6.24.24 took my car to Complete Auto after a bad experience with Daytona Auto who lied to me saying I need new brakes to pass inspection. Didn't tell COMPLETE WHY i FAILED, they found a nail in my tire, brakes were fine and they matched the price at Buds Tire and I passed. I can't say enough good things about Complete. Just had another repair on my car the other day at the shop. The customer service was top notch like always. Every employee has a friendly face and present a friendly atmosphere. The work is also done in a timely manner with consistent updates along the way. It might cost a little more in the end, but you get what you pay for. I'm willing to pay a little for service that'll keep me on the road longer. My dad was an auto mechanic for decades. Up until his health declined, he was usually able to fix quite a few issues that occurred on his car or my car. Once he wasn't physically able to, he looked for a quality shop he could trust. He was a bit stubborn and picky with the service from the few other shops he went to before. I then took him to Complete for a repair when they were still on Kearney. From then on until he passed away, he would only let Complete work on his vehicle. To me, that says a lot coming from a former diesel mechanic that didn't trust many shops. Since then, Complete has always been honest, reliable, and reasonable when working with them. I've recommended them to a few coworkers that ended up taking their vehicles to them as well. I'll gladly continue to use their shop and recommended them to friends. Also, they have the cleanest customer waiting area I've ever seen at an automotive shop. Pre-purchase inspection resulted in a texted link to a child-like web interface at xoxocar.com which lacked expected details. It contained a basic color code of green, yellow, or red for a total of 49 inspection items, many of which were irrelevant to the decision of purchasing a vehicle. For example, tire pressure. They listed tire pressure (something that can easily be adjusted for free at a gas station air pump) rather than listing the tire tread depth measurements (more important in purchase price negotiations). I also had to reach out to ask for the measurements of the brake pads to know how much life those had left. Because details and measurements were not given on the online report, some trust was lost. It was disappointing that they missed opportunity to upload note and/or photo of major components under the vehicle like axles, suspension, exhaust. Instead, they chose to only upload pictures of very minor components -- air filters -- that were easily accessible and discoverable by a driver on the ground without assistance of a mechanic. Again, some trust was lost about whether the vehicle was even put up on a lift. Overall, the value for the $115 fell short compared to the same type of service received for less than $50 elsewhere. This service by Complete Automotive feels more akin to the $0 courtesy inspection that is provided when getting an oil change at a dealer. In fact, the title of the results web page was "courtesy inspection" not "pre-purchase" inspection. I've emailed a request for details to be sent, instead of the watered down web page, and hope they can produce that accurately without requiring the seller to return with the vehicle again. read more

First of all, the waiting room in this shop is unlike any I've ever been to at a mechanic shop. It was so cozy and they had tons of snacks and drinks and a warm electric fireplace while I waited. They also have a shuttle service but I just got an alignment and waited. The customer service was wonderful. They are very upfront and I felt they were honest with me, which is big because being a woman I usually feel I'm being told more is wrong than there actually is, but I didn't feel like that here. read more

The greatest auto care experience I have ever had, PERIOD! I broke down on a cross country drive from Tijuana, MX to Boston, MA, in Licking, MO, and these guys fixed my radiator at a reasonable price, checked up on me every day to see if there was anything they could do, assisted in getting a hotel, and even took me out to get medicine, and to a ball game to get me out of the hotel room. My mother who is on a fixed income, thought she was dealing with a christian shop, however, after checking her bill and verifying with 4 other auto repair shops for the work that was done, I find that she has been over charged by not less than $800.00. This is what a senior citizen can expect from this rip off shop. They even bumped up the tow charge to make more money. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Beware... AAA recommended complete automotive to us, they basically tried to gouge us on the cost of an alternator, their markup was more than 100%! I could buy two new alternators from an auto part store for what they were wanting to charge. I know parts get marked up, but c'mon. Tried 2 get my car air recharged. Air worked fine. Always cooled the car. Took it to Complete Automotive. After recharge it only blew hot air. After taking it back once for a fix, nope still broken. After 3rd attempt by them, still no fix. Now I had a car where the air conditioner did work, to hot air. So the tech said $500 for a new compressor. Owner took no responsibility. Blamed me. (I didn't work on the car) Owner and business are dishonest. Owner should ask his front desk person. Got a quote to have a gas tank put on my car. When I am in to have it done I confirmed the quote. Somehow the price had gone up $100 without them even starting the work. When I called them on this the front desk person meekly apologized and said there must have been some computer error. Amazing experience. I was driving cross country and had car trouble in Springfield, MO. AAA recommended a mechanic that ended up being too busy and that mechanic recommended Complete Automotive.. Turned out to be an awesome recommendation. Friendly staff and they understood my car issue right away. Was going to be a 4 hour wait but the owner heard about my travel plans and that I was in route to my destination so he stepped out of his office and worked on my truck personally so we didn't have to wait. Fixed it in about 1 hour and we were back on the road. Excellent service, great price for the fix. Since we were traveling he checked the car out, added some oil and antifreeze and said we were good to go. I have been a long time customer,have taken both our cars to them.. I did not like the fact that scheduled an appointment on there web sight and 30 min before time I received a call. "We can not do your car today maybe we can work it in but it will take awhile. If they can't honor appointments made on there sight maybe they should not offer that option. I'm moving across the country and pulled into Springfield, MO with two cars, two kids, two pets in 95 degree weather and no A/C in both cars. Not a good day. I was given the Complete Automotive number to call in the hopes that I would get service for both vehicles as soon as possible. They took me immediately and couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful. Unfortunately, I blew a hole in my compressor, so there was no quick fix, but my other vehicle was an easy recharge of the A/C. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE, long story short. Car broke down.. Wasn't my battery, dad and tow truck guy told me it was a starter. Got car towed here... Told them I needed starter fixed.. No. They told me I had to get a diagnostic test to tell me what was wrong with it... Not happy, but had no more triple a tows... Guess what ?? They call me in less then an hour and guess what they tell me it is ??? A starter... Well no shit. Now we are at square 1.. Which I originally told you... But now you charge me $70.00 to tell me what I already told you... Bs. Already. Then you charge $475 for a starter. Call other people in town and they are right at $400. Called the company next door, g.I Moore tire, they do no inspection cost, And charge less AND HAVE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Although what I had fixed was pricey (air compressor for about 1300) the service is unparalleled! They have chocolate sitting by the computers and also offer fresh coffee as well as water and soda. I was driving through town when my car began making a strange noise and did not want to be here long as I still had 1000 miles to go on my trip with a deadline. They got my parts very fast and installed them as soon as they arrived. They are nice people to work for and seem to be knowledgable about cars. At least I hope so!!! read more

I really like this company. They're kind and the work they do seems to be excellent . However yesterday they quoted me $550 to have my brakes and rotors replaced on the two front tires. I went to Midas and got the same job done for $280. I'm glad I checked around before having it done. I will continue to go to Complete Automotive because I really like them. read more
