Came in for a regular pedi on a Thursday (no gel) - called ahead to reserve a time slot and only had to wait 10 min in the footbath before they were ready to go. Cosmo has quick, efficient, kind folks. Lots of people chatting, chill vibe. Clean salon with great prices. read more

Owner Tien and Nail Tech Gina went out of their way to make me feel comfortable allowing me to enjoy my mani-pedi. Upon arrival I spent way too much time choosing the perfect color and still got it wrong! Tien and Nail Tech Lynn(?) looked for and found the perfect color for me. When I nicked & damaged the color on one of my toes Gina never slowed down or frowned, she immediately settled me back in the chair and repaired it .... no muss, no fuss. I suspect Tien sensed my unease so he sat and had a very nice conversation with me totally making me feel at home. Sadly I'm only in the area every couple of months otherwise I'd be one of their many regular clients. The price was more than reasonable, the atmosphere was welcoming, the other patrons seemed to be well at ease with my presence (I'll explain that in a minute), all in all it was an excellent visit to an excellent nail salon!! Now a little back story .... I may look, dress, and act like an ugly old guy 99% of the time but that's not how I feel inside. Inside I'm just your average (if not older) woman trying to enjoy life without bothering others. I love getting pedicures and occasionally have gotten color too, but this time I went all out and got a mani-pedi WITH color on my toes AND my hands!! What a treat!! One of the other treats was having Tien address me with my chosen name of Michelle, however given the way I was dressed I said my boring and ugly guy name may be more appropriate. The technicians always go to great lengths to see that everything feels good and looks nice. Unbelievably poor, rude, unkind, and painful service by "Lynn". She didn't have any empathy for my disability. She was really rough and did a really poor job. A complete waste. I left halfway thru, paid, and left, knowing I would never return. She had no interest in doing a good job, or respect for her work or clients and absolutely ignored and wouldn't listen to my requests to take products off my skin (scrub), as I can get a rash. I took my mom here before her birthday trip to California to treat her to a mani pedi and they told us that we only booked two pedis (when we booked both services) and then said we can only to the pedis. My mom wanted the luxury pedicure to celebrate and they said "no, we don't have time for that only the basic." And rushed through both pedicures in about 20 minutes. I decided to go here to get dip powder nails. NEVER AGAIN. I feel like if I am going to pay $50 to get my nails done they should actually look nice. That was not the case here. Let me run you through each of my reasons as to why I will never be going back to Cosmo Nails, and why you should never bring your business here. The woman who did my nails cut my cuticles to the point where they were bleeding. I know it is possible to avoid this because in my other nail salon experiences that does not often happen. She asked me if I wanted round or square nails, I said round but I still somehow ended up with square. She did not buff them down much at all and now I have fat gross square nails. 10/10 do not recommend. read more

I've been to other nail salons around the area and keep coming back to Cosmo. It has a vibe of its own, which might not appeal to other clients used to more posh environments. I like the ambiance and I like the staff; they're always very detailed in their work. I usually get a gel manicure, and everywhere else the polish starts to come off after the 2nd week. When I get them done here, I've been able to go for almost 6 weeks with my manicure intact (of course at that point my nails have quite grown a bit). I'm not sure why I'm seeing so many negative reviews, but so far, this is the best place I've found. The only inconvenience is that, although you can pay with card, you can only tip with cash or check, and I'm not a cash person. I always forget and have to go running to the closest ATM to leave a tip. Other than that, I recommend it. read more

Cosmo has no idea how to do SNS dipping. They put a gel topcoat over the dip and it peeled off within 24 hours. I was there 3 times in a week to get nail fixed and gave up. Had to pay another salon to redo. read more

Very unwelcoming. My sister and I went for mani/pedis to celebrate my birthday and she left with sore feet., and I left disappointed with the worst "manicure"ever. The manicure consisted of a two minute soak in a tiny plastic bowl filled with water and dial foamy hand soap. The nail polish was left uneven and full of air bubbles. I didn't want my sister to feel bad because she was treating me for a gift so I returned the next day and the lady gave me a lecture about how they don't guarantee that the polish will stay past one day... Umm really? I showed her the bubbles in the polish and she said that unless I use gel that can happen. The flower that she painted on was not a flower, but dots. I got a full set of acrylics. My technician was nice and friendly and constantly checked to make sure my nails looked as i had envisioned they would. Good prices for what you get. The only negative point about this salon was the atmosphere: it was a little dark. You get what you pay for. A good budget salon for a decent set of nails.
