*Update* After just 2 days I had to take the hair down! Felt tension on my edges last night so…read moreafter a closer look at my edges the glue had been completely attached to them. PICTURES INCLUDED. Thankfully, I know how to remove glue which left no damage to my hair. Felicia used my hair to keep the cap down. Glued the track to the cap on my exposed (unprotected) hair. This was a horrible job for $135and a supposedly senior/ knowledgeable hairstylist. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! *Original review* I have mixed feelings about my experience at hair so funky. Felicia is indeed sweet. However, this is a hair salon, so my review will be based on customer service, time, cost, and hair results. Booking- The option to book "see times" and select an appointment is unavailable for a quick weave. Instead, you will have to click request to call Felicia. She and I spoke last Thursday, 12/12, and both confirmed that yesterday, 12/20, at 4:30 PM would work best for us. Time- I arrived at 4:35 PM (Felicia was aware I'd be a little late and confirmed that it was okay for me to come still). It was 30 minutes after my arrival to receive a shampoo and protein treatment. Sat under the dryer until the protein treatment dried, and then sat and waited some more. Rinsed the protein and conditioned my hair around 6:30 PM. She officially started my quick weave install around 8 PM, 4 hours past my appointment time. I was confused as I was informed that my appointment was the latest she'd accepted and that I would be her last client, as this wasn't the case. Two other ladies were also there getting their hair done by her simultaneously. Service- The salon is clean and cozy. She was very welcoming and offered me snacks upon arrival. Sometimes she'd stop to eat and talk to clients or over the phone. This had added to the delay in time. Cost- Quick weave costs $135, and protein treatment is $30. I tipped an additional $10. This was before my hair was completed. I was asked to pay before my hair was finished. She said the style seat would not allow me to do so after 7 PM. I lost out on a total of $175 for disappointment. Results- *pictures will be attached* I provided Felicia with a view of how I'd like my hair to be, which she said could be done. As you will see from the photos, what I asked for differs from what I received. She informed me that my hair would be molded to protect it from glue damage. That was never done. Instead, she braided my hair and placed 2 or 3 neck strips under the wig cap. This did not cover all of my hair. While installing the tracks, I felt coolness on multiple occasions along my edges. This means that the glue is attached to my natural hair. Side note: I am currently going through postpartum hair loss, so this will cause me to lose more of my edges. This will cause more damage to my edges. Felicia was well aware as we discussed it during booking and while I was in her salon. Overall- I would not recommend the quick weave installation. She allowed multiple clients to come in/book at the same time. Because of this, my hair was not given the time and care. It was rushed from beginning to end. I spent over 6 hours at her salon just to get a quick weave that I woke this morning to fix. This install is in reality worth $50 I advise you to expect not to receive attention at your booked time and to be there longer. Don't have any obligation after the appointment just to be safe.

I booked a set of braids, Senora was not only eating while doing my hair, I found literally chip crumbs in my hair when going to the bathroom (where roaches are swarming the leaking water heater) she was arguing with her child, I was uncomfortable and just wanted my hair done as requested the RIGHT WAY. she finished my hair the quickest she's ever done it, less than 5hrs. she did have so called help. A child who clearly did not want to help or be there. my braids are were all uneven in size and lengths. no clear parts. This was a nightmare! on top of she's unable to take a payment as well. she TRIED to triple charge me for this style that was rushed and not at all like I asked please avoid this salon, it's unprofessional! the owner talks about her clients accusing them of being escorts, etc! avoid this con artist at any cost! she claims to be so godly, please don't let this fool you like I was. Keep in mind! I have gone to the owner as well! This isn't my first time dealing with these people. I wanted to believe she was who she said, an honest hair stylist. She definitely is not that! In terms of skill, basic! In terms of customer service, on day one only to get your service. She double books, I've been in her salon for over five hours before just for a wash and style?! They don't care about anyone's time. She wants to put her life issues above your hair appointment. Complaining about family members etc., I come here to relax not to hear the drama about ppl I don't know including your clients. NO CLASS AT ALL! She was always late, cancelled my appointment to do a man weave while I was on the way! Several times! I've learned my lesson the hard way that not everyone who says they are familiar with natural hair care, actually are. My son has very thick low porosity hair and I really wanted to make sure he was set up with the best possible person who could trim the ends and give it a little extra TLC. Before scheduling, I reached out to LaTashia with photos to see if she was familiar with working with his hair type and she was really understanding, patient, and very helpful. -- I meant to write this review the same week of his appointment, but I blinked and a whole month went by! LaTashia took such good care of my son and was so gentle with him, that he fell asleep! He was so relaxed and it made me realize that even our children need little spa days sometimes. I will be traveling from Washington State to Texas to get my hair done properly by a true artist. When Julie does your hair she brings out the shine in your soul for everyone to see. You never leave Julie's salon feeling less than amazing. Over the years Julie has brought out so many different sides of me each one more amazing than the last.
