from the service department, but I cannot tolerate a complete lack of communication. I strongly recommend considering a differerent dealership when scheduling warranty work for your Ford. +1 star because I still like Ford as a brand read more

Corwin ford replaced my motor in my 2017 Ford Focus.when i picked it up i found that they cut line to my windsheid wipers when they removed hood. They fixed that with a new hose and canister. Now, my focus is back in the shop with issues arising from when they put in said new motor in. 1ST, the new ford dealer i took it to found that they did Not install the engine control module correctly when they had to remove it to get motor out. So it's just been bouncing around and destroyed it. 2225.00 dollars later. Service manager says that no way did that.. 2nd. Then the ford dealer i took it to found that when they put said new motor in,they smashed the oxygen sensor and just taped it up with electrical tape. The new tech had to cut through it said it looked like they used a whole roll on it.. The way they cut corners i would advise to stay away from Corwin ford of republic as they are crooked as anyone is. An attorney told me if I could prove all this I have a case I could win. I've owned this car since new and I'm the 1 owner. I can surely tell you no one has ever been that far into the motor. took my 2015 f150 in to have it repaired... was leaking coolant, ac not working, radiator fan stays running on high all the time. dropped it off Monday morning... they finally get it repaired on Wednesday afternoon. three days. picked up the truck, fired it up to leave. radiator fan immediately starts running on high, AC still doesn't work long in short, $1000 and three days and didnt the issues. funny thing is, its a glaring hard to miss issue... the fan is so loud you can hear it a block over. for them to call and declare it repaired took some audacity zero stars read more

We bought a gold certified used car from them. They guaranteed us that everything was inspected and in great condition. Less than 2 weeks after buying it the motor blew and had to replaced! We told them we didn't want it anymore and they told us that we could trade it in for a several thousand dollar loss on it or we had to take it home. We spent several Saturdays up there trying to work out a deal but it all ended with us out a lot of money! They just kept telling us that they were doing us a favor by supplying a rental car for the over 3 weeks it took to do the repairs. They charged us for a maintenance package that they had told us was included as well. We told them several times we didn't want the data dot coverage but they charged us for that too. I bought a 2014 Lincoln MKX from this dealer on Saturday. On Sunday the dual air went out. The drivers side is blowing furnace hot air while the passenger side is icy cold. This happened 22 hours after I signed for the car. I was just told that they will do nothing because it was a used car. It is not a complicated fix, but they will do nothing. Do not trust their preowned cars and make sure you look everything over very carefully if you are willing to shop here because once you sign they no longer care. read more

I had an appointment for warranty work and explained that this was my only vehicle that will hold all of my kid's car seats so I had to have it back the same day. They stated they understood and that they would diagnose the issue and then I could bring it back another day for repair. I dropped it off as scheduled at 7:30am and when I returned to pick it up at 5pm it HAD NOT MOVED! They had not even touched it! This dealership used to be absolutely amazing. The service department is a joke. The mechanism in my wife's door handle broke and I didn't have time at that moment to deal with it. We live walking distance from the dealership so we thought it would be a good idea to take the car there. It wasn't until almost the end of the business day the next day that we got a quote emailed. 160+ dollars for the diagnostics and 500 for parts and labor. I immediately called the service agent but kept getting voicemail. I finally decided to just go get the car because I was getting frustrated. When I got there, the service reps were just standing at their desks. I told him I'd been trying to call and his response was, "Well we've been right here". That definitely rubbed me the wrong way considering I had also left a voicemail. After paying them 160 dollars to tell me what I already knew, I had them get the car. It took 30 minutes to get the car. If they had just answered in the first place, we would have been on our way. So I got the part I needed, which they were trying to overcharge me for, elsewhere. They quoted me a 2 hour job which I did myself in less than 1. Don't go to these dealership service departments unless you are taking advantage of a recall. Find an honest mom and pop place. My recommendation is Budget Automotive and Radiator in Springfield. Always had great experiences with them and they are always willing to work with you. Definitely worth the drive to Springfield to deal with honest people. read more

