I've learned my lesson the hard way that not everyone who says they are familiar with natural hair care, actually are. My son has very thick low porosity hair and I really wanted to make sure he was set up with the best possible person who could trim the ends and give it a little extra TLC. Before scheduling, I reached out to LaTashia with photos to see if she was familiar with working with his hair type and she was really understanding, patient, and very helpful. -- I meant to write this review the same week of his appointment, but I blinked and a whole month went by! LaTashia took such good care of my son and was so gentle with him, that he fell asleep! He was so relaxed and it made me realize that even our children need little spa days sometimes. I couldn't have asked for a better person to take care of my son's hair needs. Everyone is friendly, checking in on you and your comfort often, offering beverages and snacks, explaining things and answering questions and never rushing. Since I have been coming my natural hair is so healthy and has grown immensely. After having locs and combing them out I was very concerned that I would not be able to save my hair but 29Eleven was able to help me get back on track. I would recommend booking on their website for appointments. The prices are really fair considering the outcome and quality of service you receive. I've been cutting my hair myself for years now, because I haven't found anyone who had really listened and done exactly what I wanted, until I decided to go to Richie Rockstar. This time, my hair was very damaged and, attempting to save it, I decided to keep cutting it myself, but I made serious mistakes. Richie Rockstar not only fixed them all, but he also brought the haircut together and gave life to my hair again! It was a 1" stump! I said I didn't want a pony. I wanted the whole damn tail! She huffed and rolled her eyes at me and said she wouldn't charge me for the cut. But I looked ridiculous!! I went to the best salon in town. Told it was shocking. The sides were 4+" longer than the back and all chopped up. If AMY was trying for a wedge she screwed that up too! Cost me $125 to get something that was somewhat stylish. It'll take a long time to get 5" back.
