I walked in with no appointment and requested a manicure with acrylic tips. They showed me to my spot and made sure I had the correct nail book for my selections. I never felt rushed, it was a quieter experience but that is what I prefer! I had a good experience. I was in the area last Saturday for my waxing appt. and this place was nearby, so I came right after my appointment which was around 5:10pm when they were closing at 6pm. I needed a regular mani and gel pedi. The lady that I got, started with pedicure, finishing right around 6pm. So, when everyone started to leave, the place was officially closed and her husband came to pick her up, - I thought I won't get my manicure done today, but she sent him to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription or something, and then wait for her in the car, while she stayed another 35+ min with me finishing my manicure. 48 hours later - see it for yourself :) I'm grateful and happy with the result! read more

This place is pretty much brand new. I didn't know what time they were open on Sundays, and honestly still don't (no hours posted) but I just showed up and took my chances. I have visited my fair share of nail places and this place was by far the nicest, probably because it is brand new but even so it is very nice. They have 6 pedicure chairs and probably 6 or more manicure stations. Everyone working there was really nice and accommodating. I had a pedicure and it was one of the best I have ever had. They actually take their time and give everyone lengthy foot massages too. I made note to watch how long they each spent with each client and it was all the same. Their massage chairs are great and the best part... $25! I will definitely be going back! Also- please note that my feet were super gross before having the pedicure and she took extra time to make sure they were as smooth as possible before I left. I was in need of a new regular nail technician and tried them 3 times. I found a very experienced tech and was happy with her work. But on the 1st visit she changed the quoted price at the end. I wrote it off as a mistake. The 2nd time I made an appt as I always do because I am busy and need to stay on task. I arrived and had to wait 20 min because they shoved someone in front of me that did not have an appt. My 3rd visit was my last. The tech I liked has since left and so I asked for the owner ( most experienced) she took over an hour; completely over worked my nails and they turned out horribly. I went to Spa & Nails at 1814 E 66th St in Richfield today. I didn't have an appointment and instantly got in for a pedicure. A short time later, two black women walked in and asked for pedicures. Staff told them they were booked all day, and turned them away. No more than 15 minutes later, a white woman came in and asked for a pedicure. She said she didn't have an appointment, but was seated immediately. I'll never go back. I hope this bothers other customers enough to take their business elsewhere, too. read more

I went here a couple times and was unimpressed. The paint job isn't great and Linda never paints to the edges of my nails. Got a pink and white set once and the white was completely uneven and crooked nails every time. I had a pedicure with someone else and they took a cuticle nipper and ripped off the old polish off of each toe which was extremely uncomfortable. Their pricing for the crap work is upsetting. I am very unhappy with the experience I had at Spa & Nails, one of my worst nail salon experiences ever. It's safe to say I will not be going back, not even to have my nails fixed. I was looking for a new salon to try and thought I would give them a chance, so I went in for a gel manicure. My nail technician was very rude from the start, rushing me to pick a color and through the manicure itself. She barely groomed my nails, and painted them sloppily, getting the gel polish on all of my cuticles. When it came time to pay I used my card, she insisted I tip with cash (although no where did it state they only accepted cash tips and there was a place for tip on the receipt). She was clearly upset when I put the tip on my card. Terrible customer service. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

My sister and i made and appointment to get manicures together. When we got there, half the lights were off and since it was Chinese New Year, there was only one man working. We sat down in the semi-dark, silent salon (no music or TV). He alternated between Sister and me, giving us each less than half of his attention. She ended up with bloody cuticles and I had polish all over my fingers. I shouldn't have been surprised that we were charged full price for half-ass manicures. I'm not minimizing the importance of the Chinese New Year, but if you're not going to close your store for the holiday, at least make sure it's fully staffed! read more

