Delicious! Growing up in NJ/NY area I have pretty high standards for our pizza. I was shocked to find such delicious pizza on the island! I love that you can sit and enjoy your pizza outside the truck as well, very family friendly. Our pizzas were delicious and I was super impressed with the pickle pizza. Great concoction. Service was kind & quick. Great place to stop!

honestly amazing. pizza was fresh and came out fast and not too expensive at all. the seating and vibe is great too there's cornhole and some fire jamaican music playing, would be awesome in the evening with people.

Would have loved to try this, the reviews were good. But every day that we tried to visit, the sign was out that they were closed due to the heat. It was 82. Sorry, but it's summer in Virginia. If you think this is too hot, maybe a food truck isn't the business for you.

Delicious firebrick oven pizza! Think personal size pizza. We got two for our family of four (kids 8&6) and it was plenty for us with a few slices left for a late night snack! Ordered at the food truck and he brought it out to our car when it was done!

This is really good pizza. Not just really good beach pizza to enjoy on vacation but if this trailer was in my neighborhood, I would be there all the time. Located next to Whippy's, Cosa is a trailer situated in a yard with a small gravel parking lot that fits about six cars. They have small patio tables and chairs for outdoor seating. If you look into the trailer and yard you'll see their very own wood burning stove. We ordered the meatza and americano. The americano is a bbq chicken type of pizza and it was so good I ate it all. In one sitting. Literally an entire pizza. Love the thin and slightly charred crust. So naturally I ordered another pizza-the lemon ricotta version of a white pizza. Just as delicious. While we were there they actually sold out of pizzas at 3pm, that's how popular it was. Added bonus they gave my puppy a Cosa tennis ball! Will be back!!!

Located next to Mr. Whippy, Cosa serves delicious wood fired pizzas. We arrived right when they opened and two pizzas (12") took about 20 minutes to make. Got the Pepperpony and Meatza. I enjoyed the Meatza which came pepperoni, italian sausage, prosciutto, red onion, and arugula. The dough was slightly burnt and bubbly. Toppings were generous and fresh. Don't be too eager to eat a slice because it's hot and your toppings will slide off. I enjoyed the crust which was soft, slightly chewy, yet crispy at the same time. C&N enjoyed their Pepperpony pizza, which also came with a good amount of pepperoni. Parking is available in the lot where Cosa sits. Entrance is standard car size and I found quite a few people (us included) turned right before the entrance to the parking lot. Note there are no restrooms here. But since it's next to Mr. Whippy, you could grab some dessert or coffee when you use the restroom there.

Great pizza! All of the crusty goodness of a wood-fired pizza. So far, the best pizza on the island that we have tried. The margarita was tasty and had the right balance of cheese to sauce to crust. We called ahead at lunchtime and it was a 1.5 hour wait (it was a rainy day so likely higher demand). Definitely call ahead! Folks were really nice at pickup--even though we had to wait extra due to an order mix-up, they made the pizzas right away. Will be back next time we are in town!

The pizza here is amazing! I had a great experience eating here while on vacation last summer, and when I came to Chincoteague again this year, stopping at Cosa was at the top of my to-do list. Being from New Jersey, it's hard to find great pizza out of state, but I love this place! I had a margherita pie, and my boyfriend had the shrimp fra diavolo pie and they were both delicious! Seeing all their featured pizzas on their Instagram page makes me look forward to coming back next year. read more

Hands down the beat pizza I've ever had. I had the meat pizza - pepperoni, sausage etc .. the ingredients were fresh and obviously sourced well. The fennel in the sausage was perfect. The crust is a religious experience. I've eaten a lot of great pizza all over the country and this place kicks every pizza place's ass. Order! read more

Honestly this pizza truck deserves 5 stars. It's always hard to find good food in beach towns for me but the pizza here is really really good. We ordered the pepperoni pizza and it was delicious! We already want to go back and try some other pizzas from their menu. Definitely recommend checking them out if you're ever in town. read more

