    Cheeseburger, animal style fries

Honestly I feel bad for anyone that has had a bad experience at an In n Out. Would I consider myself to be a cult follower? No, definitely not. But what makes it so good and a standout from other fast food joints? The quality, consistency, and overall customer service you get from the employees. Every time we go I get a number 2 (cheeseburger) with animal style fries, and my husband gets a number 3 (regular hamburger) animal style, with well done fries; comes with fountain drink which we mix the lite pink lemonade and sprite. I can tell you every time I've been here, the order is ALWAYS on point! I never think "oh the burger isn't cooked, my fries are soggy" etc etc. we went at 1 PM on a Friday and I think waited maybe 15 minutes. I'm sure it's a longer wait in the evenings or on weekends, but I felt this was completely reasonable. Seriously, if you had a bad experience I would just give it another chance!

I'm gonna preface this, with I Love, In-N-Out. When I found out they were coming to Boise. I was so excited. I think In-N-Out Burger is the best fast food burger on the market. I get the double double no onion add chopped chilies. Of course the service is always fast. You order they cook it. You drive past the window and they hand it to you and you can eat it in your car. The wait times have gone down so much since they're opening it's totally reasonable now and if you want expedited service, you can always order inside. So happy to have such an iconic burger joint in the treasure Valley! Oh hot tip order the fries soft and they taste a little bit better. I don't love In-N-Out fries, but the softer the better. And you can get animal style without onions and just pickles and it's way better!

Had the double double animal style with extra x crispy fries. It was pretty good. Wait time is hit or miss here. 20 mins for food today. The eating area was filthy there today. Just good everywhere. Counter, floors, you name it. Saw someone wipe one table but ones where people were seated but waiting for food. Burger was fresh but more on the salty side. Fries are freshly cut and were good considering they were freshly cut and not loaded with chemicals.

I have had In N Out once before in California, so I was excited to see they opened up a spot in Idaho. The inside is super cute inside with a lot of tables. Every single table was taken! The line to order wasn't too long but it did take a while to be ready because there were tons of customers. I ordered cheese fries and a cheeseburger. My husband ordered animal style fries and a triple cheese burger. The burger was pretty good and tasted fresh. The only reason this is a 4 star is because the fries were good but a little cold. I still liked them a lot. I did eat the burger first so I believe they may have gotten cold because of that. Overall the service was good and the food tasted great. I was surprised how fast it was considering it was super busy inside.

Great fast service and consistent, delicious burgers / fries / shakes at an incredible value !!! We drove down from Wa and N Idaho to come eat and enjoy the Boise / Meridian area .

Finally got my In-N-Out fix. Saturday morning at 9:45, no line and a handful of people already at tables. It was about 12 minutes before I got my food. Very clean restaurant, but one of the smaller ones I've been in. Wonderful customer service, both at the counter and helping out in the dining area. Employees were offering to get people's orders for them or chatting with a few regulars. Maybe not a typical breakfast spot. But I'd consider it a breakfast of champions! Drive-thru line didn't seem too long and looked to be moving pretty steady. By the time I left (10:10am-ish) the dining room was getting full. But still only a few people in line.

Double-double, In-N-Out's premier burger. But with cold cheese instead of melted on the grill.

I've waited more than 50 years for In-N-Out to come to Idaho. And for good measure I was part of a group of fans who camped out for more than 21 hours in the cold to be among the first customers at this location. Back in 2020, In-N-Out announced it would open its first Idaho restaurant within five years. And with the opening coming on Dec. 13, 2023 -- the California company's 400th store, they crushed their timeline. Unlike nearly every other burger chain, In-N-Out butchers its own meat and keeps all of its hamburger patties fresh. Their stores do not contain any freezers, ensuring the meat and produce remains fresh. I've now eaten at this restaurant twice and the burgers taste every bit as good here as the numerous locations I've visited in California, Utah and Nevada. Nothing is prepared until you order and it's piping hot when you get served. In-N-Out's menu has changed very little since the company was founded in 1948. They do one thing and they do it very well. The well-known secret menu allows you to customize your burger to the way you want it. I recommend getting your burger animal-style, in which they slather mustard on the patties on the grill, add pickles, an extra dab of their thousand island "spread" and grilled onions. I ask them to add chopped chiles, a whole slice of raw and grilled onions and sometimes cold cheese. Standard is cheese that melts while the patty is cooking. Many people complain about In-N-Out's fries. Personally, I think the standard fries are not cooked enough. I ask for them "light well." That adds about 40 extra seconds in the oil and makes them much better. You can also order fries well done or even light. I love a neapolitan shake, where they combine vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. Or ask for a root beer float. On the pop side, I like to combine lemonade and &-up, a lemon-Up. Service is stellar and has been a hallmark of In-N-Out since its founding days. Rule No. 1 is the customer is always right. If there's a problem, Rule No. 2 is consult Rule No. 1. They want to make everything right. So if something is off, let them know. They'll take care of it. With any In-N-Out opening comes long lines. Super long lines. My advice is to get there early, before the lines start forming. Although the stated business hours show a start time of 10:30 a.m., if they're ready they'll open the doors at 10 and you're free to come in and order. Today, on the second day of operation, they opened for business at 9:30 a.m. It's a great company. They pay the highest wages in fast food and offer employee benefits. The next two Idaho locations are planned for Boise and Nampa.

