    Cold Stone Creamery Tanasbourne.
    Cindy A.

Today was the first time in several years that I've visited Cold Stone Creamery. A friend of mine used to be crazy about this place so whenever we would find coupons in the Sunday paper for discount deals we would hurry in. There were several things I didn't like about this place so when my friend moved away I ceased visiting them. Today's visit, although slightly better, didn't change my previous opinion. The ice cream here is creamy with good flavor, but I really don't like it any better than the Haagen-Dazs I buy at the grocery store for less money. I've never liked the way they mix the ice cream on the stone slab. It looks very unhygenic, although I'm sure it's safe otherwise they wouldn't do this. I just don't like it. Customer service here varies. Today the lady at the counter was very nice. But there have been many times when it seems like the counter is staffed by the cheerleading squad from a high school. They would always show preferential treatment to their friends by giving them much larger servings than the rest of us. It was obvious and happened regularly. So maybe things have improved. Time will tell.

I understand there are unexpected issues that arise and change the plans that were initially set BUT when I place an order for a personalized cake to be picked up, I get there and the store is closed without any notice given to us, that's just not good customer service. Had a phone call been made to say that ya all had to close I would have totally understood and made other arrangements, but instead I show up to nothing and am left empty handed for a birthday party. A quick phone call would have given me so much more respect for the way you elect to do business. Pic of how I showed up to the birthday...

Over priced but you can get exactly what you want and that's pretty good.. only stopped in to try the new lucky charms ice cream and I was not disappointed... also my go too is the apple pie combo . Yumm

Coffee lovers: coffee ice cream, heath bar, caramel, almonds.

I'm giving them three points for consistent ice cream experiences and an extra for good customer service. We tried to access local ice cream in our hood only to find it closed, at 8pm on a Friday night. WTF?! Ok. Cold Stone then. We don't come here too much but tonight it filled a need. Hubby ordered coffee ice cream, caramel, m&ms. Happy. My coffee lovers delight (something like that) was coffee ice cream, heath bar chunks, almonds and caramel. Yum. Princess? She chose pink lemonade sorbet, chocolate chips, and sprinkles. She ate a few spoonfuls in silence, then pushed it away. She was not a fan, it made her cry. You want kids to be able to choose for themselves but when they make a crappy choice for $5 , then what do you do? I offered her some of mine but she refused saying she didn't want to take mine away because she messed up. I tossed out the offender and explaining what happened to the nice young man behind the counter, we ordered her a new one. Chocolate, butterfingers, kit cats. All known and loved. Princess was mollified. He was so nice and even seeing I had my money out he didn't charge me, saying don't worry about it. Totally sweet. And really understanding. That actually made our night.

    Handling ice cream without gloves

The workers were not wearing any gloves and handling ice cream after touching their hairs. NOT TO MENTION THAT WE FOUND HAIR IN OUR ICE CREAM. They did remake it for us but no apology was given or a refund. They looked at us as if they were annoyed. This is totally unsanitary. I have come here before but never have I've experienced this.

    Would you? I wouldn't!

Delicious ice cream. Fairly helpful people. Bathrooms really suck see pics. Nice air conditioning in the summer. I don't know why it won't let me add a pic sorry.

Thanks for not reading the cake ticket and spelling my sons name wrong
    Lorna E.

Prepaid last week, 32.95 for my sons birthday cake. Picked it up today for them to make it with his name wrong. The girl at the counter apologized, showed me the ticket and said, "she spelled her name wrong, it's written down here correct. It was whoever that made the cake just wrote it wrong." Like for real, why even have the slip if you're not going to read it?! Annoyed.

    I'm addicted!!

