    Cucumber lemonade and lime margarita
    Gloria G.

The place is located in the Food for Less shopping center and as we passed by we thought why not try. It has a covered outdoor seating area and it seems like a nice place to seat but it was hot so we went inside. The entrance is covered so you can't see inside until seated. It has tvs playing sports, news , and I'm sure they would accommodate your choice. We were seated at a corner table and it was empty except for some young girls having lunch. We were handed 5 menus - drinks, brunch, lunch, specials , meal combos. I think it would be easier to combined them into a menu book. We settled on a lime margarita and cucumber lemonade. First Mexican restaurant I've been to that doesn't give you tortilla chips and salsa When they came we tried them and they kind of tasted the same- you could definitely taste the line but not a fresh lime juice like a bitter lime. The cucumber lemonade was more like a limeade with a splash of cucumber. We ordered the Molcajete which wasn't described in the menu, it had steak, chicken, cheese, green onion, green chiles, sausage, small shrimps and the Molcajete sauce which brought everything together nicely. I tried the meat without the sayce first and they were freshly made, tender, moist, juicy perfectly cooked but with the sauceyummy. It came with a platter of rice, beans, pico de gallo and pickled onions. The rice was fluffy, soft and tasty, the beans were creamy and well prepared not too much cheese. The meal was perfect and at 60 dollars it was pricy but worth it. I wish it would have also included a couple of bacon wrapped shrimp and not just the small shell on shrimp that were buried on the bottom. We will be back!

First time there, we went after a gym session. Sat at the bar and some drinks. I didnt get pics but the bartender made me a delicious OldFashion. I enjoyed my burrito and the sauce too. It actually had some spice to it. Normally restaurants dont, but this one did. Thank you!

    TACO FLIGHT

I reallyyyyyyy was looking forward to this place because of all of the great reviews. We made reservations and realized it was going to be crowded because of Cinco de Mayo and Happy Hour. The place is smaller than I thought but it was fun and festive almost like a club, with a dj and everything. Our experience started off good, our waiter was nice and we requested to wait for happy hour and he was kind about it. But after a lot more people got seated around us, we were completely ignored. The bigger parties got serviced faster, received their drinks and foods A LOT FASTER. My bf and I ordered nachos and two taco flights yet our server heard one taco flight. So we shared one taco flight while waiting for the other to be delivered. Never arrived. We ordered another round of drinks...again never received them. We were seated in the middle and I felt like the outer tables were seen and the inside tables were totally invisible. Another pair next to us experienced the same thing because they looked just as irritated as us. We could've saved time and just went to another Mexican restaurant with better service and better food. The taco flight was basic. Needless to say, wont be visiting again nor recommending.

Wow! What an awesome find. The pics and reviews did compadres justice. We had awesome service for our large party and a really enjoyable evening. Our cocktails were all so on point. Everyone really enjoyed ourselves. Faves were the whiskey smash, guava margarita and the sangria! The fruit ourees in the drinks were all House made and totally made the cocktails. Everyone was happy with their food! Which for 8 of us, that's pretty hard to do. We tried the birria tacos, pork belly tacos, shrimp, pozole, Cali burrito and the molcajete. The molcajete was stand out for me. The sauce/salsa it was cooked in was the best and the meat was all tender and moist. Nothing was overcooked! 100/100 recommend. Absolutely worth the $50. Don't skip it. Highly recommend for a memorable birthday dinner.

I did a quick searchi on Yelp for food in the area while on a trip and this place looked intriguing. Decided to give it a try and it was not a disappointment! Cool vibes with music playing and welcoming staff. They have a bar, high top tables, and larger tables for groups; there is a patio out front as well. The food was SO good. Guacamole and chips for the table, which came with two salsas. The green sauce was so good! The red sauce was good as well but definitely didn't gravitate towards it as much. Tacos are a la carte, which was convenient so I could try different options. Battered fish, cryspy shrimp, and "camaron enchilado" were my choices. Of the three, the enchilado was my favorite. I got a mango michelada for my beverage and was pleasantly surprised at the size of it for the price. I was expecting a pint glass but this was quite large.

Absolutely delicious! Everything was exquisite, customer service was great as well, waited a little bit to be seated but the food made up for it, prices are great, definitely a hidden gem! It's so worthy of trying! Just thinking about it makes my mouth watery!

Excellent service from start to finish! Manager Ricardo was incredibly kind and made a point to check in on us throughout our visit. Our bartender, Oldin, was just as impressive--attentive, quick, and truly skilled at his craft. Even though I usually prefer Añejo tequilas, he introduced me to a couple of Blanco options that were surprisingly smooth and enjoyable. We ordered the bone marrow tacos, and they were absolutely delicious. The food came out incredibly fast, and the overall speed and quality of service really stood out. The ambiance was also great--not too busy for Easter Sunday, which made the experience even more enjoyable, and the music was on point. I was genuinely impressed and will definitely be returning to Compadres Cantina.

