Awesome coffee shop - ordered the putu (pandan coffee), a double matcha, their seasonal lattes (dirty longan latte and matcha cream top with wintermelon tea) Each drink was made well and I can see myself visiting again. Their dessert shelf looked delicious and filled with other pandan goodies.

Banana bread ( they heated up for me) and I couldn't tell you the name of the other food, but it was good.

What a cute little coffee shop! The coffee was delicious, the food was really good, and the whole place had such a cozy vibe. Definitely a spot worth stopping by!

I've heard about this place for a while now but just tried for the first time!! I looooove an interesting coffee shop and this one with Indonesian fusion flavors was on my list :) The Putu ($8)-- Lots of pandan flavor, cream top is nice and thick and doesn't melt easily, however reallyyyyy weak coffee taste. I got half sweet but could probably go down to quarter sweet next time. Because of the weak coffee taste it's just like sweet pandan milk? But the pandan is SUUUPER nice and fragrant like they did not skimp out on the pandan at all. If you've never had pandan I guess I'd describe it as a really fragrant Asian vanilla? It smells really good. Don't let the green scare you! And it's absolutely nothing like matcha-- it's just a sweetener. Tried a sip of the Dirty Milo (hot) and that was really good too but regular sugar is just way, wayyyy too sweet. It's like Asian flavors but American level sweetness here. Love the Asian fusion flavors as a concept though and am curious about other flavors! Wish the coffee was stronger is all. Will be back to try more things and maybe some pastries next time!

Arrived around 10 am on Saturday and was able to find a seat easily. Vibe 5/5 Nicely decorated with posters, had an old school kinda feel. It was moderately loud and there was a lot of foot traffic. ordered : (5/5) - The putu: the barista recommended this and I was pleasantly surprised. The Pandan works great with the coffee and it didn't taste too strong. - Putu ayu: it tasted like a fluffy cake with Pandan and coconut. It was good, but nothing spectacular. The other pastries on display also looked delicious! service: (5/5) The place was fairly busy but the barista took their time explaining the menu. parking: (5/5) Large free lot across the street, otherwise street parking. overall: The drink was delicious and I would come back to try others!

This place is definitely a vibe! Loved the cozy and intimate decor. I got the Dirty Milo and thought it was decent! I wanted to try the other drinks but they had wheat in it and the barista seemed more confident that the Dirty Milo did not have wheat. For parking, I turned onto a small side street past a lagree studio and parked in a structure.

Came here with a friend on a Friday morning and had such a nice, chill experience. Uncle Fung is a super cute little coffee spot with a cozy vibe and a small selection of homemade pastries. We ordered the putu and a dirty Milo. The putu was definitely our favorite, the coconut pandan cream on top was so good and really made it stand out. The dirty Milo was solid too, just not quite as memorable in comparison. I already had breakfast before coming, so I didn't get to try their pandan chiffon cake, but it looked really good and I'd come back for it. It's a great place to study or just hang out for a bit. The baristas were really friendly and helpful, especially since it was our first time there. Parking was easy too. There's a free lot in the back and also a free public parking structure on First Ave, which makes it super convenient. Overall, a solid spot if you're in the area and want something a little different from your usual coffee run.

Uncle Fung Coffee Stall 19 S Garfield Ave Unit c, Alhambra, CA 91801 We enjoyed our coffee at this charming coffee shop located at 19 S Garfield Ave Unit C, Alhambra, CA 91801. The coffee was exceptional, and the pastries were delightful. It's definitely a place worth visiting!

What a treasure in Alhambra! This place has amazing Asian/ Indonesian inspired matchas and coffees, and little treats as well. I ordered the double matcha which was strong and delicious, and a pandan coffee which was also strong and delicious. Treats were tasty and not too sweet. I love the ambiance of this place as well with its Indonesian vintage posters and paintings all around the store. I love finding such qualities places like this so I am super stoked!! I will be back for sure.

First initial thought, it was decorated nicely inside! We ordered the dirty milo & melati over crema and we were very impressed with the tastes of our coffee! Our drinks came out within 5 mins of ordering and we are excited to come back to try more drinks!

