Really enjoyed our visit here. Service was good and everything was solid overall. Would definitely come back and recommend it to others.

While the food is really good, it can be a bit pricey, which is generally fine if you're not expecting to go here every day. (Especially in this economy) While ordering online, be aware that the time it says on the ordering portal/site is not generally accurate. I, on multiple occasions, have ordered something with a specific pick up time selected (I left plenty of time, thirty minutes from when I ordered to when I wanted to pick it up) and the food still was not ready. Ex: ordered at 11:30 am, pick up time of 11:55-12:00, food was ready closer to 12:10 and I received the 'your food is ready text' at 12:45 pm. While this isn't a bad thing if you have time, if you're on a tight lunch schedule I'd look otherwise. This location is also a bit smaller than their Parkville location, so if it's crowded it's very noticeable and can get a little overwhelming. I do prefer the Platte City location to Parkville though, as their Parkville location doesn't do that good of a job when I order online (this may just be me but I have to take it into consideration). Overall, I do recommend it, just be aware that it is pricey, when packed it can get a little overwhelming, and be aware of how long you have to eat. read more

I recently had breakfast here for the first time, although I usually come for lunch or dinner. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive. I love the various options on their menu. They serve a variety of deli meats and cheeses, available to go as well as on sandwiches. The wall of chips is impressive too! I ordered a toasted plain bagel, perfectly golden, along with a white chocolate macadamia nut hot drink. The bagel was incredibly fresh, with a warm, slightly chewy texture reminiscent of homemade bread. My drink was made with half the usual sweetness, using creamy oat milk, and had a rich, balanced flavor that was very satisfying. Next time I'll plan to get a cinnamon roll - those are huge and look delicious!! I plan to add this place to my coffee-and-breakfast routine. read more

I really want to love Fettermans but mixed reviews from my POV. Platte City is growing fast with some exciting new development, so I was hopeful this deli would be a great spot to relax and enjoy a good meal. The food itself was pretty decent, but the overall experience left a lot to be desired. The service was extremely slow (nice people just their processes are slow, maybe new employees who need more oversight and training), and the business needs more of a "clear system or staffing plan" kind of way. The interior space was cluttered, unclean, and generally disorganized. The ambience was more reminiscent of an older 1980's mall vibe vs. an updated local eatery where you'd want to spend time with friends. The outdoor patio seating could be a major plus, but unfortunately, the patio was dirty and uninviting! Definitely a missed opportunity, especially given the nice weather. With a deep clean, a service revamp, and a clearer vision for the aesthetic and flow, Fettermans could really shine. I'd love to see it become the kind of neighborhood spot Platte City deserves ...comfortable, efficient, and welcoming. read more

This will definitely be my sandwich go-to when I'm in Platte City. They cut the Boars meat fresh and the ingredients they use are high quality. I ordered a ham and Swiss on a French roll and it was great. Everything tasted good and fresh. My wife ordered the Butcher's block on the bread and she loves it. Woke up this morning and stumbled to my PC to check some messages, when through un-caffeinated pupils a blurry picture appeared to my eyes. It was a picture of a very large sandwich, and upon further investigation I see that it is from a new place up in Platte City! A place called fetterman's Deli opened about a month ago and since I just saw it this morning, my place of lunch has been decided! Now when I go to a deli for the first time, if they offer it, I like to order a Reuben. They offer this sammy in two sizes, regular and large, (it was the large that I saw this morning) and not having an empty leg, I went with the regular. In a few minutes they brought me out a steaming hot, ooey, gooey, messy, cheesy, sandwich. Between two pieces of marble rye, they lay down a pile of corned beef, smother that with some sauerkraut and thousand island and cover it all with some Swiss! In a single bite you get all the delicious flavors of the distinctive rye, the savory corned beef, along with the sour bit of the kraut and the sweetness of the thousand island with the creaminess of the Swiss. This place is not near where we live, BUT its close to the airport and I travel almost every week. I love being able to order a sandwich when I land, grab my vehicle and pick up my sandwich. We are gluten free and they have wonderful options, Boar's head meat is by far the superior meat in the deli industry. You can add all the toppings and have the sandwich heated. It's very close to Northeast (NY/NJ) style sandwiches. Their online platform is a bit clunky but once you use it once or twice you have it down. In store, very easy to order, they have different pops you can grab and kombucha you can put into a cup. They do not short you on toppings on the sandwich, they are beautifully messy and flavorful. I love the flavors when I bite into the sandwiches. We usually go with the turkey and the Italian. You can add chips/pickles to your order and its a big crisp pickle and yummy chips. The only thing I have not been able to figure out with online ordering, is how to get my points so I am out of a free sandwich I think since I don't get those points (rewards system). Parking is easy, they share a space in a small strip mall. read more