Been wanting to try this place forever and I finally tried it this past Monday on Labor Day with my friend and we had a very good time and everything was five stars all around. It's nice inside I love the decor. It's so vibrant and colorful and definitely a good vibe to have fun and a good happy hour joint for sure on Mondays. They have good margaritas specials for six dollars and they have a happy hour from 3 to 6 PM Monday through Thursday I believe. The service is very exceptional and they check on you the whole entire time and ask if you need anything and if you're OK. We started off with the guacamole and chips which was a five out of five and very delicious. Front the happy hour menu I got the four tacos chicken that was very good and moist, and the chicken taquitos which was bomb. For my drink order, I got the lemon drop, sangria, and I tried a mango margarita that I didn't finish only because it was a little bit too sweet but overall, it was very good. All drinks were five out of five. I wanted to try a few drinks so I can just know since it was my first time. I will come back here and I will come to enjoy happy hour again and the regular menu because it has so much to choose from, and I like because they also have rolls, which they look very good that I would try next time.

chicken enchiladas were good but would not come back because of the bad experience.. i can get enchiladas elsewhere
    Clare R.

One star for the chicken enchiladas I had... other than that, the experience here was revolting. I will say, I came here about 2 years ago expecting the same vibe because it was amazing that last time. You would think this place would keep up the good ambiance they had, but that was not the case. It was enough for me, and everyone else in my party to know that we would not want to come back here. Considering that we came here for my best friend's birthday, and we had a big party, you would think they would be welcoming and accommodating. We made reservations, which we didn't have to, because for a Saturday night, it was empty. The girl at the front was not welcoming at all, and our server was so rude and disrespectful. She did not come in to check up on us when we were missing a couple items (mind you, the restaurant was not even filled, so we did not understand why she was not stopping by) and she even brought an extra drink to our table then realized it was for another party (but charged it on our bill). While we were here for a celebration, the server honestly ruined the mood. When we received the bill, we asked her to remove the extra margarita that she charged on our bill. She did not come by to clear our table at all, so we had proof of all of the drinks we had on our table and counted each of them that reflected on the bill. She was making a big deal out of it and seemed to not want to remove it. We asked if there was a manager to speak to, and she said no. We had to talk to three other servers who worked there, so they could understand where we were coming from. She was making it seem like we did not want to tip, which we definitely would because we're a big party and that's just common courtesy, but she was pressing on that issue when it was clearly us wanting to remove the margarita from the bill. Finally, the last guy who came to speak to us stated that, "Well, we have to redo the entire bill again just to remove it." Like? So they made a huge deal out of removing a margarita because they were too lazy to do it again... We literally explained to him that they were all giving us a hard time because they decided that they did not want to redo the bill? That's insane. Eventually, he said he will do it, but it was ridiculous that they went through lengths for us to just get one margarita off the bill... Clearly, I will not be returning along with everyone else who attended the dinner. The chicken enchiladas were good but not enough for me to return to an overly priced restaurant with horrible service where you feel neglected, the servers are rude, and drinks are not the best. There are better Mexican restaurants out here, avoid this place. Seriously.

This is a hidden gem, I've only come during lunch and it hasn't been that busy. The server says it gets busy on the weekends and later in the day. So far I've tried the chilaquiles burrito and a carne asada burrito wet. My wife has gotten the taco trio. Both my burrito's were bursting with flavor and their hot sauces and amazing. Super nice seating and great music playing. Servers have been super helpful and attentive. Can't wait till my next visit.

Super good, service was great and the food is so good, not to mention they have huge portions so it is worth the price. You can definitely share one of these plates between two people!

Secondly, my husband and I ate the pupusas at home and wanted to spit it out. I'm not sure what kind of cheese they use if it's maybe more authentic than what I am used to but it was pungent and so strong. There are a few chairs for people to sit on while they wait for their order, but no tables, no bathrooms. My wait time was 15-20 minutes. You can call in advance and pick-up as well to save time. Options: You can request for fried or baked empanadas. Sizes are quite small. Smaller than your hand. Made to order, so empanadas are served piping hot. CRIOLLA It's been awhile since I've last had empanadas, so decided to start with this. Very good starting point. The criolla was jam packed with ground beef, onions, eggs, olives and raisins. Loved the olives and raisins in it brought a briny and sweet flavor. It was very satisfying to eat, especially with the chimichurri. For reference, the spicy beef was similar in flavor profile minus the spicy kick. SPICY BEEF A must-try. This was super good! I would have ordered more if I knew what to order. This was my favorite! It tasted like a taco filling with all the taco seasonings. There was ground beef, onions, eggs, olives and jalapeños in it for the spicy kick. It wasn't too spicy either. SPICY CARNITAS Very porky flavors. Porky-licious! Definitely has that spicy kick from the jalapeños. The meat was slightly dry. It was okay, but I wouldn't order this again. CORN & CHEESE Could not see much other vegetables in it other than corn. Don't know what cheese was used, but it did taste a bit like Velveeta cheese. There was not stuffed and there was not a lot of cheese and not a lot of corn. It was very bland. I could still taste the empanada dough. It almost tasted undercooked. The empanada dough itself is bland. This was terrible and not good at all! APPLE I ordered it for fried, but it came out baked. Overall it wasn't bad, it tasted like apple pie. Yet the dough itself is thicker, so it takes away from the filling. The filling could use some more cinnamon and more apple juice filling to bring a more robust apple filling flavor. The flavor overall was good, but slightly lacking. CHIMICHURRI SAUCE Herbacious and tangy. You gotta scoop up the herbs and eat it on top of the empanada. You do need to purchase for 50 cents extra. But I think it's worth getting. CASH OR CREDIT CARD ACCEPTED! SURCHARGE ADDED TO CREDIT CARD USERS. CUSTOMER SERVICE Good customer service. The person taking my order was patient and friendly.
