The variety, customizing options they offer make you feel welcome to speak up for what you prefer =) They are cheaper and better in per-person Catering prices than Tucanos, Texas Road House, AND Chilis- A Taco Bar layout for under $60 that served 10 people (including 3 teenage boys)!!! However, it's better to go at off times (between 1-4) so you aren't waiting for up to 20-30 min . We tried to call in our order last time, but I couldn't understand the manager at all. So we made that trip the next day and pre-order dinner. Also, they quit serving beer and became more "kiddo" friendly, which is great for your families. I'm going to try and be fair with this review, but I didn't enjoy this place at all. The staff was friendly but that couldn't make up for the quality of food. My party had a shredded beef burrito, an order of nachos and a shrimp bowl. Everything was sub par. The food is made to order so the customer chooses what goes on each item. The burrito was served just a tad above luke warm. The shrimp bowl was nearly the consistency of a soup and not very appetizing, and the nachos were soggy after some very watery salsa was poured all over them by the girls preparing the order. Nearly all of the food was discarded in the trash. We didn't like that the meals were served in those aluminum foil bowls and the utensils were flimsy plastic. With so many placed to choose from on Eagle Road, I'm doubting I'll ever be back to give them another shot. read more

So there is but one thing holding back a 5 rating for Costa Vida and that is lack of beer and margarita's. Add that, and it is the best place I've eaten in a long time! The sweet pork burrito has this juicy goodness that is still with me. It is a sweet pepper sauce that I can't place other than it pleases the pallet on the front and back end. WOW is the understatement. The beef taco was fantastic too. It is odd to have loved the food so much and have so little to say. Go for lunch, go for dinner but by all means GO! They gave me a plate covered by a tortilla then some rice and beans and a generous portion of greens topped with shredded beef, guacamole and a small scoop of salsa and sour cream. Topped it off with a lime cilantro dressing...was delicious! Perfect combination of Mexican food and salad...satisfied my craving for both without making me feel heavy and full the way Mexican food often does. Ok, what is all the fuss about this place? Ordered two tacos today, one fish, one shrimp. $7.45 for the two. Yikes. But wait, gets better! First she dumps the frozen shrimp and fish on the grill, dumps a bunch of sauce on top -- ok -- then dumps a huge ladle of oil on top. It just kept running all over the grill. It was pretty gross.