The banana flavor is just enough. It's not too overpowering. My partner's Orange Dream was also delicious! Orange Cream anything is my go-to! I'm not sure if they only make them on Saturday's or if Saturday is the day they have the most vegan options, but whatever. Anyways, I got there maybe 45 minutes before closing but they had already sold out. Disappointed I missed out, I headed a ways down the street near the QFC to see if the frozen yogurt shop I once went to there might have some non-dairy flavors. When I walked in to Cup & Cone I realized it was not a frozen yogurt shop anymore (I didn't remember the name of the old shop so I didn't realize it was gone). I was glad to see that there were some vegan flavors available, though. Nothing took my fancy (the person working said the chocolate frosting flavor was more dark and less sweet, so not my style) until I saw the vegan soft serve option on one of the signs! Vegan soft serve is non-existent outside of Portland, or so I thought. I now know where I will be going on hot days when I would kill for a cone. The ice cream is delicious and unique from a previous version of vegan soft serve I've had (RIP Food Fight soft serve, I will always miss you). A vegan soft serve cone here will cost you $6 (or I think $7.50 if you also need a vegan cone) but it's so worth it even just as an occasional treat. You also do get a lot of ice cream I would say. I made the mistake of asking for a regular cone thinking I would get a free sugar cone, but I just got a regular waffle cone. I realized afterwards that they probably don't even serve them in sugar cones because of how much ice cream you get, since sugar cones are pretty small. I know next time to just pay extra for a vegan waffle cone. You also can choose from vanilla, chocolate or swirl (I went for the swirl). I will definitely go back as much as possible! Would be cool in the future to see them get creative with the flavors maybe, and switch them out for a week or so. Please go try the vegan soft serve now, even if you're not vegan! I don't think you could possibly regret it. I was even shocked and almost sure that somehow the flavors weren't vegan, because they tasted even better than regular soft serve ala DQ or McD's. Run don't walk!

Amazing Thai Food, and service. Highly recommended…read more This place has been a regular go-to for at least once a month for my boyfriend and I. We like to order takeout from this place mostly, but on occasions we choose to dine in to further enjoy the scenery of the place. I am Thai myself so this place does a pretty decent job at making me feel like I'm at home again every time I order their food from here or if I show up to eat at the place. The most recent time I ate from them was February 8th, actually, at 3:00pm a little bit after a rush hour or when it was about to end, so I feel like maybe I ordered at a good time. Still, I had a good experience and a nostalgic feeling with every bite that went down. Their menu is pretty well designed, easy to read, well-laid out and self explanatory. The people always greet you kindly and make you feel welcomed which I think is pretty cool too. The pricing is very much debatable. When I say that, I mean that the price number may shock you while you're reading the menu, but that is until you start eating your dish that you ordered and thought it was "expensive" you realize you almost always need to loosen up your pants after we're done eating like my boyfriend, or you need to bother the waitress for a big to go box after already eating the best you could. Almost every single time, that has happened to us and we laugh about it every single time. We usually order the Sweet Sausage Fried Rice and Pad See Ew with chicken. My boyfriend is a big fan of the sweet sausage fried rice, he is a big fried rice lover already and has had sweet sausage before but never together in fried rice so this menu intrigued him the first time he read the menu and saw it as an option. After he tried it, he never stopped going back for more. I, on the other hand like their Pad See Ew much more because I grew up with homemade fried rice a lot so making it myself wasn't a big deal, but stir fried noodles that was something my family would always go out of their way to dine at or order take out from and they would try to top one another which restaurant they thought was better and why (e.g. more meat, more noodles, looks prettier, worth the money more, it's an award-winning, michelin star winning, franchised by this celebrity from this movie, etc.. you name it) so finding good stir fried flat rice noodles was a hit and miss for my family so eating really good stir fried noodles that I found in the US near the comfort of my home really made me feel good. Their service was exceptional, really. Online and in store, really good. When we were dining in at one point, my boyfriend who is a picky eater due to sensory issues, wanted no onions, tomatoes, and some other things in his fried rice I can't remember too sure. But, I tried speaking Thai to the waitress since her appearance seems to be Thai as well, and sure enough she was Thai too and she was really sweet and helped accommodate me and my boyfriend to suit our preferences the entire time. We also tried ordering Pink Milk too which is a childhood refreshing summer drink of mine which really just consists of Ice, Milk, and Hale Blue Boy Red Syrup but it tastes sweet and smells like strawberry and hits the spot really well on a hot day, and that's exactly what it tasted like. We both loved the drink, we almost wanted to order another one, actually. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to try new foods, is interested in asian, southeast asian cuisine, or even just seafood and other food combinations with it. No need for studying the culture or menu, the people are very welcome to people who don't know anything about Thailand or Thai food at all. I recommend showing up at happy hours too, if you can. They have good deals and discounts on food and all kinds of beverages. Definitely worth the money, can seem like a little bit up there if it's your first time or you just don't eat there too often. Very flexible with accommodations in person and especially, also upfront about additional charges for additions to your menu item. An experience worth paying for from time to time, in my opinion.
