Produce, vegetables or the like. Not sure who is in charge on this department but it needs attention at this store. I am not happy with the fruits you provide or the vegetables. Apples are always bad. Vegetables are a 50/50. Everything I look at in this section looks bad so I will go to Sprouts for my fresh food until you flip my fruits at this store. Every time I have gone in here the people are rude. Today was the nail in the coffin. I forgot my wallet, went to the car to retrieve it and wasn't gone 2 minutes. I get back in and they had shoved my cart to the side unattended. When I went to pay they directed me to customer service. The person there ignored me until I removed my phone and started recording. This will be the final time here. My money's spends better with Hy-Vee. read more

I love the store in Kearney, however I thought that there was a designated time (7:00 - 8:00 a.m.) for the Senior Citizens and people with compromised health problems to have a chance to do their shopping? What I saw was a younger crowd not giving space, most not wearing masks or gloves and with several coughing and not covering their mouths. Love our new store. As do people from other towns. I see them shopping up here a lot. The store is always clean. Fully stocked, and if you can't find something, they are more than glad to get it for you! The employees are friendly, as are the other shoppers. It's just a delight to go. As a business owner myself, I moved to Kearney to be closer to my children. As a new resident, I was not expecting the local price chopper to be the most ill-tempered grocery store I've ever been too. From the moment I stepped foot in the door I've felt unwelcome; they've been rude, don't bag half of the groceries, and when they do the smash the produce anyways. If you attempt to ask any other question they look at you like you're from another planet and barely ask you to clarify, let alone help you. I would NEVER treat someone within my business like the employees do here, as they clearly lack any sense of customer service. I cannot believe they'd rather delete reviews than deal with these issues, it's so bad that other Price Choppers outside of the city (Liberty, Excelsior Springs, etc) have had complaints from residents because they would rather make the drive than come back to this one! It seems as if all respect has been lost, and the town knows it, and if not they will soon enough. read more

The store is great. Always has great values and lots of checkers in the checkout line. I'm able to get in and out of here in a very quick manner even during rush hour. Reason for my review is some 'asshat' (sorry that is what he called the mgr and an old man) named Pat was from out of town and would not take the free discount card the manager was trying to give him. He wanted to use a different store's discount card. He did not even need to fill out the forms just needed to use the discount card and move on, but was upset that he needed the discount card to get the sale items from the store. The manager was even kind enough to go ahead and give him the discount and he was still upset and cursed out the management of the store. Caused quite a scene. I love shopping at Price Chopper. I live in the Liberty area and rarely have any reason to go up to Kearney, but last night I happened to be in the area and needed to pick up a few things. The Kearney Price Chopper has only been open since November 2014, so they are still brand new. I was incredibly impressed! The store is huge, bright, and clean, and very well-organized. Each employee we came across was very friendly. I was able to find everything I was looking for, and as I've come to expect from Price Chopper, they even had a healthy/organic section. Wonderful! You can bet that if I ever need to make a stop while I'm up north again, I'll be headed into this Price Chopper. read more

This price chopper is ok. I have been shopping at our local stores in Kearney since we moved here in 2008. A little pricey so I prefer to go to Walmart when I can. The store is always clean though and have never had any problems with the staff being rude. read more

The store is great...clean, well stocked, well lit, and wide aisles. The music they blast over the speakers leaves a lot to be desired. I do not care to hear rock music blasting early on a Sunday morning. The older staff is much friendlier than most of the young folks. read more

This is country mart too, the produce section is just down right disappointing wilted veggies workers with bad attitudes. It's ok for quick pick items if you want a better place go to liberty. Soup n salad bar is over priced big time. Soup is from a can and a 1 qt soup is 7 dollars. Canned soup is cheaper and same thing. We hope this changes nice to have a good store in town with high standards meat section is not even worth mentioning. read more

Ok...so I love this price chopper....what I don't love is the grill at breakfast. It took 40 minutes to get an omelette!! This is the 3rd and last chance they get from me. Also, their coffee is colored water. Don't stop at the grill if u are in a hurry. read more

The store is an asset to our community. It has beautiful produce, is clean, staff very helpful and professional. One time I called the deli and asked if they had fried fish that day. They said they didn't have any fresh, but would be glad to make some. In the time it took me to get there, it was ready! Talk about accommodating! I don't know if they can do that all the time, but they were very interested in trying to make every effort to accommodate the customer's request. Excellent place to go shopping! read more

I've just learned more about Price Chopper than I ever cared to know. First let's start with the good stuff. They had a fresh kitchen/deli area and the food prepared there was good. They also had great pricing on some Claussen pickles I was buying. My problem with this store stems from ownership/management. I'm from out of town so I didn't have a shopper discount card. I travel around the country for work and whenever I mention this at a grocery store they accept this reasoning and swipe a guest card. I was informed by management that Cosentino' Price Chopper stores do not allow visitors to get the discount pricing but that a store nearby is a McKeever's Price Chopper and they don't have that policy. Eventually the manager did give me a one time exemption and allowed me the discount pricing. It ended up working out for me but I would avoid Cosentino locations and stick with McKeever locations. I've bought alcohol here at least 10 times and EVERY SINGLE time I have gotten harassed about what I'm buying from the cashier. They say I look like I'm 15, I shouldn't be drinking it, ask if I'm going to be driving after I drink it and make me feel like a horrible person. JUST DO YOUR JOB AND RING ME UP. I don't need your commentary about what I'm buying. The only thing they should be concerned about is asking how my day is or if I have my flipping price chopper card. I'm almost 24 years old and I shouldn't feel like I'll be scrutinized anytime I feel like I want to purchase alcohol. Be professional. read more