My parents who are in their 8Os purchased a 2022 Ford Escape from them on 10-10-22. They were told the SEL they were purchasing had more power and quicker acceleration than their current SE they owned. For that reason alone they put $500 down payment on 10-8-22 to hold it until purchase. When they arrived to purchase the SEL they discovered that it DID NOT have more power or quicker acceleration than their SE. If they backed out of the purchase they would have lost the $500 hold deposit, even though it was dealer whom had lied. It's sad when dealerships take advantage of people but taking advantage of the elderly is ABUSE. read more

After buying 2 cars and having them searching for a 3rd the did not wish to honor my expensive warranty or personal needs, wouldn't provide the loaner vehicle included in the warranty I paid thousands of dollars for , and wouldn't let me use my own vehicle for errands while waiting my turn for an oil change! My complaints went to the GM and the national rep who did all they could, but they would rather lose a $50,000 customer than be sensible about a $50 oil change. (I was told because of cv19 they couldn't honor the warranty but I could wait in a waiting room with other potentially contagious people. They're dumber than a box of rocks, I have also had to have other dealers redo their shoddy warranty work before as well. I would go elsewhere for service. read more

Absolutely horrible! Had my oil changed in my car yesterday. Had an 8am appt. My car didnt move until 1. I am so glad I wasnt waiting on it or relying on them for a time frame. They did not call me or update the app until I called them at 445. I had to call 7 times before I got an answer! Everytime, it would go to voicemail or I would get someone and it would go to voicemail when I was transferred. They also never rotated my tires but the paperwork states they did! I had a tire pop awhile back that I had replaced so I know what tire that was as it was a different brand. It was in the same spot. I also asked for an appraisal while they had it. I just now got it, over 36 hours later from them having my car!!! I paid 29k for this vehicle 1 1/2 years ago from them. I have to drive 50 miles a day to and from work so I put on more than the "normal" daily mileage average but they offered me "around 15". Not even a set amount either. They were very vague about it. I told them to go kick rocks because I paid 29k for it less than 2 years ago. I was not taking half! I know they have to resell the car but that is a bit extreme! They dont care about their customers, they dont care if you have a time frame you have to have your car back by, nor do they care what you think of them. I have never dealt with a company so self centered and ridiculous! I will ride my horse to work before I purchase another vehicle from this company. I will also take my oil changes somewhere else too. They ignore their customers, do not seem to care about money and will talk down to you like they are some kind of rich snob and you are a poor homeless man. Never again. read more

