Woke up this morning telling my gf COS & PI was my all time favorite breakfast. The hash brown alone puts it up there. But the service, the cute neighborhood feel is what really makes it my favorite. We've been coming here regularly--not frequently-- since before COVID. I remember donating to their gofundme during those very difficult times. They've had to tweak and retweak the menu over the years, but I still come for the salmon toast for breakfast. Turkey Salad for lunch. Sometimes I order the irresistible crunchy French fries. I used to always walk by this spot but never tried them. So let's see if they're pretty good eh or ew. I got their bacon cheddar jalapeño scone, hash brown, and get to the chopper burger to try. The bacon cheddar jalapeño scone had a crisp outside, buttery moist crumbly inside, was a bit sweet and spicy, and packed with plenty of jalapenoy flaves. Wasn't getting much bacon or cheddar tho. The hash brown was smaller than expected but had a crispity crunchity exterior with gooey, creamy, rich, cheesey, savory, flavorful interior. The burger was MASSIVE and came with a juicy patty, Gruyere cheese, sweet gooey caramlized onions and bacon jam, savory aioli, bitter arugula, creamy limey mashed avocado that helped cut through all the richness, and crispity crunchy cheddar cheese and bacon that helped provide a nice textural contrast and was all on a pillowy buttery brioche bun. A Decade of Good Eats Sign of a good restaurant is the consistency of food quality and customer service year after year. The simplicity of a smaller menu means that they can focus on delicious items throughout the entire menu. With a constant line out the door they're able to pump out food from the kitchen so quickly. I don't think it was a matter of a couple minutes from when I ordered and the drinks and parts of the order started to arrived at the table. The local neighborhood charm of Cos&Pi is why people love this place. It really does feel like everyone there walked from their house down the block. I don't know how they have the prices they have with such a high quality of food. I got the spamwich (with homemade spam) and my partner got the croissant, which they were able to switch out the bacon for tempeh for. Both were delicious. I wasn't totally in love with the spam, so next time, I'll probably ask to sub out the spam for more veggies, avo, or tempeh, but the eggs were SO good. We also got the raspberry hibiscus tea lemonade, and an arnold palmer, and I think that was like, one of the best arnold palmers I've ever had - strong tea flavor that was balanced by a prominent lemonade flavor. And the raspberry hibiscus was so delicious. I can't believe that I haven't been here yet (it's been on my list for almost 10 years), so happy to finally have made it out. First time here and we brought our dog, I called ahead to confirm they're dog friendly. Easy to locate & small parking lot behind the restaurant. Walk up and order, food delivered to your table. We were given menus to view while waiting in line and after ordering we sat in the back patio. We loved our meals and will be back! I've hear a lot about these small cafe nestled in the Pasadena area that serves delicious brunch items. We had a nice little sampler to see what they're all about. We had the Hash brown Au Gratin, Wild Berry toast, avocado toast, Applewood bacon, and garlic fries. All were incredibly tasty and hit different flavor profiles. The standouts were the has browns and garlic fries. The hash brown was so good and the cheesy filling definitely provided a unique pairing with the potato dish. Had this place saved on my list and finally got to try it today, and I think its safe to say that I'm glad I had it saved. We had the truffle fries, the salmon croissant and the breakfast burrito and all of it was phenomenal. The hot sauces they have in the restaurant is really good. I think they either make it in house or have a local manufacturer. Whatever the case may be, we ended up purchasing one of their sauces. There is private parking in the back along with some additional outdoor seating. The bathroom seems to be on the outside as well. Service was good, not really a lot of interaction though, since you buy your food at the front first before you sit. The one waitress that got me a to-go box was nice. We have been eating at Cos&Pi since they opened. What can I say? They have solid bkfst/brunch and lunch offerings. The French toast is superb and my kids always get the breakfast burger which is messy but tasty. The lemon bars are incredible and we usually buy all of them to-go when we visit. The location is off the beaten track (literally by the metro line) with some seating in front, indoor seating and tented seating in the back parking lot. Parking is easy. We never feel rushed here and can have a good quality meal without the hassle of fighting for parking. Definitely put it in your brunch rotation! read more

The reviews for this place are accurate. The food has been great every time I've eaten here, but admittedly I didn't come often because it was pricey by my standards. I don't know why, but they've recently dropped their prices by a lot (eg sandwiches that were previously $18 are now $12), and as far as I can tell, portion size is the same and everything still tastes great. It's much more affordable now. Service remains great. Definitely recommend, and planning to go back more often. read more

There were tables in the front and back as well if you wanted to enjoy some fresh air and shaded sunlight. Best huevos in a long time! They felt fluffy as I was eating them. The husb and I agreed these were the best eggs we've ever had. The sausage was delicious as well. The hash browns had cheese in them, so I gave them to the husb. I'm also not a fan of bacon, so that went to the husb as well. I got the peanut butter and jelly toast it was tasty. I topped off my brunch with coffee which was delicious as well. The husb had orange juice, which he felt was fresh. It was busy, but not busy, in a comforting way. Employees were competent, doing their work as expected, they were friendly enough. They have two outside areas to eat, but since it was hot, we opted to eat inside. The restroom is in the back of the restaurant, but it's accessible to all. There's other food in the menu the husb and I want to try for sure. We will be back! read more

The avocado toast was massive, more fluffy than I like (would opt for a more toastier bread) but still delicious. The LABT was huge! Definitely would get that again. Came here with my mom for mother-daughter brunch date. Saw this on Yelp so decided to give this place a try. There is only street parking so don't park in the back parking lot as that's for other customers. Getting here was painful- on Google Maps it shows you need to turn right but turns out that's the wrong side and we ended up having to detour. Wait time was also a while since it's a really small location. We got the following items: 1. Matcha Latte: 7/10 Solid matcha latte, I appreciated how the menu shared what type of matcha powder they used. As someone that has tried Junbi matcha before I know it's quite delicious and it didn't disappoint. 2. Avocado Toast: 9/10 This was shockingly really good. I thought it was just going to be beautifully decorated and taste bad but this toast shocked me. Docked off a point because it's WAY too expensive but the flavors really came together. Definitely recommend trying it once, the seasoning and cheese really enhanced the flavor. 3. Smoked Salmon Croissant: 8/10 I surprisingly liked this too. Thought it was gonna be too salty because of the salmon but it was actually okay. The pickled onions tasted so good with the salmon and the eggs were the right texture. This made me full- a very hefty sandwich. The croissant wasn't too buttery too so I liked how it didn't overpower the sandwich Overall an amazing brunch spot and would recommend! I came here for brunch on a weekend after a work event nearby. My friend went ahead and ordered the food and got a seat, so I didn't notice a wait, but it actually didn't seem to crowded. I ordered the salmon toast, which I got over the smoked salmon croissant sandwich mainly because it came with crushed avocados on it. I actually really enjoyed it. The toast was crunchy on the outside and delicious. The goat cheese wasn't too gamey and provided a nice creamy contrast. I loved the pickled onions on it as well. My friend's go-to is the corn tostada. It comes with some sweet corn, cotija cheese, salsa verde, and eggs on top of crispy corn tortilla. It was amazing.
