I've had upper back/shoulder pain the past two weeks from playing more pickleball and getting back into weight training. I came here because I've been having lots of neck/shoulder pain and weakness in my arm that had been progressively getting worse. I called around to multiple PT clinics in the area and they had such a long waiting period to get evaluated, but luckily Trenton was able to get me in the very next day I called. He was very thorough with the assessment, answered all the questions I had (there were a lot of them ), and I didn't once feel rushed throughout the session. It turns out the symptoms I had been experiencing were likely from thoracic outlet syndrome! Basically there were a couple muscles deep inside my neck that were compressing on a bundle of nerves/arteries which supplied my arm. I've had a few sessions with Trenton so far, and he would work on my neck, take me through some exercises, and he also talked about some things I could change at home in terms of ergonomics or techniques when I'd play pickleball so that I'm using the best mechanics so that the symptoms don't return or get worse. I fell down half a year ago and my spinal nerves were compressed, making one leg weak. I have to drag my foot while walking, I still can't go far. The Dr. Trenton Nakama saw me, checked my symptoms very carefully, determined where I was injured, and then performed rehabilitation based on my condition. Amazingly, after only two rehabilitation sessions, I was able to lift my foot to walk. After four rehabilitation sessions, I can walk twice as much as before. I marveled at Dr. Nakama fruitful treatment. I have seen two physical therapists before, but with little success. I didn't really think I needed physical therapy since my injury was so minor, but I'm so glad that I did! A year ago, I had a minor skiing accident which left my right knee unable to fully bend all the way. I couldn't sit comfortably with my legs criss crossed anymore which made me really sad since that's how I usually sit at my desk. With that being said, I'm really glad I found Cosmos. The space was warm, inviting, and clean. I also like how the clinic had an open floor space with a mirror so you could see your form. He was very informative and had a lot of knowledge even though I could barely put into words the pain I was feeling. I'm sooooo gald that I found Trenton to help with my neck! I had been dealing with neck pain for months at this point.
