I've been struggling to have a vehicle removed for a year and there has not been one single person from cost u less or freeway insurance (same company) that can help. I've tried in person over the phone and once I got DIEGO who is at this location and said that there is NO WAY possible a change can be made over the phone. Why is that? Every other insurance company you can make changes over the phone? That is because they have a brokers fee to make changes. Now this isn't a fee from the direct insurance company. This is a fee that cost u less and freeway applies. Just by walking in it's a fee. BEWARE!! There is a way to make changes over the phone and you call the direct insurance company and guess what NO FEE! Some might be confused! I tried to give this company the benefit of the doubt because I was referred here by a friend. But I just got my insurance maybe 3 weeks ago, I received a letter in the mail and was trying to get it cleared up. Every person I've talked to transferred me to someone else, I've been hung up on about 5 times and still no answer to my question regarding the notice! Once I did get to talk to someone they stated my insurance company sent that out to just sign it and return it, I called the insurance company directly and they stated they never sent me anything. So now I'm confused with no one to answer my question. I tried calling my local office and just been hung up on. Lol. I'm going to try and go into the office to see if I can get this cleared up. Worst customer service and so much hidden fees. Just even today, I went to there office in Hayward at 6pm and there office was suppose to be open till 8pm but no one was there. Really inconvenient when you try to get help after work. When you speak to customer service on the phone, no one seems to know exactly what they are talking about, just vaguely. I got transferred like 10 times and was put on hold for a really long time multiple times. No one seems to be professionally trained. If you still decide to sign up, make sure you are aware of their hidden fees and from my experience, they vaguely explained what those fees were for. I'm not happy with this place the way they run things, I got a renewal policy and they asked for my mileage when I asked them that I didn't had some of the papers of my oils changes and smog because they asked me for that they said they couldn't do nothing with out that paper work. In the state of CA when a car passes the smog no paper work is given to a person there directly send to the dmv. They did not want to help me with my insurance after that with out that paper so if you do your own oil changes and your dmv works like the one in cali don't go threw them because they can't even go on their own system and change things read more

FALSE ADVERTISING! Their ad on the radio says "rates as low as $15" what they don't mention is you have to have clean driving history (which I do), this rate depends on the neighborhood and city you live in. What kind of BS is this? They have garbage insurance, and with my clean driving record I am paying $70 a month for liability? $15 to $70 is a huge stretch! These people need to be reported to the Better Business Bureau!!! On top of that I've already signed up and paid them same day they put my phone number in some call log so my phone was blowing up all day (literally) from insurance agency all over the Bay Area asking me if I wanted car insurance when in fact I've already signed with these people. So when I call Cost-U-Less they tell me my number automatically goes into the call logs, what gives them the right to give out my phone number to anyone? What other information are these people giving out??? AND their "Certified" Representatives are obnoxiously rude and ghetto! Go take some Customer Services Classes!
