This is definitely more of like a Sam's/Costco set up, best for buying in bulk! We picked up a loaf of sandwich bread and after checking out I noticed the bread I chose was 1 week overdue to be tossed (April 17). I asked the cashier if I could go and just grab a new loaf, she said that's fine, I did. EVERY SINGLE loaf was bad. Every rack, flavor, the farther down the older they got. I was just appalled. Some bags were opened, or ripped and still sitting aligned in the totes to be sold. We didn't end up getting any of the loafs, obviously. So they got about $3 for free and about 12 racks of months old bread! Just be aware for travelers coming. We had a great experience in Red Hook at Moe's, would definitely recommend them!!

Came here to grab a few beverages and other items to stock the fridge at the condo during my recent visit to the Virgin Islands. Liquor prices are slightly cheaper however, but not as cheap as Mexico prices. The service is good and the employees here are friendly, thats always a plus. I had the cashier ROTFL with my comments on the prices lol I'd suggest shopping here if you'll be staying for at least a week or more and you have at least 2 other people staying with you..I came across lots of family sized and Bulk items.

Firstly, they've got plenty of easy parking right out front. This can not be said for either of the More's grocery stores we visited. Secondly, they've got a much better selection of most items than the other stores. Not only do they have more items in general, but they've got a deeper selection of those items they do carry. They had more dairy products, larger selection of fruits and vegetables, and a much larger deli too. Lastly, their prices are better across the board. That being said, things aren't cheap here on St Thomas and you should expect to spend 30-50% more on items than you'd pay back home. I was surprised to see so few reviews. After having been to the Moe's Fresh Market in Red Hook and at the Waterfront and passing the sketchy Pueblo market, you'd be well served to make a run here to stock up if you're staying on the island.

(While being dragged away by another cashier) Shopping and entertainment? We think so. We've also learned over the past few years that the items fluctuate in pricing. Earlier this year we bought a 55" tv for $850 the next few days we went back to get another one the price jumped to $999.99. There is no price match here, only a "I think we priced it wrong when it went out onto the floor". Same thing happened for a ottoman we purchased. We got it for $99, we decided again to get a second one and found the price jumped to $299. So lesson learned here, is that if you like it and it looks reasonably priced, it is probably due to human error, so buy it now before they catch the mistake. Also make sure you check expiration dates, they don't care if you take expired items or items a few days away from hitting those dates. The worst part of this store is the to go food counter. Beware of the undercooked grey meat and if you complain about your fries being cold be prepared to get a stinky look. The best was a few days ago the hubby asked 3 employees lined up (back behind the counter doing NOTHING )if they were going to give us our order and the response was a stare back and the cashier going off on them and still no order. This is one of the few stores with no hurricane damage, they carry Kirkland products and they are still receiving regular shipments so you can actually find things. What's scary about all of this is that pricesmart isn't that bad in comparison to other grocery stores so imagine of what you'll get to deal with elsewhere! #St.Thomas #USVI

Often times when you're with family you're not treated as a tourist, so you don't feel like anyone is getting over on you. I loved seeing fruit, and I had seen it the flesh like starfruit & dragonfruit. Those types of fruit are not readily accessible in DC or if they are they're incredibly expensive b/c they're not indigenous to our area. I know when I travel I often get an upset tummy so I was glad to find varied flavors of kombucha here...that made my tummy happy especially in my fav brand as well. Lastly we got coffee and my cousin didn't purchase ground coffee...she got the beans by accident, and a gentleman offered to grind them for us as opposed to running back to get the ground coffee. This was kind of him as the store was nearing close and he really wanted to close the registers timely. He knew his staff had been working for while & wanted to respect their time.

I am not sure what to do if you can't find parking next to the store. The store was clean and seemed well-managed. The shelves were full and there was someone taking inventory for what to order. The store is small but had everything a "regular" food store has on the mainland. There are fresh fruits, a fresh meat market, canned good, boxed goods, breads, etc etc. Upstairs is devoted solely to wines. Prices are REALLY high. We spent more for one week of groceries than we do for two weeks in Dallas. And we did only a partial shop since we still want to go out. For example, whole organic milk was $11 a half gallon. The same granola that I pay $4 for in Dallas was $13. Everything was expensive across the board. I guess you pay for the convenience. The staff seemed friendly and helpful. We will probably return if we need something.
