This review is long overdue, (I purchased at the beginning of the year), but I am more than happy to be writing this as Kyra Pigford needs to receive the well-deserved credit for going above and beyond to get us an insurance plan. She spent nearly four hours on the phone with us and never showed us even a hinting of frustration nor disrespect as we were going back and forth on deciding on the plan. She is a true demonstration of what customer service looks like and even stayed on the call after hours in order to make sure we were content with the plan we purchased. I was charged an extra $108 after my insurance policy deposit. No one could help me and I was bounced around more than once. I finally spoke to a supervisor named Robert, ID number 5415. He proceeded to tell me, I needed a confirmation number. I asked if I could call him back directly because I didn't feel comfortable bouncing around to anyone else. So he says he's going to lunch. I told him I could call him back after lunch. He proceeds to inform me any supervisor can help me as if me wants didn't matter. This location lacks the want for customer care. read more

***BEWARE DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE**** My broker Mylissa LoFranco to be exact deliberately lied to me so she could get her sale! I specifically told her my situation and that I only get paid once a month for work and I needed my payments due at the end of the month. On January 28th I paid over $300 to get this policy started. On Feb 12 I receive a bill for $214 that says its due on the 17th. I called to get this extended and cost u less corporate could not fix this situation. They offered to refund me $16! Where in the world does that make sense? Now I am stuck with a $200 bill that I DID NOT budget for and the only thing they could do was offer to shop for a new policy which i would then have to pay another deductible to get started. BUYER BEWARE! These people are shady and will do whatever they need to do to get paid- even if that's lying to people. read more

Cost U Less gives you the runaround, To sign up it's super-fast and they charge HUGE agent fees which don't apply to your policy!, Then they pass you off to, an insurance company which gives you the runaround! The billing is incorrect, The fees they charge to make an online payment are CRAZY, and their billing amount is different than the online porthole!! When you call in they say that you have a credit, BUT you truly don't it is a computer glitch, and they tell you to call back!!!! Like I have all day to sit on the phone .. Cost U Less/All Star insurance customer service rep admitted that my billing statement online has the incorrect due date. It showed I had a due date of 11/21/2017. I made a payment on 11/06/2017. I get another bill due for 11/22/2017 I paid it on 12/11/2017. I should have questioned receiving 2 bills in one month a day apart, but I did not. I receive another bill on 12/23/2017. I did not pay because I just paid two weeks ago, they cancelled my policy. I paid to reinstate the policy. After reinstating I talked to several people to explain receiving multiple bills in a short period of time, their reps said our computer made a mistake what's the big deal you are current now? This company has no integrity they only what to take my money and not provide customer service. I asked to speak with a manager, and none have returned my call. HORRIBLE service from Robert Torres. He is a liar and a cheat. I went in to add a vehicle to my policy and he gave me three different prices (I still have NO IDEA how much I'm paying per month) then lied and said I couldn't get full coverage unless my boyfriend brought pictures of the car in the next day. My boyfriend did, and was ignored for 45 minutes. As he was leaving, Robert told him to just email the picture in. I did so, with no reply for two days. When I finally got him on the phone he was incredibly rude to me and refused to help me. He transferred me to the carrier, who knew him by first name after I complained about 'the agent'. Apparently his bad reputation precedes him. They apologized and explained that he had lied to me, and put full coverage on the day I went in...which is against their policy. The carrier also told me I didn't need to deal with him any longer and to call them directly. I am filing a formal complaint with the corporate office. read more

Beware of a $300 broker fee. Wish I had known upfront. There's no refund for that fee if you decide to cancel your policy. Regretfully I should have done more research. You're better off saving from a reputable insurance company that doesn't charge for a 3rd party fee. read more
