Came for a Sunday lunch and got the steak nachos, metro burger, and western bbq burger. The burgers and fries were solid, nothing special but good enough for a sports bar. The nachos though, the texture was like stale chips straight from a bag. Not to mention they're made with the bright yellow "cheese" sauce you'd find at a movie theater or baseball game. For $19+tax, I'd expect more. Points for decently sized portions and they were generous with guac and friendly service. Hopped in for lunch, after meaning to go there for a while. Why did I wait so long? What an amazing little place. Probably the best onion rings I have ever had in my entire life. I went to the Sunday 2000s Brunch The food and atmosphere was great, but our day started off on a rude note. We saw the brunch advertised online and had friends who had gone previously recommend it. Both mentioned the option of menu or buffet, first floor or second floor and we liked the options!When we got to the front at 11:30 there was no one at the front desk. We wandered in until we found a bus boy who said he'd find the hostess.She came out, texting, rolling her eyes and huffing at us that we didn't have a reservation. She then informed us it was a cover to get in, in addition to paying for food and drinks, and that only the menu and first floor were available. We mentioned we hadn't seen anything about a cover charge online, but were fine and asked how much it was. She slapped down a Venmo QR code and went back to texting. We decided to pay cash, which was met with more eye rolling. She then lead us to the table at the absolute back, closest to the bathrooms and kitchen, furthest from the DJ. We asked if we could be moved to one of the closer tables and she said 'those are for people who made reservations.' The tables sat empty until 12:45. Theres only a few places to grab a bite and this is a great option as it has a good variety of appetizers, entrees and on tap selection is spot on. There is two floors -down stairs offers lots of tvs for sports, live music. Did not visit upstairs I did see on the weekly specials they have pool and darts. However, today I came in and they served me a veggie burger with vegetables in it. I was very disappointed because the menu advertises a beyond burger, and I have also been to this establishment several times. Both lady servers tonight insisted they have never served beyond burgers even though their menu states it, and I have come in before. We came to a fundraiser here today and I have to say, I'm really impressed!! My girlfriends and I are already planning to come back for dinner soon! The room we were in was really nice, not sure if it was the top floor but I think it was. It's not overly decorated, but it's not super sparse. It was a nice atmosphere and a great place for a party! Everything was well organized. The waitstaff was so on it, that I complimented them throughout the event. Normally I would wait until the end, but I was just really impressed with them. Sal in particular was really helpful. There was a spill on the registration table and he was quick to get that taken care of! Once the food was served, it did come out in spurts, but it was a large event and probably to be expected to some extent. That said, everyone enjoyed their meals which is a big reason we plan to go back! Plus the fact that they support local charities makes me want to support them too. This place is something else. My old lady and I were walking around last night in Pomona, killing time before heading to the Glasshouse. Saw this spot nearby, w/ a decent selection of beers on tap, so we decided to head on in. ID's were checked and I was patted down, and we walked inside. It was pretty dead, a Saturday night close to 10p. There was no one that appeared to be working, so after standing aimlessly for a moment we decided to sit down and wait for someone to come over. We waited. And waited. A woman passed us by and went straight to the kitchen area (maybe?) and came back out, passing us again, and never greeted us. Finally I went to the bar, and a bartender (maybe?) was behind the counter. I asked him for a beer menu and I went back to our table. Headed back up to the bar with our drink orders and lo and behold, no bartender! Getting ready to just leave until the same woman from earlier that kept passing us, came behind the bar and offered to take my order. Got 2 beers, and they were poured in plastic cups, like the ones you get when you go to a damn music festival. I hand the woman the card (she was wearing a flannel shirt, jeans and slightly on the heavier side) and she returns it to me by placing it on the table. Ugh, man. That really annoys me. If I hand you the card, I expect to have the card handed back to me - don't place it on the damn table like loose change, Jesus.
