Cosmos pizza is my favorite pizza place in Boulder, huge slices, the spicy ranch is amazing. The reason I only give it three stars is because the employees do not follow health codes. DO NOT ORDER A SALAD HERE! I have seen them handle cash and then go straight to making salads without washing their hands. I eat at cosmos about once a week, and when I eat there, it's good every time. Unfortunately, the past couple of times that I have ordered delivery I've been pretty disappointed. The first time the pizza took more than two hours and was pretty marginal quality, the second time the person who answered the phone was extremely rude and the pizza was also marginal quality again. Pizza was mediocre however we went in with about 7 people and within seconds the employee was rude and disrespectful quote on quote, "Hurry the fuck up and order". Cosmo gives new meaning to the phrase, LOUSY PIZZA. My $25 all meat pizza is not as good as a Walmart $9 grocery pizza, Little meat and very little sauce. Zero cheese, Pitiful. I bought some Prego sauce to put on the balance of the remains of this junk-ola pizza. I have visited twice, my first and LAST time. Go anywhere else. It will be better. Unfortunate I could not give it ZERO stars. Second day later, I put on 1/2 bottle of Prego sauce from the grocery. Crust now tough and they did not even provide plastic anti-crush device. Good reviews are BOGUS for this place. Makes Mountain Mike's fit for a king, in comparison. Even fake cheese, is better than NO CHEESE. I cannot get over how the good reviews contradict my visit. Cosmos Pizza has been and will forever be.. MY JAM. I ordered 10 XL pizza's with 6 jars of spicy ranch to show up at my wedding reception at midnight. I placed my order weeks in advance and have to say I was a little worried "my party trick" might not work. However, I learned a very valuable lesson -- COSMOS ALWAYS COMES THROUGH! They showed up at midnight on the dot and I could have an entire album named -- Cosmo smiles -- because everyone had the biggest smile and couldn't have been more pumped for the midnight snack. Cosmo's Pizza: excellent. The chefs salad was fresh but lacking in some meats. We ordered delivery on a Holiday weekend Saturday night and it took a while: maybe it was an hour and a half but that was to be expected. We really were not disappoint and the the delivery guy was pleasantly friendly. We had spent quite a bit of time even finding a pizza place that was open and delivered so, when we happen upon Cosmo's, our expectations were not high. I try to have a good time here, but the only person working hard seems to be the manager! Trash overflowing and the slice usually burned or raw... If you order multiple slices they come out randomly and cooked to differet textures, no way they are keeping track of what is what. First off, the pizza is great! The best part is it ALWAYS is great, which is more than the other pizza spots around town can say. The main reason why I felt compelled to write this review is because of the customer service. I am a dumb stoner who had the music too loud and didn't hear the door or the phone. They showed up nice and early! They repeatedly called me and sent me a text explaining that they showed up but nobody answered. I then called back and the delivery driver said he would head right back. He was back really fast with my za and was really nice. I visited my daughter over the labor day weekend; she is a freshman in college and has been very anxious about living in the dorms and starting school. We went to Cosmos Pizza around 7:30 pm on Sunday and ordered slices of Pizza. The two girls working the front counter, were extremely engaging and sweet to my daughter. One of the girls had graduated from CU and the other one was currently enrolled. They gave her great advice and were very encouraging. This location will not be getting my business again, and it certainly should not get yours either. The blatant health code violations on display made me throw my food out after purchasing it. There were about five employees behind the counter, each performing various roles. There were zero gloves in use, which is fine, as long as people are very careful about proper hand washing, basic sanitary habits, and not doing things like taking money and preparing food in the same act. Apparently Cosmos employees are not the careful type. At least four of the employees were eating while preparing the meals and dough. Hands were going into mouths to shove in gummy worms, and employees were chewing over the buckets that they were stirring. At one point I thought a gummy worm was going to drop into the food. One employee was checking her phone and then returning directly to the line, while two employees were using a dubious technique of holding paper towels over their mouths to protect them from flour (I'm guessing). It's convenient having a paper towel over your mouth when you have the sniffles, as this allows you to cough liberally into your hand and towel without interrupting your work flow. One girl in particular was taking advantage of this, much to my dismay. After witnessing this orgy of health violations, I threw my pizza in the trash. I eat pizza at a minimum 15 days a month. Throwing out pizza goes against everything I believe in - I would eat pizza off the floor of Dominos before eating a slice that came across that counter. If there was a manager on duty, he or she should be fired, and all employees should be required to attend Servsafe classes. This is how illness spreads. The responsibility falls directly on management, since literally every employee on shift was in open violation of some health code. You could not pay me to eat here. read more

I visited Cosmo's Pizza and the cashier charged me a price higher than that posted on the menu for a slice of pizza. The cashier looked at another employee who overheard this exchange and they smiled at each other. I did not immediately realize what was going on, but the customer behind me ordered the exact same slice and was charged the correct amount. I asked the cashier to explain the discrepancy between the price I paid and the price the second customer paid (which was equal to the menu price), and he looked at me as if I were speaking to him in a foreign language. I dumbed it down and said something to the effect of "Hey bro. You charged me extra. What's up?" Without apologizing or explaining himself, he refunded the extra money that he fraudulently charged. On top of that, the pizza is very mediocre. I shouldn't have been surprised, given the appearance of the restaurant and the fact that the employees almost exclusively had long hair that was not tied up... I won't be returning. read more

Ordered a pizza at 6:35pm & was promised delivery in 60 minutes. It didn't arrive for 1 hour & 15 minutes & then I wasn't even offered a discount for the 3 cold pizzas that were delivered. I couldn't even tell that they pizzas had been sliced as they were fused back together. I do NOT recommend this place & feel ripped off. If they can't deliver in the time they allot, then change your promise or lower the price. There are options that would have delivered in time. read more