The day has arrived, and many will say it's sacrilegious to support a large chain coming to a smaller town. I say, bring on the double doubles! My wife grew up in Socal and one of my favorite things when visiting the area was getting my In-N-Out "fix". We arrived around noon and got in the walk-in line. Took only 30 mins to reach the counter and put in our order. Another 30 mins and we had our food. The staff are as always extremely nice and helpful. This was in the opening weeks so they had double staff there training the new local hires. Double Double, whole grilled onion, no lettuce or tomato, just how I like it! Animal style fries on the side and we have a killer meal. Good news, everything tasted exactly like I am used to having in CA. My only nitpick is the beef seemed over seasoned with salt, but again opening weeks and could be the staff still training. Once the craze dies down, we will be back for the occasional burger and fries. Enjoy!

Food was delicious as always! I feel like you can't ever go wrong with In-N-Out. The wait felt reasonable for the amount of people there. Service was super sweet and kind! Indoor and outdoor seating was comfortable and there was a fair amount of seating in both locations.

    Busy place!!

With its varied menu and delicious happy hour selection this place could be a favorite for a wide variety of the local population. Classy, welcoming with engaging staff. We also tried the Kobe sliders, but they fell short of the Chicken Sliders with their tender, juicy cuts of breast. The lineup of drinks are on full display at the bar and with scannable menus. This is a solid place for bringing friends or family for a gathering - yes, like the name suggests "Common". If anyone in your group cannot find a drink and meal to their liking, then you need to replace that person from your social circle or family. 2 hour free parking directly behind the building makes this location much better than the downtown businesses in the liberal ghetto of Boise where they will soon tax the air you breathe. Here, the pricing will not require you to take out a second mortgage as the Boise elites would have you do for eating in their downtown. It is no surprise that more quality dining places are opening in cities like Eagle, Caldwell, Nampa and Meridian where Idahoans can enjoy life.

My mom wanted a burger, specifically a Guacamole Bacon Burger and fries, and we were in the neighborhood, having just left Rave. We went through the drive-thru and placed the order. We were shocked at the total, which came to nearly $17.00, but understood that in this economy and with grocery prices, it was what it was. We arrived at the window and waited, and waited, and waited. I knew that they cooked everything to order, but it felt like an eternity had passed since paying. Finally, the order was ready and we went home. Not only was I disappointed with the burger, but I was upset that what we paid for and the time we spent did not equal what we received. The amount of Guacamole was like a spread, and there was no deft to that burger. For the amount that we paid, that burger should have been loaded. My mom made the most appropriate comment, " Honey, Somebody shrunk my burger!" I ordered a bunless double cheeseburger with jalapenos and grilled onions. Of course I got a side of fries and a vanilla shake to go with my husband's sammy. You gotta have fries with a burger! Since I recently got my new kidney, I have to be really careful with utensils, condiments and lids that are communal. I have to be so careful with germs that could possibly be on these common items. I told the sweet gal behind the counter about my new kidney. The gal was sweet and let me grab what I needed out of the boxes behind the counter that no one had access to. I appreciate that she was understanding and kind about my safety. Didn't question it one bit! I got my utensils, ketchup packets and napkins. My burger was so tasty! I was only able to finish half of it. So, next time I will definitely just get a single patty. There was plenty of cheese, jalapenos and grilled onions. The fries were hot, salty and crispy. I did enjoy the soggier fries, the soggy ones are my favorite. The fry sauce and ranch were both great dipping sauces for the fries. My husband did not share one sip of that vanilla shake and he finished the whole thing. I'll take that as a great shake! From the service to the food, everything was great! I appreciate the gal behind the counter for being so kind and considerate about my health needs when she didn't have to. The fries and burger that I had was killer! We were close to the area and we finally were able to visit and I'm sure glad we did. The restaurant is located in a nice shopping center on the corner of Eagle and Overland, immediately on the other side of 84. The location is nestled towards the back of the center and can easily be missed as it's tucked in the corner of a small lot. We were greeted with a huge smile and swift seating to a booth in the larger dining room area. Even though it was barely 11:30 am on a Saturday, the dining room was already filling with hungry customers and the kitchen was notably bustling. We had Kaitlyn as our server. She arrived with a sunny disposition and eagerness to get our orders going. Downside, due to cost, tomatoes are not available. I have to say, that kind of broke my heart a little...tomatoes, in my eyes, are a requirement for every burger. I ordered the Bleu Bacon single burger and hubby had the cheeseburger. We ordered a small fry (1/2 pound) for us to share. Food did take quite a while to come out, but our server did come by several times to check on us, refill drinks, and give us updates (apparently a large to-go order backlogged the kitchen). The burgers came out first. I was a little underwhelmed with the small burger plate and cheese that was obviously cold when added to the burger and had become a tad sweaty from being steamed instead of melted. I had little hope....but then I took my first bite. The Kaiser hamburger bun was soft, burger patty was nicely seasoned and the bleu cheese was punchy without being overwhelming. The bacon sung through. The fries quickly followed. We were surprised by the home cut style, thick and irregular...rustic and perfectly cooked. These suckers are huge. But with every fry, it was crunch-tender on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I really enjoyed our visit, but the place seemed to be a little understaffed. Several tables had plates stacked or cleaning supplies atop the tables. That aside, service was attentive and the food tasted great, even without the tomatoes.