We tried four of their pizzas tonight - all four were delicious. Fresh and inventive toppings, came out perfectly cooked, chewy and thin crust. We ordered, had a bit of a wait so we took a loop of the wildlife refuge and picked up some beer at the Thirsty Mosquito. Came back for a delicious meal. We visit every summer and hope Cosa remains a fixture on the island for a long time. read more

Delicious wood fired pizza! Vegan and gluten free options. There was an hour wait when I went around noon on a Friday but they will text you 5-10 mins before your pizza is ready so you don't have to wait there. Pizza was absolutely amazing. Light and crispy crust. Quality pepperoni and the mikes hot honey was a welcome surprise. Hope this place sticks around in Chincoteague! read more

Really cool wood fired pizza spot. The ricotta they use has a really nice lemony flavor, so I highly recommend anything that has ricotta on it. It can take around 20 minutes to cook the pizza, but the wait is worth it. read more

A hidden Gem!!! As a native New Yawker who loves her pizza, this far surpassed my expectations. Perfect crispy crust, perfect mozzarella, perfect sauce..and with fresh basil leaves. Simply said- THE best pizza I've had since coming back to the states from Italy. It's very authentic, good pizza, and even have truffles!! They're always busy, if that says anything in itself. I came here twice on a four day vacation, but only because they were closed two out of the four days, otherwise I would've been here each day. Very friendly, nice people :) read more

Oh my god is this pizza delicious! As good as the wood fired brick oven pizza you'll get in New York or whereabouts. I could go on and on but don't need to. Delicious crust not burnt. Family had margarita pizzas we inhaled it. Anyone who knows me understands I never give out five stars except once in a blue moon. This place merits it! read more

Wow this new pizza joint is amazing, the owners are very friendly and the pizza is very delicious. Perfectly cooked crust and the sauce was amazing and tasted fresh. I highly recommend it! We had the spicy pepperpony I was too busy eating to take a picture lol but it was great! read more

The Lemon Song is perfection. Salty, sweet-tart, creamy, savory perfection. We enjoyed every one we tried. Even just the plain cheese "launch pad" was excellent. My kids loved them. The Imperial was another favorite. Loved that they'd text me when my order was almost ready so I could return to pick up--especially since there is usually a wait. But definitely worth it! read more

This place is normally closed this time of year but they decided to do a pop-up this weekend and we're so glad the did! Their pizza was phenomenal! The thin crust pizza was quite flavorful with some char from the wood-fired oven. And the size was perfect for the two of us. read more

Nice little food truck located in a good spot on the island. Pizza was interesting. My ratings for pizza are influenced based on the fact that I grew up with the greatest pizza in the universe so I can be a bit picky when it comes to reviewing other pizza. I like the vibe of this place and do look forward to trying several other of their offerings and once I do, I will revisit this review. read more

Typical chincoteague. Where else could you run a business in your side yard? But this is the American dream, running a small business. And boy is it good! We had a Meat Za and LaunchPad and they were two of the best darn pizzas we've had! If you're on the island. You have to stop by and try for yourself! read more

Stopped in her on a whim while looking for a lunch spot. We ordered two pizzas to share between us(2 adults 1 child) and a summer salad. The salad was a side salad size and very good. Pizza took a little while to make but we played the yard games to kill time. Pizza was worth the wait, especially the Bombora. So delicious! read more

We enjoyed this very much. Wood fired pizza with good ingredients- real cheese, prosciutto, basil (which is growing in pots right there, so you know it's fresh). Reminded us of good pizza we had when we lived in Rome. It's actually a stationary food truck (with stacks of wood beside it). And lawn games (including giant Jenga) to keep us amused while we waited for our order. Only 4 parking spots on site though, so come early (we came at 3:30 pm and we were almost alone). Oh - and my wife is from New York and she said the pizza was excellent. read more

Goooodness gracious. We came over from Annapolis and ordered ahead-so glad we did. This place is amazing-truly. Some of the best pizza I have ever had-plentiful toppings, those lovely blister bubbles from intense wood fire ...nomnomnom. We played it safe and went with Americano and Pepperpony. Best pizza on the island (if you like wood fired pizza). We had the Launch Pad and the Prosciutto y Funghi. The later had a large amount of toppings compared to most specialty pizza establishments. read more