Everything here is so good. They have hoagies,low carb and regular wraps,sides in the cold case,chips,soups,and even Betty Rae's ice cream for dessert!! They will make salads and low carb wraps if you're doing low carb so you still have options. They have great breakfast options also and a great to go case if you're in a hurry and want to grab something for breakfast or lunch to take with you. One word to describe this new deli...delicious! Upon checking in and looking at the menu, I asked the cashier what they were "known for", his response? The Reuben, let me tell you, I am a huge Reuben fan (and I like the Rachel too where available, but Fetterman's doesn't serve it on this menu). They did not disappoint, however you can't go wrong when you use Boar's Head meat and condiments. They also had a large selection of Zapp's potato chips. I didn't get around to trying anything from the grab and go shelf, but all of the salads looked delicious. And let's be honest, any place that serves Messenger Coffee probably has a good breakfast selection too. Came from the golf course and wanted to grab a light and quick lunch. Yelp led us to Fetterman's. He got the Ruben and I got the Beef & Cheddar on a low carb warp. Both are items on their signature menu. We snacked on his salt and vinegar chips. They had two racks of all kind of chips to choose from. As we waited for our sandwiches, we peeked at the freezer case of ice cream options and the cool case that had sodas, already made salads and other beverages. My half wrap was 5.99 and his regular size ruben was 12.99. His Ruben was on toasted rye with a great ration of all the ingredients. He also enjoyed his Northern brand cream soda in a can. I'm not a Ruben fan but it was really good! He inquired about the larger Ruben from a really nice and helpful man, he said it would be twice the ingredients (for 17.99!). My wrap was warm as well with added peppercinos, lettuce and tomato. I would have liked a little more beef and horseradish sauce. Overall a good meal and others seem to be catching on as they were busy as we ate. read more

Our family went for dinner and it was so good. The staff was very welcoming and gave us a lot of recommendations. We got the lil pookie for the kids, a hot pastrami and Reuben. We all enjoyed our food. My kids ate up all their sandwich, which is impressive. We also liked the variety of local Missouri items found at Fetterman's. This place is great! Scott is the owner and he's very friendly as is his entire staff. If you love Ruebens, you will love this one! They are so good! All meats and cheeses are sliced to order right in front of you! Very clean and organized lobby. I've been here at least a half a dozen times and the food has never disappointed! I've had the Rueben, the Club and the Kickin' Chicken! All 3 are fantastic and you have the option for hot or cold sandwiches. You won't regret this place. Sooooo excited to have Boar's Head closer to home. Not surprisingly there is no Boar's Head in St. Joe. We went for the first time on Saturday 6/17, just heard about the place. You can't help but have a good sandwich when you have top notch quality products. Not as cheap as other sandwiches you can get, but the others will not be nearly as good. I had the roast beef and bought some to take home as well. I also liked that they have free samples of their side salads and dessert so you can try before you buy a whole package. My only complaint is that the old guy working the cash register was sooooo slow and the kid slicing the meat was even slower I think. You need an infinite amount of patience if they are working. read more
