Yeah had a good time. Came for the first time with my cousin and husband. The atmosphere was nice. Good food and they have sports and fights. Plus the place is huge!!! Drinks are good, could be stronger though. Service was attentive. Solid. My husband said he wants to come back and chill. There's a lot of guys there too FYI. If If you're ever in the mood for a drink, great food, and top-notch people-watching, this is the place. I don't gamble, but it's there if you're into it and honestly I love just watching people place bets and get so excited. The highlight was seeing a group of guys go wild over corgi dog races, cutest race ever! Service can be a bit slow at times, but everyone is genuinely nice. What a place!! If you like sports, horses, and great food, get in here pronto. We met friends here for horses and had a ton of fun. It's a lively vibe and good to go. We had a shrimp appetizer platter, cold cut charcuterie board, ago poke tuna bowl, and a prime rib dip. All were amazing. Zero negatives about the food choices. Derby Room, Turf Club & Grill has a really cool setup and a unique location, especially with the horse racing and betting atmosphere -- definitely something different and interesting. I was here attending a car show and decided to grab some food while I was on site. Unfortunately, the food was good But food service were a big disappointment. The wait time was extremely long, and the overall cooking service just wasn't there. The food lacked care and attention, and for the price and location, I expected much better quality and execution. This place has a lot of potential because the venue itself is very cool, but the kitchen and service really need improvement. I came in hungry and left frustrated. Ive been here for their prime rib special but its always been delicious! Unfortunately this time was really BAD!! The first bite of my prime rib had an old meat smell and taste! I thought I was the only one but find out that my other 2 friends tasted it too! I told our waitress Taylor and she said she would tell the cook! We were very disappointed with this meal! I barely took 2 bites and couldn't eat anymore! I really hope no one gets sick from the bad meat. Again, I have always had a great Prime rib dinner here except for tonite! The other day, my best friend and I were looking for a spot to grab a drink after work and came across The Derby in Pomona. We decided to stop by and check it out, and I'm glad we did. When you walk in, you go down a small hallway that opens up into a bar/restaurant/betting area. A unique vibe that caught me by surprise in a good way. After chatting with a few of the regulars, I was convinced to try my luck betting on the ponies, and it definitely added to the fun. We had a couple of drinks, the beers were cold and reasonably priced. The food was another highlight. I ordered the fried rice, which was excellent, and my buddy had a cheeseburger that looked juicy and delicious. Our bartender/server Natalie, was outstanding friendly, attentive, and on point the entire time. We also had the chance to chat with the owner Branden, which really made the experience feel even more welcoming. Always happy to support a local place but over 3 hours to place a food order seems ridiculous. Lots of locals so if you're not one good luck getting service. With so many better choices close by we will definitely not return. Plus the musty smell and wobbly chairs made it even impossible to have a good time. Garbage service. I was the only person sitting at the bar and had to wait 20+ minutes it's between drinks. Ordered food and waiting approximately 50-60 minutes for a dip sandwich and fries! Have gave it about 3 chances and still the same results EVERY time. 3 people behind the bar and get completely ignored. They need to change their ways or figure out their crap! read more

Stopped by to try to catch a game and have some drinks. The place has a strong cigarette smell and it's not a friendly environment to guests who are not bidding/gambling. Mom loves Everything Horses so we went on Mothers Day .. Reservations went perfect She chose the prime rib which she loved. She had no complaints about her lunch .. Come here on the weekends with my wife on our days off. Drinks are always amazing, they have a great selection of different beers. Wife loves her Mexican Candy shots, super good! The bartender Natalie always has great service and makes great drinks. We always get the patty melt and the marble bread they have is so good! The servers Julia and Abril are always a pleasure to have, friendly and fast service. It's a cool spot to hang out and bet on horses. AC is a great plus on the hot days. read more

Great environment!! A must visit for all sporting events!! Off Track horse betting is awesome and the people get fired up! fun to watch! The menu is great for a sports bar! This place is shockingly a great family dining experience. We heard about prime rib night on some Thursdays and now my kids are hooked! Been going for months and the service has been great every single time... the portions are good. Poke tuna bowl also a delicious choice. I'm not a big drinker anymore but hard to say no when there's such an abundant ice cold draft beer selection... It's always fun to place some horse bets while ur there while the food goes down. Came in for the prime rib, made reservations and when we showed up they said just sit anywhere after a few minutes of waiting. Once we found a seat it took about another 15 minutes to just get a drink, overall time took about 2 hrs from start to finish had to flag down waitress to order drinks and food, also had to ask for the table to wiped down. Once you get service they are very friendly and nice, but the Derby room is severely under staffed. They definitely need more help here. read more

I visited on a Saturday, take out only. I ordered a root beer and some spinach dip and chips. It was a very simple order. My root beer was fantastic, sweet but spicy . The spinach dip was a disaster. I don't know what the sauce or creamy part was, maybe cheese? It had very little spinach in it and it was not flavored, no salt , no garlic, no pepper, no onion flavor . I was terrible. The chips didn't have any salt in them either. That appetizer missed the mark completely. It should be taken off the menu until someone figures out how to make it properly. read more

If I hadn't had such a long drive ahead of me, I probably would have tried one of the local beers. They looked like there was a good variety. This does seem to be a great place for college students or where they might take their parents when they visit. Again, it probably checks a lot of boxes. For me today it fit the bill and I don't think it will be too disappointing to anyone. The service was pretty quick and the place is designed nicely. We enjoyed our time there. Super spacious and good for groups. They only had 1 guy working when i went and he was very friendly. Got 3 pizzas for $48. A little pricey but really good pizzas. You could potentially eat a whole by yourself if you're really hungry. Each is cut into 6 slices.
