This store doesn't have SH*TT! But hair dye. They don't have a section for combs brushes, no RUBBER BANDS! Who doesn't have rubber bands for hair. Oh & no HAIR GEL! I asked her to show me the gel and she showed me MENS pomade! A big store full of hair dye and bleach. If your black just don't even go they have NOTHING for our hair. read more

I understand why the bad reviews... customer service SUCK!!! The manager is so unprofessional I was speechless ... there are a couple of girls here that are really trying but the majority doesn't really care.. most of the time there are boxes everywhere and makes it hard to move around. read more

There was a woman working late afternoon on Saturday, October 28th. Wasn't sure if she was a manager, and she wasn't wearing a name tag. There was a gentleman who was very friendly and did holler across the store for her, I believe he called her Rocky. We arrived just before closing and she was so pushy to get us out of the store. She had a bad attitude and was very rude to me and my friend. I was planning on purchasing a bunch of stuff I needed for work, but instead put a lot back and got the things I absolutely needed. I won't be coming back to this location and if 0 stars was a selection, that's what I would have rated this store. read more

I always have a great experience here, maybe I'm lucky because I always get Vickie(Vicky ) ?? She's awesome. She always helps me and she's super accommodating. Always checks if things are on sale for me or not before checkout. She's always on top of things, if I need something that's not in stalk - very communicative and great at customer service. This is what my fiancé' & I experience last Wednesday (6/27/12) at this place of business. I have live here in Santa Clarita for 11 years and in those 11 years have ever never experience anything like this before. WHAT A BAD EXPERIENCE at Cosmoprof today!!! I encountered the rudest worker ever. She wasn't helpful or knowledgeable and kept telling me the register was closing at 6 when I had 15 minutes to closing! Didn't know what the things I needed were or if they had them in the store. At no moment did she even go to the shelf to help me find things and when I asked if she knew anything about waxing product...its, she proceeded to tell me how I didn't even know what I wanted!!! FOR REAL NOW? I told her I knew what I wanted but didn't know if they had it. she says to me THEN READ! She threw my credit card on the counter instead of handing it to me and told my fiancé to LEAVE when he told her would have found what we needed much faster had she actually tried to help. Called him a FA***T!!! Told him that he was harassing her and could call 911 on him! What??!!! Unbelievable! read more

This place had a decent selection, but like the bulk of the other reviews state, the service was pretty terrible. I took my wife and her mom. They had a basket full of supplies... My wife's mom went to ask a question about one of the Joico colors and rather than being knowledgeable or courteous, the girl working decided to tell her that she had 2 minutes to pay before they closed. I know what it is like to work retail, work in a restaurant, etc, and this was beyond unacceptable. You treat the store as if it is your own regardless of your status within a company. An additional $240 at the end of the day should be exciting, not a burden on your prompt closing of the store. read more

I had to give a great review because i really appreciate when people go out of their way to help you! I had a desperate last-minute need for a product that I don't think is a big seller. After being told that it was not out on the shelf, Alma and Joanie spent some time thinking about it and remembering there might be some in the back. Then they pulled out the step ladder and went out to a high, high shelf and found the items I needed! It definitely save the day for me! They also offered to order me some for next time! The people who work here are lazy and know nothing about what products they even carry. Came in recently asked for a spray hair sunscreen I saw on the website. The gal said we don't have anything like that. Sure enough after checking each aisle there's the product I wanted right on the shelf. This has happened every time I frequent this store. Came in today with my aunt. The person helped us was very kind and helpful but I'm guessing he's new cuz he kept asking the other girl the questions we were asking. I actually would give this store overall 3-4 stars. They have a decent selection of products and their employees are usually friendly, although not terribly helpful. Unfortunately most of them seem to be completely clueless about their products. The one star rating is specifically for one employee, I think she may be the manager even, an Asian woman with glasses. She is very rude, always has attitude, unwilling to help or answer even the simplest question. I have encountered her on a handful of shopping trips here; always the same lousy attitude. My advice: avoid her if possible. read more

