We live up the hill and finally stopped in for boba. I got the basic milk tea, half sweet, with boba. The drink was, sadly, completely meh. It was very watered down and lacked any depth of flavor. So I've been searching for the perfect honey green tea since we moved. They make their own tapioca pearls so you know its better than store bought. There is a great variety of drinks. The sweet woman at the counter made sure we were ok with chicken liver pate on our grilled pork bahn mi. Bring it on. It was ready quickly. For $4 we had a somewhat small bahn mi with the perfect balance of meat, mayo, jalapeno, carrots, cucumber, and cilantro on a crusty roll. Win. It was yummy. It's good enough to make me crave it once in a while, but what brings me back here on a regular basis are two things: 1) Owners are great people and always take care of their customers. 2) KIMCHI STEAK CHEESE FRIES!!! This is a fine, usually pretty calm, hangout spot. Great place to catch up with an old friend over some Boba and a sandwich. The Bahn Mi are the best I've had anywhere: trust me and get everything on it, pate included. It can be a bit dirty at times, and the prices are higher than I would like, but the food is solid and the bubble tea is always perfectly prepared.
