This shop is really small but it offers delicious Taiyaki ice cream desserts, which are still rare to find in the Portland/Beaverton area. CosCakes is only open Thursday-Sunday, so we had to plan our visit ahead of time. When I finally made it there, I got to chat with the mom/daughter duo running the place and they told me the shop was a creation of the daughter's passion for everything about Japanese culture. Having a cosplay-dessert cafes in the US was the daughter's inspiration for opening CosCakes. When we were there, they both dressed as elves and I thought that was very endearing. We tried their soft serve ice cream favors and liked them all. Right now, they have cherry blossom, along with Hokkaido milk, pistachio, matcha and a regular milk flavor. They all tasted good, but our favorite was Matcha as it is rich and creamy. When you combined the hot taiyaki waffle with the ice cream, it's a match made in heaven. Overall, we liked this little shop and would like to support our local dreamer. If you are in the area, give it a try!

Nice interface for ordering. I ordered the mini trio sweet taiyaki. Red bean ube and custard. Very tasty. Also a cup of vanilla cotton candy soft serve. Highly recommend.

Love this place! Have been getting their taiyaki since before they had a brick and mortar and were on the farmers market scene. My favorite is the taiyaki with soft serve and Nutella at the bottom. Soooo yummy. Super friendly staff and cute place. Looks very Japanese with cherry blossoms and decor. Good place for a quick dessert and easy ordering from the screen menu.

Drove very far for this place! The owners are so kind and everything tasted so good! I'm obsessed with the Japanese cheesecake. Sooo good and a great price for it! We tried a little but of everything and it's super cute inside!

I am disappointed that this location doesn't take doing business seriously. I see multiple customers sitting in their cars and some standing in front of the shop waiting for it to open. It's supposed to be open but no one is here. One car left already. I've been here waiting along side them for about 15-20 mins.

Beautifully decorated, fun place with games and gachapon. Great for anime fans. Lovely service and loved all the food, especially the cheesecake chocolate chip cookie!

Lovely and clean interior design, very nice customer service. Delicious nutella taiyaki! My first time trying tanghulu. Their cheesecake is light and fluffy like chiffon. The latte beverages are refreshing, and the taiyaki soft serve ice cream cup is so good :)

If you like exotic flavors with that Hispanic flare, then this is the place. I was very happy to find out that my all-time favorite flavor Nuez (pecan) was one of those flavors. Very nutty and buttery as how I always expected this to be. A delightful treat to enjoy during these last hot days of summer but can still be enjoyable throughout the year. Eloté or corn is my 2nd best favorite along with Pistachio and Mint chip not too far behind. There are multiple friendly ladies behind the counter ready to help you and they have tons of other flavors. Just hard to pry myself off my current favorites. They also have other frozen treats as well as churros near the checkout counter. Parking is ample and it's easy to get in and out of the lot. You can even sit outside and enjoy your treat with a friend or family member. Overall I wished I had tried this much sooner but now that found a new place to enjoy a frozen treat, I will come more often.

Living in Beaverton, we don't have as many options as some closer to other parts of PDX but we stumbled upon Ome Calli yesterday and - we've gone twice in 2 days! The ice cream is unbelievable! Tastes just like homemade but with sooo many flavor options! So far, my favorites are the coconut and the mango, and my son loves the cotton candy. It's not been very crowded and the people working there have all been really nice. Please go check them out! Sooo yummy!

I wanted to try most of those flavors. Sadly, none of these were available when we visited. Instead, my husband, daughters, and I shared a flight with waffle cone: birthday cake and blackberries, huckleberry oat crisp with foraged porcini, salted malted chocolate chip cookie dough, and chocolate gooey brownie. Not quite as unique as the flavors mentioned above but these were still out of the ordinary and very delectable. My favorite is the huckleberry oat crisp with foraged porcini. My parents had the dairy-free strawberry and coconut water sorbet and hazelnut cookies and cream in a waffle bowl. My mom is usually indifferent to ice cream but she said this was exceptional. There are plenty of outdoor seating with a mini splash pad. It was crowded when we visited on a late Friday afternoon.

So many flavors of ice cream! How does anyone choose which flavor to get?…read more I had such a tough time trying to decide but finally settled on a waffle cone with Salty Caramel Truffle ice cream (salty caramel ice cream with chocolate truffles filed with salted caramel). The small (which is a "single scoop") was huge! Parking is plentiful, the store was clean and neat, the server a bit grumpy but maybe she just needed to take a break and get some ice cream. It was a beautiful spring day so we sat outside on a bench to eat our melty cones in the sun - a treat this time of year in the PNW. Can't wait to go back and try something else!

I was confused even just walking in. I was seeing an almost warehouse feeling space versus a cozy normal ice cream place where you can actually see any ice cream. Instead it's just a counter where very abrupt people in uniforms are asking you what you want. A bunch of other people are scooping ice cream from huge drums. Everything is setup like some insane Santa's workshop but it felt very cold - like get your sh*t and get out! I went in, desperately needing the restroom which was a lot to get to since it was through a crazy barrier, past a lingering family with a teenager determined to stand in every place I was trying to walk until her mom finally grabbed her and moved her for me. Then I turned the corner to discover an excessively long hallway, leading to 1 bathroom door at the very end of the very long, very very long hallway. I was so relieved to get back to take a photo of the ice cream flavor wall, really noting that though they've been here a long time, the space feels cold, uninviting and the people who work there don't help that. I really wanted to leave... I was annoyed discovering, I was at the wrong place, but honestly had that - even with you scooping in front of me, I feel like you're somehow spitting in it - it really felt that unfriendly up in there... but I imagine most people couldn't care less about me or my business. 3 people sort of 'helped' me and each was even less friendly than the last. I cannot imagine a reason to go back.
