I removed my in-ground spa and used Hector to clean my bricks, cut them, installed rebar, place and grouted the bricks. He also removed the plastic junk my patio cover people placed in my old patio cover post holes and installed rebar all on day one. Poured the concrete and continued my salt finish on day two. Today he came and swept up the salt, hosed it down and see the results! I had spoken to several handymen who didn't want to do this job as well as got a bid from another masonry company with a price I was shocked with who was recommended to me. I found and contacted Hector through Yelp, got his estimate which was a price I could afford as a newly retired person. It's beautiful! I'm so happy!

The challenge was to make it a comfortable lounge and entertaining space and provide safety for our young child. Ross came up with a genius design to satisfy our requests and his team was responsible and reliable. It was so much more practical to have the person designing it also be the one carrying out the project. Ross personally worked on a lot of the project as well as guided the team first-hand to make sure it was executed properly and completed to our requests. The pergola and Spanish steps are my favorite, with the 'French curve' of the concrete/grass as a close second. (Not pictured: a kid space, softscaping and good looking, useful solution to the intense slope.) Best of all, he stayed on budget! However, I read the consistent positive reviews of Moses and League of Our Own and decided to allow him to quote on a job. We were refinishing and re-homing a marble kitchen countertop and stripping and re-applying polyurethane to our manufactured wood floors. We had received another estimate from a "highly recommended" flooring company and the salesman had told us what we could and couldn't do. When Moses arrived, he informed me that he wasn't the salesman - he was the business!!! And, there is nothing better than dealing with the person who is actually doing the work. Moses corrected all of the previous misconceptions that we had and said that we could do it all - exactly as we wanted it! And he did!!! From carefully moving our furniture to meticulously checking and re-checking all of the irregularities in both the floor and the marble, he refused to stop until the project was perfect. Furthermore, Shawn and his crew were courteous, pleasant people, very respectful of my home and property, leaving the materials on site neat and stowed each day. These days, you're lucky if a contractor shows up, much less does what he says he's going to do. Haven went the extra mile to do everything just right. They maintained ongoing communication with us, and made an effort to please us at every turn. Paul the owner was on site everyday overseeing his crew and personally involved with the job. Between Paul and his foreman Giovani both being on site everyday, I had some 70 combined years of Masonry/Contractor experience at work. These guys were real craftsman and they took their time and the result exceeded my expectations! Paul and his crew were clean, professional and polite. Paul went above and beyond to do the job correctly and was very detailed orientated, which was refreshing. Paul came up with some great design ideas and it was those extra touches that really completed my outdoor kitchen. They insisted I needed weekly maintenance despite the fact that I have been getting bimonthly service for over 20 years. They then came up with a monthly fee of $245! If I wasn't so disgusted at the ludicrousness of the quote, I would have laughed out loud thinking they were surely joking.