This was my 4th visit here. The staff is constantly speaking another language, when I asked what they were talking about no one replied. The only language my esthetician knew was $70, she didn't speak any English at all while I was there making communication with her very difficult. I said I didn't want my nails filed, but she tried any way. She cut my toenails way too short and they look really weird with polish on them and didn't polish them all the way to the cuticle. Took my teen daughter for her first pedicure and she loved it. It was $25 for me and only $20 for her. We just walked in and got put into the comfy massaging chairs right away. Everything was new and the staff was all very nice. The only thing I would recommend is to put on some background music. There were five of us in there and it was so quiet that it felt wrong to talk to each other. Other reviewer was correct that they took my cc for payment but they prefer cash for the tip. I've been happily coming here for years. There are times I'm in a hurry and want an express pedicure. I've traveled and gotten pedicures a lot and this is what I ask for when I want just my toes done. This place is no exception. I walked in tonight and asked for one and was told ok , choose a color (I do gel), and sit at chair 2. The kid started on my toes and as soon as he starts scrubbing my feet I tell him to stop because I only want my toes done. He asked "no massage"? and the owner (I think) says something to him I can't understand and he just does my gel Polish. He finished and I go to pay and it's $57! I asked why to just have my toes done is it that much and the woman proceeded to explain to me there's a $15 charge for gel. But I didn't have an actual pedicure! She told me next time I have to ask for just a polish change. I asked why I was paying for services I hadn't received and she and she spewed the exact same comment. So I payed for an actual basic pedicure at this place just to have my "polish changed" because I asked for the wrong thing. Oh! And there's no menu on the wall with prices telling you what to ask for. I'm more frustrated that I was upset and didn't tip the kid and walked out after paying due services never received. My "manicure" was me sitting soaking my nails, then tech rushing through getting old polish off, quick file and then shoved to the pedicure chair. That's when the real joke happened. The young tech working there obviously hates his job. Not only was it the worst pedicure it was down right awkward. I will never be returning and suggest you go anywhere else if you are needing a mani/pedi or even just a pleasant experience cause you won't find anything here. read more

I love this nail salon. I've been coming here regularly for over 2 years. The gel mani is a great price, and they do a wonderful job. I've always been very happy with their customer service, they have remembered my name since my first visit. I almost already go with the younger woman (Jess) simply b/c I like her and we chat almost the entire time. They have a good color selection, and they never rush me like some other nail places I used to go, where you were simply a dollar sign and are rushed through as fast as possible, even if that means a crap mani with bubbles and streaks. I went to this new business when it opened a few years ago and I was pleasantly surprised. I went maybe 3 times and just happened to get the same person each time, and she was really great. I was very excited to have a place to go, not 5 minutes from my house. However the story changes, I have gone maybe 4 times since then and I have TRULY not enjoyed the experience. A pedicure or a manicure should be relaxing and it was anything but that. I happened to get the two men who work there the last few times and they are awful. They pinch your toes, cut your cuticles so they bleed, when they scrub they don't just scrub your feet but your leg by accident and give you a burn, and even if you say something or they see they cut you they NEVER apologize. Neither really seem to care if they give you a good experience, all they want is a job and make some tips. If you are thinking of going, I could suggest you hope for one of the women who work there as they are good, but if you get one of the men, skip it. read more

This place is horrible. I tried to give them a chance for 4 visits. My nails cracked horizontally within 24 hours each time (different fingers), twice cracking my natural nail in the quick. They argued and groaned the first time to redo at no charge, after that they would not. My third visit I thought I'd try a pedicure, now I have a fungus on 2 toenails each foot. I had hoped if I requested a certain person it would get better. It did not! I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place! I will never go back. I finally found a great nail salon, thank goodness! read more

I use to go a lot when they first opened. The people that originally worked were always so nice and welcoming every time. Just recently I stopped going. Today I stopped by and to my surprise there were three new faces. Long story short this particular lady did a horrible job. She put one of the acrylic nails at a weird angle. I asked her three different times to fix my nail. All she did was file one side ( the side that did not need to be fixed). I asked if she could remove it and she refused. So I basically had to deal with it. Towards the end I had accidentally smudged my nail polish. She ignored the fact that I asked if she can fix it. Out of no where one of the ladies yelled out that's why i should of gotten gel nails. I don't think I'll be returning any time soon read more

I called ahead to make sure they had a chair open and they said they did. I got there and they were quite rude about picking a color, and they were all giving manicures already even though they said they were free. I picked two colors and asked the lady for a polish change instead of a manicure as I didn't have a ton of extra time right then. She said, "Fine." And tossed a bowl of freezing cold water on the table for me to stick my hands in then walked away for a good 5 minutes. She came back and started without saying a word or even glancing at me. When she was about halfway done a woman walked into the salon and my manicurist grins at her and says, "Hello _____! I'm so sorry we're running behind today! I'll be with you in a couple minutes!" I realized that she was being so fast and rude because they were overbooked. Anyway she finished without ever saying a word to me, she threw the receipt and pen at me and walked away to the next client. As far as the gel manicure quality goes it wasn't the worst one I've had although she missed a couple spots with the second coat (or perhaps her hand wiped a couple spots away as she grabbed wildly at every tool she used). She also filed a couple of my nails unevenly and completely missed the corner of my thumb nail with the top coat. Needless to say I will not be returning here. read more