Bought a 2021 Ford F150.The panic alarm started going off while out in public,so brought it to attn of Service writer when at Corwin to get the oil changed in a $3k lifetime maintanence package bought with the truck.Some high scool slug changed my oil, not an actual apprentice They said they could schedule me the following day. Showed up for said sheduled visit for service to be told I would have to leave it for at least 2-3 days. Explained I was 40 miles from home,and had no other xportation, and I would wait in lobby.They told me it wasnt an option. Roughly 6 weeks ago we purchased a use car from Republic Ford, the 3rd in the last 5 or so years from them. Always had good experience with them and the aerobics there. The buying experience was fine this time as well. Until we took delivery, there was only 1 key. It was closing time and the salesman said he would find it, we could pick it up later. 3 days went by and no word, so i called and was told that the place they got the car from had. A week later the salesman could not get hold of anyone where the car came from. After several more days and phone calls the salesman said I could bring it by when the dealership had someone there making keys. He was to call me and tell me when this was. Now 4 weeks, 13 phone calls, 8 voicemails, and one note handed to this salesman with absolutely NO response from the salesman, I called today and just asked for used car sales - and he picked up. He explained that the dealership would not pay for a key. I asked why he had not returned any of the messages I left over the last 4 weeks. He was avoiding me as much as possible. I asked for a business manager. He said there was only the used sales manager and he wouldn't be able to talk until tomorrow. I found a Ford F250 truck on their website, called to see if it was still available drove 50 miles test drove the vehicle and fell in love with it. Negotiated a price signed a contract including the title on Thursday evening and was going to drop the full payment off Monday when I returned home from a trip I was leaving on Friday morning. Ordered a new fifth wheel hitch online that night to fit B&W flip ball already installed in this truck. Everything was fine except they sold and delivered it to someone else, apparently with my signature on the title. Said they would locate me another truck I have called several times and get told ever excuse in the book. Horrible experience no chance of a customer here. Everything leading up to driving off the lot went great. The salesperson didn't pressure us, and it all went fairly smooth. Went to do the title and registration on the vehicle and that's when we found out that the previous owner had never paid their sales tax. That meant we couldn't register it and pay our sales tax until it was fixed. Granted, the title department at Corwin did an excellent job of getting this remedied, and saw to it that we got an extension on our temp tag, but it shouldn't have been an issue in the first place and they even admitted that. Now let's talk about the service department, and it's lack of customer service. Made an appointment for service on a Tuesday, which turned out to be just a good time to drop it off since they didn't start doing anything until Wednesday. When I called (Wednesday afternoon), the service coordinator told me what they found and how much it was going to be. I asked why it wasn't covered by my warranty, and was told I didn't have one. I assured him we did and low and behold when he looked it up, there it was. I was told he'd have to talk to the warranty office (more on that later) and that he'd call me back in the morning, I at this point verbally authorized the work to be done. Friday morning, after not receiving a call back, I call them back. My assigned coordinator is off for the weekend, but let me see if I can help...nope, he needs to talk to the technician and will call me back. No call back, but I do receive a text that says nothing is covered by my warranty, and it will cost this much to fix it, half of what I was quoted. Try to get an answer, but it's too late on a Friday afternoon. Monday I call and speak to my assigned service coordinator, and they haven't done any of the repairs because I hadn't authorized it. Even though I had verbally authorized it Wednesday, I didn't go into their website and click on the authorization (which they don't explain to you), and they never felt the need to reach out to remind me. We begin discussing the cost which is now twice what the text message/web link showed, because I hadn't clicked the authorize button. I have to say I appreciate the updates with technology for getting things done, but nothing beats good old fashioned customer service. I picked up my vehicle the next day without having the repairs done and will take it somewhere else. They hadn't even put the sticker in the window for the oil change they performed. Now, the warranty. If it's not the original Ford Motor Company warranty, it's pointless to have it. The warranty provider can choose not cover things, even when it's something Ford has recognized as an issue and sent out technical bulletins for, even though the repairs I was in need of are shown to be covered in the warranty. I will not be taking my vehicle back to Corwin Ford in Republic or any other Corwin dealership. I will not go there to buy a vehicle again. I would rather drive 35 minutes to Ozark and have it taken care of by James River Ford for warranty issues or US Auto for non-warranty work. read more

Bought a Kia Sorento from there used car lot next to Republic Ford. They really didn't have much of a selection of cars to choose from. The only two cars that appealed to me was the Sorento and a smaller Toyota model. After taking the Sorento for a test drive I came back to test drive the Toyota. After testing driving the Toyota I was leaning more toward the Toyota. How I wished I went for the Toyota. The salesman was really trying to sell me the Sorento and promised me he could get me a good deal. Not having the best of credit at the time and in need of a good running vehicle and tired of looking I foolishly allowed myself to be talked into buying the Sorento. They really stuck it to me on finance charges and other fees and I ended up paying way more for the Kia then it was actually worth. But at the time I needed wheels and once again my credit wasn't the best. I had nothing but problems with that Damn Kia. From the get go. I must of had it in the mechanic's shop for one thing after the other. I finally got a much newer and better car. But I was much wiser and better informed on purchasing a car this time. And didn't fall for any bullshit from the sales man that time. I know now why the salesman at Republic Ford was wanting to sell me the Kia so bad. It was a piece of crap and I happen to be the perfect sucker at the time to unload it on. Will never buy a car from Republic Ford again. read more

Now the car is still making terrible grinding sounds and the dealership says there is nothing wrong with it!
