Anytime I'm in Boise this is a must go to! The options for potatoes are amazing and it's always so fresh! The burgers are good! I wish there were more beer/cider options. The staff were helpful and kind!

Loved the juicy burger to the fries to all the types of dipping sauces you get to try. The service was amazing and friendly. Definitely well-made food and customizable to how you like it. It is a nice place to hang out and chill with your friends and family !

When in Idaho potatoes have to be on the top of the list to try and what better place than the Boise Fry Co. A choice of potatoes from Russets, gold, red and or sweet. I choose the gold. Very crispy and fried not salted as they allow you to season them yourself with a great selection of seasonings. Additionally they have all homemade sauces. The garlic aioli was my favorite. Oh and the burger. I went with the classic no bun very nicely presented with all the fixings. Very good. Service was great as well.

Regular Gold, Home style Russet, classic burger add bacon, egg & cheese, and 43k different sauces. Amazing.

Traveling cross country from FL to OR, I was finally able to fulfill my lifelong dream of reaching the Potato Mecca, Boise, ID, where The Boise Fry Company made all my dreams come true. This is my "World's Largest Ball of Twine," and it was everything I dreamt it would be. Not only was the food amazing, but the staff were friendly and funny. We were there around noon on 8/19/25. Thank you, Boise Fry Company.

My family was passing through Boise on our way to Seattle and decided to stop here for lunch. I wanted to try a place with fries since I knew Idaho was known for potatoes. I was sold on this place since they had 6 kinds of potatoes to choose from with different types of cuts. The weather was surprisingly kind of warm for a state so far north but it was still a bit nice outside so my mom wanted to sit outside. I got the beef yumami burger which includes sautéed onions and teriyaki glazed mushrooms. My parents and brothers tried the bison burger and they all liked it. When we placed our orders, we asked for our burgers to be cooked medium rare. The lady at the front told the guy at grill to cook them medium rare in a low voice and he didn't seem to hear, she didn't even tell him to cook them medium rare for the last 3 burgers. All of our burgers ended up being medium/medium well despite us requesting medium rare. I felt like I would've enjoyed my burger more if they cooked it correctly. We walked in during rush hour and they seemed like they were just bulk grilling patties before orders were even placed. For the fries, we got the gold home style fries, red curly fries, and yam fries. The gold fries were buttery and the red fries were my favorite. The yam fries were soggy. The fried overall weren't warm or fresh, they pre-fry all of them. We wanted to try their purple fries but they already sold out on them. They only have certain potatoes available each day and they have pre selected cuts that you cannot change. They have a variety of dips and salts to season your fries. My family liked their blueberry ketchup. This place is exactly like what some reviews say: you're ordering fries with a side of a burger. Even though the fries weren't the freshest, they were still good and I definitely see their potential.

Personally I love Boise fry company. I like their burgers and that you can get the mini size. Fries are always fresh and crispy. And I love picking my sauces. Always a good go to!

    The horrible milkshake
    Joseph D.

Well I ordered a burger. They forgot the cheese .. lol they charged me $1.33 for a slice of cheese . The chocolate milkshake is horrible. Tastes like IGA ice cream. It's $5.50. I travel alot and I have to say this tops the second worst milkshake of all time. -- Saving this until I taste the burger. I'll be honest. One of the worst burgers I've had as well. I had to add some salt and pepper to this. It just lacks so much flavor. Highly disappointed, will not return. It's really not that hard to cook a good burger. Something told me I was making a bad decision by choosing this restaurant on a day. I was really hungry. I wish I had followed my mind and chose something else.

    Gf classic burger combo

As a celiac, it's not common getting gluten free fries. I was so happy to find that the fries here are gluten free, along with having the option for a gluten free bun... AND all of their dipping sauces are gluten free as well. Will definitely be coming back

Classic bison with red home style fries and garlic aioli...heaven!

Man I was craving a burger and some great Idaho fries. Had a bison classic and some red shoestrings which were incredible! I don't go here enough and am always so impressed with their quality and selection of potatoes. Burgers on the side!!

Date of visit: 3/6/22 This was something that we were looking forward to on our trip to Boise but it was a bit underwhelming. Not terrible, but not great, either. My fiancé is a big fry fan, but I am very picky about my fries, but was looking forward to the sweet potato fries. Unfortunately, at 4 pm on a Sunday, they were all out of SP fries and I got the last order of yam fries (sorry, y'all!). And they were a bit of a letdown, a bit undercooked and despite all of the sauce and salt options, there was really only one that would go with them: cinnamon and garlic. They should really have a marshmallow or brown sugar option for these suckers. Despite their claim to fame, we actually preferred the burgers to the fries. They were well-cooked and I thought the garlic aioli was fantastic. The buns, however, were no bueno. I would have preferred store brand buns over these puppies. A bright spot was the staff, who were very friendly and patient to us newbies! You could certainly do worse, food-wise, but they couldn't quite deliver on their promise and the expectations for our inaugural visit to Boise.