This place is usually pretty busy and rightfully so, considering the unique menu and cute, colorful decor reminiscent of colonial SE Asia. Not the biggest menu but a nice curated selection, including pastries. The Putu is a popular pandan inspired coffee drink, which I've tried twice. There are other tropical drinks with coconut and also matcha. I see people with their laptops working at the small tables, so I guess it's great for that, too. Overall not cheap compared to Starbucks but probably a better value for something more unique!

It's a fairly small cafe. Very popular. It was very crowded when I was there. All the tables were taken and barely a spot to stand to wait for my order. Interior decor is Asian retro. Pretty cool vibes. Menu is quite unique with its flavors. I tried the iced putu and the chiffon pandan and talam ubi. The desserts were en pointe with the flavors and textures. The coffee was not bad either. I could taste the panda flavor despite the coffee being a bold taste. Staff was pleasant.

Tasty matcha but almost had an after taste that was quite chalky. Decent matcha, prob took about 10 mins to get our drinks. Small area, not much seating. Parking behind in the garage. I'd come back and try other drinks.

One of my favorite coffee shops in the 626. This is a Malaysian/Indonesian coffee shop that brings unique modern coffee drinks to the area. It's a great place to study and get some work done. The interior has really cool decorations including old magazine prints on the wall. It feels familiar and welcoming at the same time. There's plenty of parking in the structure located behind the shop. D1 customer service for sure. One of the baristas made me the wrong drink, so she remade it promptly. Upon my next visit, she gave me a coffee on the house. All the drinks I tried were solid. The pastries are a bit dry though. The drink menu has really good variety. Iced Americano, 9/10: Can't go wrong. Not too bitter. Smooth. Tasted some fruity berry notes in their espresso. Putu, 8/10: A little too sweet for me. The pandan is a nice touch. Coco cloud, 9/10: Coffee and coconut pair really well together and the chocolate adds a bit of depth and richness to the drink. It's a treat for sure.

Service is efficient and our drinks came out decently quickly. This was around lunch time on a Sunday. As with almost every new drink or coffee place, minimalist aesthetic and a place for people to study and catch up I suppose. Wouldn't say it's the most unique. We got the: 1) Hojicha Latte: -We got this iced and you have the option to sweeten it with simple syrup or something else. We got this with a black sesame flavor and just the standard milk that it came with. -Not too sweet, but the taste of the sesame or even the hojicha can be a bit stronger as we've had similar drinks to this that were more appealing. 2) Iced Chocolate Milk: -I mean you can't really mess this up to be honest. It's mixed well and doesn't taste scathingly sweet like a bottled chocolate milk. My boyfriend got a no sugar coffee here and it still tasted pretty sweet (like unadjusted Starbucks sweet) and it was just tossed into my chocolate milk because he couldn't stomach it. Overall, it's just okay. I'm not really a coffee person, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

