Second but no lesson important to know: if you're wondering about lash extensions Autumn is the girl you want. I've been going to her for almost a year now and it's been worth every penny. I followed her from her old spot in Champlin and I drive from Elk River to see her. She's the best. Sometimes I have to bring my kids with and she never complains even though it's kinda a pain in the ass. I'd shower her with gifts and cash if I was a rich person. After that initial trim I booked an appointment for August for a cut and color after talking to the person who was cutting my hair and she talked about her experiences with cut and color. I should have asked to see her portfolio. I used this reference photo for color and asked for a shag haircut in addition to this. I clearly didn't get that color. Instead of this it was incredibly chunky early 2000s highlights. Maybe for someone but not for me and not what I asked for. I went into another salon in the greater twin cities area the next day and they blended it as much as they could. I don't have photos of this but they were surprised my hair had been profesionally done as they found "numerous" spots throughout my hair where the lightener had fallen out of foils and created round bleach spots within my hair. I also had them check the cut and they said that the cut wasn't a true shag and that the layers had been to bluntly cut and were cut to cave inward instead of blend and go out. No clear photos of that either unfortunately. Im giving two stars because everyone was professional and kind and they used nice products and there was another women there when I got my service done that genuinely seemed to love how her color and cut from another stylist turned out, however before you book I would STRONGLY recommend asking to see examples of someone's portfolio first. I wish I would have done that as it would have saved me over $200 to get my hair redone if I had went elsewhere to begin with.

I had an very bad experience first time with expert and will not go back which is unfortunate…read morebecause she seemed very nice I scheduled an appointment and I came in showed Wanda pictures of what I wanted I ended up with too many highlights from a partial foil which sat on top of the rest of my hair because the way the foils came straight from the top of my head and the color was a very brassy blonde and she charged me 60$ extra dollars to tone which didn't make any difference with the shop lights it was hard to tell when I left so I paid 150$ and got home and cried i did not like the color my hair was very frizzy and not styled so I called to fix it I get scheduled with Wanda again and I just wanted to throw red on it at this point to cover up the damages and color and she put the color on for maybe 10 minutes and washed my hair it didn't fully cover my blonde or pick up a tone because she washed it out so soon then left me with washed out red tone and fuzzy bangs to walk out and bangs where a bit thicker then wanted so I talked with manger and she said she seen nothing wrong and was going to allow me to be unsatisfied and leave until I asked for half the money back to take else where I didn't want color on top of color to fix it I would not go back I would warn anyone who wants to go there to make sure you get what you want the first time luckily Wanda didn't have me sign a consent form for the coloring because I wouldn't have got anything in return but wasted money and messed up hair :(

The skill it takes to color match my extensions to my roots is incredible. She offers fair prices, and the conversation is always top-notch! I got about 10 inches off my hair and it's uneven. My friends told me the back has a slant so it's not straight across. The sides are clearly shorter than the back. And they gave me bangs when I didn't want them. I pointed out to the hairstylist that she gave me bangs and she claimed they were just layers and tried to "blend them in more" which just made it shorter. I cried after my haircut. But we grit our teeth and think of England, or better yet, the glorious hair that will be our just reward for an hour of imagining all the cutting remarks going on inside the heads of the lithe, tattoed, pierced. and oh-so-chic crowd. Thing is, you find a great stylist, you hang on for dear life! Mine took my 11-year old daughter's long, thick, coarse blanket of hair, and our vague opinions as to what should be done, and working with us the entire time--never forcing her will--came up with an age-appropriate, but fashion forward style. She taught my daughter how to style it and reminded her that it was okay to not do much at all with it. She kept in mind that fractions of inches were as important as miles to the tween set. In short, she is a gem. Greeters and schedulers are always professional and courteous. Prices are slightly too steep for us to keep our kids coming regularly; but as I lazily only get mine cut once or twice a year, the cost doesn't bother me. Requiring a cut every month or so, it was tough to get the spouse to come even once, used as he was to his $15 cuts. But after seeing what could be done with his thinning hair, he hasn't looked back! I have no experience with the colorists, but they always look busy and committed, and I would certainly choose Rocco Altobelli for coloring if needed. Next time, maybe a temporary tattoo?