With its varied menu and delicious happy hour selection this place could be a favorite for a wide variety of the local population. Classy, welcoming with engaging staff. While the selections of taps are diverse and smart for diners, it is the kitchen that is the real star here. We tried the Happy Hour fare (3-5 pm). See the pics for details. We also tried the Kobe sliders, but they fell short of the Chicken Sliders with their tender, juicy cuts of breast. The lineup of drinks are on full display at the bar and with scannable menus. This is a solid place for bringing friends or family for a gathering - yes, like the name suggests "Common". If anyone in your group cannot find a drink and meal to their liking, then you need to replace that person from your social circle or family. 2 hour free parking directly behind the building makes this location much better than the downtown businesses in the liberal ghetto of Boise where they will soon tax the air you breathe. Here, the pricing will not require you to take out a second mortgage as the Boise elites would have you do for eating in their downtown. It is no surprise that more quality dining places are opening in cities like Eagle, Caldwell, Nampa and Meridian where Idahoans can enjoy life.

My mom wanted a burger, specifically a Guacamole Bacon Burger and fries, and we were in the neighborhood, having just left Rave. We went through the drive-thru and placed the order. We arrived at the window and waited, and waited, and waited. I knew that they cooked everything to order, but it felt like an eternity had passed since paying. Finally, the order was ready and we went home. Not only was I disappointed with the burger, but I was upset that what we paid for and the time we spent did not equal what we received. The amount of Guacamole was like a spread, and there was no deft to that burger. For the amount that we paid, that burger should have been loaded. I ordered a bunless double cheeseburger with jalapenos and grilled onions. Of course I got a side of fries and a vanilla shake to go with my husband's sammy. You gotta have fries with a burger! Since I recently got my new kidney, I have to be really careful with utensils, condiments and lids that are communal. I have to be so careful with germs that could possibly be on these common items. I told the sweet gal behind the counter about my new kidney. The gal was sweet and let me grab what I needed out of the boxes behind the counter that no one had access to. I appreciate that she was understanding and kind about my safety. Didn't question it one bit! I got my utensils, ketchup packets and napkins. My burger was so tasty! I was only able to finish half of it. So, next time I will definitely just get a single patty. There was plenty of cheese, jalapenos and grilled onions. The fries were hot, salty and crispy. I did enjoy the soggier fries, the soggy ones are my favorite. The fry sauce and ranch were both great dipping sauces for the fries. My husband did not share one sip of that vanilla shake and he finished the whole thing. I'll take that as a great shake! From the service to the food, everything was great! I appreciate the gal behind the counter for being so kind and considerate about my health needs when she didn't have to. The fries and burger that I had was killer! We were close to the area and we finally were able to visit and I'm sure glad we did. The restaurant is located in a nice shopping center on the corner of Eagle and Overland, immediately on the other side of 84. The location is nestled towards the back of the center and can easily be missed as it's tucked in the corner of a small lot. We were greeted with a huge smile and swift seating to a booth in the larger dining room area. Even though it was barely 11:30 am on a Saturday, the dining room was already filling with hungry customers and the kitchen was notably bustling. We had Kaitlyn as our server. She arrived with a sunny disposition and eagerness to get our orders going. Downside, due to cost, tomatoes are not available. I have to say, that kind of broke my heart a little...tomatoes, in my eyes, are a requirement for every burger. I ordered the Bleu Bacon single burger and hubby had the cheeseburger. We ordered a small fry (1/2 pound) for us to share. Food did take quite a while to come out, but our server did come by several times to check on us, refill drinks, and give us updates (apparently a large to-go order backlogged the kitchen). The burgers came out first. I was a little underwhelmed with the small burger plate and cheese that was obviously cold when added to the burger and had become a tad sweaty from being steamed instead of melted. I had little hope....but then I took my first bite. The Kaiser hamburger bun was soft, burger patty was nicely seasoned and the bleu cheese was punchy without being overwhelming. The bacon sung through. The fries quickly followed. We were surprised by the home cut style, thick and irregular...rustic and perfectly cooked. These suckers are huge. But with every fry, it was crunch-tender on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I really enjoyed our visit, but the place seemed to be a little understaffed. Several tables had plates stacked or cleaning supplies atop the tables. That aside, service was attentive and the food tasted great, even without the tomatoes.

There was food all over the floor and on the tables along with dirty dishes. A bottle of cleaner was left on top of an in cleaned table, which seemed crazy to me. Why would you go to all the trouble of bringing a chemicals out to clean a table and just leave it there? In addition to the less than clean dining area, the restrooms were dirty too. And one final note...maybe servers should consider NOT wearing their PJ's to work. It's just off-putting.