This is the kind of standalone pizza place I wish I had back home! Great service, and Absolutely fantastic pizza, just the right amount of food with the wonderfully thin crust! I had the Buffalo chicken pizza and it was delicious! Highly recommended to come here at least once if you're on Chincoteague Island, I'm sure we'll be back a few times before we leave! read more

Fabulous new addition to the food options on Chincoteague! We love vacationing on Chincoteague but have long bemoaned the fact that there were only a couple of places with decent good. Cosa Pizza opened this summer and is a fabulous addition. By far some of the best pizza we have had anywhere. Wood grilled crust with fresh ingredients. The roasted garlic and mushroom was incredible. Honestly better then any pizza we get at home - and we have some good pizza! I suspect they'll get busy quickly once word gets out but it's well worth the wait. read more

This place is amazing! My family decided to stop by one night for pizza and were blown away by the amazing and unique flavors of the pizza. The owners are a very sweet young couple that cook their pizzas in a fire oven right out of their food truck and there is outdoor seating to eat there or you can take your pies on the go (bring your bug-spray if you plan on sticking around or even better, carry out and head over to the nearby brewery and enjoy it there with a beer!). The owners are very kind and went out of their way to chat with us and make sure all the food turned out perfectly. The buffalo pizza was delicious and unique along with the pesto pizza special and the mushroom prosciutto. The margarita pizza was simple and delicious, best for those who aren't as eager to jump into adventure pizzas but there was also a large selection of unique pies for those of us looking for something extra special. I can't wait to visit again next time I'm on the island! read more

Some of the best pizza I've ever had. Matches the highest-quality pizza I've eaten in NY, NJ, DC, LA, Chicago, Philly, and elsewhere. I live in the DC area, and I can't think of one pizza joint that's better than Cosa Pizza. The Pepperpony pizza featured a chewy crust, spicy/crispy pepperoni, fresh tomato sauce, and delicious cheese. Outstanding. My wife's Lemon Song pizza featured lemon slices (yes), ricotta, prosciutto, and arugula. Light yet flavorful. My wife doesn't even like pizza in general, and she ate Lemon Song slices for dinner and breakfast. The service was friendly. The mask rules (no mask, no service) were on point during a pandemic. The wait was a bit long (35 minutes), but they offered to text us a few minutes before the pizzas were done in case we wanted to drive elsewhere and come back. There's also a nice (and socially distanced) outdoor seating area. Kudos to Cosa Pizza. Don't let the food truck fool you--this is five-star dining. read more

Cucumber kimchi cut thicker than what I usually have. It's a one man show, so expect to wait longer, especially when you see people waiting. We waited about 45 minutes for our order, with one person ahead of us . Highly recommended if you're craving Asian food.

The barbecue is great--smokey and tender meats, tangy-sweet sauce, fall-off-the-bone ribs. The sides are solid as well for the most part--crispy crunchy coleslaw, savory and sweet baked beans, satisfyingly creamy and crunchy corn nuggets, perfectly balanced sweet potato fries. However: I don't know if there's ever been a year when we got ALL the food we ordered. If you order for a group pretty much just expect you'll get about 80% of what you bought. You can't call or order online; you have to go say or present your order in person. If it's more than like two items the best way seems to be to write it down and hand over a list but that isn't a guarantee of anything. This year, we placed an order for six people including two platters--half rack of ribs and the half rack + half chicken combo. Guess what: no chicken in the bag. Also no cornbread, which was supposed to come with the platters. If this was a one-off that would be one thing. But I kid you not in 10 years I don't think we've ever received 100% of the food. It's really frustrating to drive over there, wait and then find out stuff is missing. I want to recommend Woody's based on the quality of the food. But: Don't trust that they'll get it right. Just expect that you should unpack the whole order when they hand it to you and check everything before driving away.
