Should have known better to go back, especially when the people in front of us left in the middle of ordering. We tried again after our first family attempt at this location. We even brought out of town family who surprised us by a visit. Granted we went at 7:20, apparently too close to closing time (8pm). No rice, no pinto beans, and a really nasty looking queso. They wanted to make the thinnest burritos ever. The kid preparing our food even put too much sweet pork on by the eyeball, so he carefully took some away little by little. With two total ingredients, he folded up what looked like a flat enchilada, so I just cancelled our order. The management and training at this location is the problem! No reason why I go well over 6 months apart and the experiences are similarly terrible. My kids don't like Cafe Rio, but their service and portions are actually fair. Chipotle is better, and that's not saying much. We love the downtown Ogden & Logan locations, food and experience are much different. Please send your team there for training! In the meantime, I'll continue to take my family elsewhere. read more

We came in almost 30 minutes before closing. There were 3 people in front of us. It took 25 minutes to get our food. They skimped on the meat and beans for my burrito due to not having enough for the line of people behind us instead of getting more beans and meat. There were no less than 10 people working and only about 2 were doing any actual work for the patrons a couple others were cleaning and the other 6 or more were doing literally nothing but screwing off We asked for a small tortilla on the side along with tomatillo ranch dressing. We got to the cash register with no ranch and no tortilla. We asked and were told oh we don't have anymore because we are closed. They conveniently gave the last small tortillas to the people behind us who ordered after us. They very reluctantly gave me a large one when I asked and once they realized how disgusted I was with the service I had recieved. If your going to be open till 8. BE OPEN READY TO SERVE PATRONS TILL 8. Once you've taken care of everyone then you can clean up. Another great feature was the pre soaked wet trays they set our food on. They couldn't even bother to dry them off during the 20+ minute wait for our food to reach that end of the line. We eat at costa vida frequently this is the first (and last) time at this location. What was more disgusting is that there were TWO managers on duty and neither of them were doing anything to correct the absolute ridiculousness that was taking place in every aspect of this business. I seriously felt like we were on an episode of punk'd. Even worse, I think this is standard for this location. I have heard that this location was rated the lowest in the state. I should've listened and drove to a different location. The owners should be ashamed of this location and find new management. The service was on a completely unbelievable new level of bad. Wow just wow!!!! I heard what I assumed was a manager chewing out a young female employee today in front of everyone I was able to find out her name was Sam. It was very unprofessional. They gave small amounts of meat on my food on many occasions then if I want more I have to pay more?!?!?! Will not be coming back until they get there act straight. read more

Negative stars if possible. The only costa Vida that makes you sit in line for 40 minutes to make the wrong burrito and have employees that stand around and stare into nothingness while you wait. The Ogden location is 10x better tasting and they actually do their job. This isn't based on one visit either. This location may as well be shut down read more

The food was absolutely delicious! However, when making my order, they made the wrong thing and had to remake it. We ordered a small order of chips and she began making a large order. One employee did NOT seem happy to be there and didn't make eye contact at all when we were placing our order. There is tons of seating but if this was my first time at a Costa Vida I would not return. read more

This location is new... but obviously this franchise is not. The problem is that we know what the service and food should be and taste like. The service here has been horrible through the drive through. Whoever the grumpy girl is that is taking orders in that afternoon must go. Not only does she not care what you want on your food, she definitely doesn't want it to be correct. Third time with her to get it wrong. So you have to check your food and ask "hey can I get that pico I ordered". Also consistency of quality is definitely not up to other locations. I'll try the Cafe Rio down the street next time. read more

I ordered a cinnamon tortilla and they gave me a cinnamon tortilla with NO cinnamon, it's just cinnamon on a tortilla it's not that hard.

I've been to this location 2xs and have been so happy with the service and it's so open and clean. For sure love this location. The setup is so nice. The workers are friendly and my food was great read more