I am a cosmetologist. I've worked in this business for 32 years and I have never experienced such horrible service in my life, this Isn't the first time I've tried to get information form the sales girls at this location. I purchased at blow dryer and asked for some help and she had no clue about the blowdryers.She was not helpful and unwilling to even take the time to look at me, there was no one in the store. I've been in before to buy products and same thing happens when you asked the sales girls for help they rush you. They're very stuck up and have no knowledge of the products in the store. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS COSMOPROF. There return policy sucks. Salon centric on Lyons is the best the sales girl are so educated and the manager is a doll. I just wanted to share about my experience with one of the employees (I can't remember his name but it started with a J) . I came in a little unsure with how to approach the next step in my clients hair process, so I asked. I was a little embarrassed asking for help but he was very understanding. He answered all of my questions thoroughly and helped me pick out the product I needed. And helped me with the formulation! I now have a lot of confidence in what I'm doing! read more

Favorite Cosmo Prof to go to !!! The staff is amazing always making sure that every customer finds what they need. Alma is the sweetest always recommending other options or requesting the items I need. Another employee Cristopher or Cristian I can't recall the name always greets me at the door asking how I'm doing , he loves to engage with the customers which makes the whole shopping experience different than any other location. I love cosmoprof. Lots of people I know say the same. The main thing I like is the friendliness of a long time employee who is now acting manager, Linda Orosco. Her knowledge of products is incredible & her friendliness & humor are very welcome from the often cold shoulder that happen at beauty supply shops. I really appreciate her help & quickness at welcoming whoever comes in the store. The store is also always very clean & orderly & if a product is not on the shelf she will happily retrieve it from stock for you or order it to get ASAP. Linda is worth her weight in gold. The disappointing truth when coming to yelp.. others have had the same customer service experiences. the girls here are less than helpful, its like prying teeth. I've asked for product recommendations in the past and have been given "i dont know"s and general clueless replies. My decision to finally write a review is because just his week I went to the store with my mother in law to return some items and decided to also do some shopping, upon checking out we placed all items on the register counter and the employee asked for a receipt, we didnt have one ( this has never been a problem in the past) she said "where did you guys have these items, i didnt see you come in with them how do I know you didnt just grab them while you were in the store I dont know people do random things"-THAT SOUNDED LIKE AN ACCUSATION TO ME! i just tried to keep my cool and we told her we would come back with a receipt. i think after she realized how in the wrong she was she distastefully decided to return the items with no receipt. I was just so taken back and I tried so hard to to keep my cool in front of my mother in law. So disrespectful. read more

WHEW! This was my first time visiting this Cosmo. I have recently relocated to this area. I will not be back. The store was more cluttered that what I am used to. Lots of boxes everywhere but I really don't care about that. I asked the woman (Maricela I believe was her name) where the Shines XG developer was, because there was not any with any of the Paul Mitchell color/product line. There was a lot of the XG color but no developer. First off she didn't know what color I was talking about. I showed her the box, she said she would check in the back. She came back and we met in the isle with the PM line. She continualy picks up the PM shines developer and the color block. I said here is what the bottle looks like, and showed her a picture they had. I said that stuff goes to PM Shines and the other is a color block. Well I guess I just went way too far with that. I then was WELL INFORMED that she has been there for "TWO MONTHS" (I already knew that because she told every other customer in the store) and she "HAS NEVER SEEN THIS BEFORE." That is when I gestured to the entire shelf full of XG. If she is so proud of her TWO MONTHS of work maybe she should learn what color lines Cosmo carries. It's not as if I was asking for Shades. I then asked her for her name, and said she was being very rude. That's when she could've won an award. I love Cosmo and have always had a good experience with each store I have shopped in. I've been going to this cosmo prof for 8 years now. Before they even moved to cinema drive. The past couple months I have never seen such idiotic people working there. Not only have the employees acted stuck up and rude. They are unable to accommodate my needs. I have to supply my own products for work and send in a receipt to be reimbursed. They refused to let me do two transactions. One for work and one for personal. Today I tried paying with a gift card visa. They told me I was unable to pay the balance with my debit card. Ridiculous. Then they explained to me i wouldn't have been able to do that even with a cosmo prof gift card. I cut hair for a living, no chemicals. I came in a couple days ago and asked about the right stuff to color my hair. The lady who helped me had no idea what she was talking about. If you hire someone straight out of school make sure they are actually able to help people who walk in not just give them attitude because they don't know what they're talking about. read more