6/7/2026 BLACK…read moreTRUFFLE MUSHROOM DANISH The danish croissant had beautiful laminated, buttery, crispy layers. The béchamel was a bit clunky in texture. Good amount of black truffle flavor. Mushrooms weren't overly mushy and good flavor and texture. Gruyère cheese brought a lovely salty, cheesy flavor. Overall, okay, but not great. Arugula wilts and it was tough to eat after I reheated it in the toaster oven. I was advised to reheat the danish in the toaster oven before consuming, which I did. DUBAI PISTACHIO CHOCOLATE CROISSANT Rich and very pistachio-forward flavor! This was done well! Tasted like dubai chocolate in croissant form. However, the croissant was not as crispy and was on the softer side. Crispy kataifi on top brought that crispy texture. Savory unsweetened pistachio custard. The sweetness came from the chocolate drizzle over the croissant and the kataifi. Overall, enjoyed it! CHOCOLATE PECAN PRESSED CROISSANT Crispy, crunchy, flaky, buttery, caramelized layers! It does remind you of a flattened more crispier, buttery palmier and maybe even a mille feuille! The plain pressed croissant tasted like caramelized sugar with a buttery flakiness from the croissant. The chocolate pecan side was delicious with dark chocolate and crunchy pecans on top of that buttery, flaky, crispy pressed croissant! Recommend! 8 PCS ASSORTED MINI CHOUX SET You choose what flavors you want. I chose the following. Black Sesame Hoijicha - Strong hojicha flavor right off the bat! I barely taste the black sesame, except when you eat the black sesame paste at the top of the cream puff. When you bite into the whole cream puff, you only get the hojicha flavor. Very good and if you're a hojicha lover, you won't regret getting this! Taro Salted Egg Yolk - A new flavor that was added recently. You can taste the taro on top and the salted egg yolk on the bottom when eaten separately. But when eaten together, depending on where your tongue hits, you get more taro or salted yolk. Choux pastry is crunchy. This was delicious and definitely a repeat order too! I asked the owner and they will continue with this new flavor for now. They did not have the Koyamaen Matcha, when I purchased it via HotPlate. They ran out of it when I went to pick-up at the bakery, so they offered a refund or to replace with another mini choux. They brought back the Maple Pecan with Dark Chocolate Coating as a temporary replacement for the Koyamaen Matcha. But I opted for another Taro Salted Egg Yolk. Classic 64% Chocolate, Lemon Delight, Signature Biscoff Crunch were my other mini choux orders. All consistently delicious and done well. Please see my previous review on these flavors. RASPBERRY, ROSE & LYCHEE CROIFFIN This new edition was not part of Hotplate. I had to order it separately in-store. But wow, this was absolutely delightful! The cream had a pink color with swirls of raspberry compote and there were pieces of real lychee inside! The rose flavor was not overpowering, but complemented both the raspberry cream. The croiffin was flaky, crispy and buttery! This is my new favorite, very good and well done! I will continue to order this as long as it is available! JAPANESE BLACK SESAME CREAM TOP Love all things black sesame. So had to order this! This took a bit of wait time, much longer than expected. This was a simple latte style iced coffee with black sesame cream top. You can taste the coffee, but there was also milk in it, so it was a milkier coffee. Once you mix the black sesame cream top, all you can taste is the black sesame. So yes, it is a strong black sesame flavor in this drink. It was good, but not great to order for the second time. ONLINE ORDER Ordered via Hotplate.com. This has been the easiest way to order and pick-up. Super easy and not fussy at all! Once you order once via Hotplate.com, they give you the option for drop alerts via text when Browned goes live for future orders. You can also order directly via website as well. Make sure you have your confirmation email and order number ready for pick-up. CUSTOMER SERVICE Excellent service! They forgot to give me part of my online order and immediately called me and texted me making sure I won't leave without it! The owner and patisserie chef apologized, yet so relieved I did not leave without my order. She was so sweet and kind! I chatted with her as she was packing up my order. INDOOR + OUTDOOR SEATING AVAILABLE No seats for large groups. PARKING Free parking is available at The One Residential in basement P1. You can see Browned straight ahead as you arrive from the parking elevator. Personally, I recommend street parking. If you arrive before noon, there is free street parking right outside of The One Residential. It is much easier to drive out and also the parking garage is very small, dark and very narrow to drive through.

I grabbed their six piece cream puff set for my first visit, as I wanted to try out more flavors at once. Luckily for me, I got some of the last few items as the owner explained that they tend to sell out. The puffs run a bit smaller than what you might expect from other competitors; however, it didn't deter me. The spot does not have a lot of seating aside from a few barstools, so you might have to plan for that. Once I got my cream puffs, the texture is what got me. The crispy outside gives a nice crunch when you bite in, then you get hit with soft cream filling that is "not too sweet". With clean flavors that come out without any artificial aftertaste, I really enjoyed what I had. The owner comes from Hong Kong as she used to run a bakery there as well before this. If you have the chance to talk with her you'll see how much she loves what she does. She lit up when asked about the flavors and shared a couple quick stories about her time there. Super friendly.
