Ella did an amazing job ensuring I was comfortable and understood my skincare needs, despite being relatively new. She was very gentle and professional. The products used smelled great and felt very nice and luxurious. Application was relaxing. The massage was a bonus. The pressure was just fine for me. The sound track they played was calming, which I expected for this kind of experience. If I were to nitpick, I'd prefer more steam, a more thorough extraction for my nose pores (I could still see my nose pores were not clear), and a little bit more pressure with the product application around the nose area, but that's just my preference and what I'm used to. I will request that at my next booking! For the environment, I do wish it were in a little bit more secluded area because it's pretty much in the center of the salon so you can hear EVERYONE'S conversation. So it was a bit noisy for a "luxurious spa" experience. But for the price, you really can't complain. I've only ever gone to Spavia (SUPER luxurious), so my expectations might be a little up there since I've never gotten a facial at a Salon specific place before. It's definitely a drastic difference environment-wise, but it makes sense for the price. You really can't beat it. I'll be coming back! Hopefully as Ella gets more experience and learns more about my skin and what I like, it'll only get better from here on out. She's really nice and accommodating!

After that initial trim I booked an appointment for August for a cut and color after talking to the person who was cutting my hair and she talked about her experiences with cut and color. I should have asked to see her portfolio. I used this reference photo for color and asked for a shag haircut in addition to this. I clearly didn't get that color. Instead of this it was incredibly chunky early 2000s highlights. Maybe for someone but not for me and not what I asked for. I went into another salon in the greater twin cities area the next day and they blended it as much as they could. I don't have photos of this but they were surprised my hair had been profesionally done as they found "numerous" spots throughout my hair where the lightener had fallen out of foils and created round bleach spots within my hair. I also had them check the cut and they said that the cut wasn't a true shag and that the layers had been to bluntly cut and were cut to cave inward instead of blend and go out. No clear photos of that either unfortunately. Im giving two stars because everyone was professional and kind and they used nice products and there was another women there when I got my service done that genuinely seemed to love how her color and cut from another stylist turned out, however before you book I would STRONGLY recommend asking to see examples of someone's portfolio first. I wish I would have done that as it would have saved me over $200 to get my hair redone if I had went elsewhere to begin with.

There was the caveat of cancellation, and needing a bigger window of time in order to avoid late fees (which is good for others to be aware of). I wasn't concerned about this as I scheduled this visit yesterday and had full intention to go in although i can see this being a challenge if it's scheduled out and something comes up. My stylist was Veronica, and she took ample time to ask me about what I wanted, how I liked my look and asked about a lot of nuance to ensure I got the look I wanted. She took her time and was willing to modify when I noticed I wanted it shorter. She was knowledgeable about fine hair, the products and different things likely impacting my hair. I appreciated this. The atmosphere of the salon was sort of bustling, many bodies moving about, a lot of chatter and noise. This isn't unexpected nor was it a bad thing but could be good to note if noise levels are hard for some people. The aesthetic of the salon was airy but chic. I appreciated the decor and the products used were interesting. I'm excited to see if they irritate my scalp (as some do) or if these will be products I'll be able to purchase and begin using regularly!
