Definitely recommend if you haven't been, which if you haven't yet at this point, I'm not sure where you've been. We rolled into Provo about two hours before this location closes. Walking into the restaurant, it seemed clean, however, it was quite warm inside and the line was long. First. The parking is HORRENDOUS. They seem so wrapped up in keeping byu students from parking that it's impossible to find. They need a better sign. Something that says "parking in back" or something. Second, the music needs turned DOWN. you have to sit and scream at the poor employees and repeat yourself repeatedly because it's so darn loud. I don't know if they're trying to drown out the sound of the arcade but it is not working. Third, this was my main problem, we were paying for our food and they let the person behind us skip in front of our two other meals. So there's a tray in-front of the register with our open food and the customer behind us kind of just pushed us aside. Then the cashier handed them their food OVER our food, and proceeded to take their cash payment over our food. Then they came over with our other two meals and tried to holler over the cashier and other customers conversation to figure out what salsa and such we wanted on the rest of our meals. Needless to say I didn't get what I wanted because I couldn't see or hear them. I've never been to a fast food restaurant that allowed someone behind you to skip ahead halfway through your order. And I didn't appreciate the potential of all those germs and such falling on to our food from another transaction being done over it. Two stars for the friendly guy who made our food. read more

This was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. When I went in, the staff took forever just to take my order. On top of that, they were casually throwing around the F-bomb in front of customers, which was completely unprofessional. When my food was finally ready, the employee literally threw it onto the counter, causing it to splatter all over me and my daughter. Absolutely unacceptable. To make matters worse, the drinks machine was poorly attended and messy, which just added to the frustration. I expected much better from this location. I love Costa Vida, in fact, I preder it after years of eating Café Rio. However, I made the mistake of believing an online order for pick up would be done on time. When I got here, they were about 12 minutes behind, so had several people waiting in front of me. Lots of people working here and it was a busy night, but they didn't have a solution for the fact that they were way behind on the online orders. three of the seven employees were handling the in person orders, with only one person trying to handle online orders. She was great, but the system was not helping and Costa Vida did not realize the importance of fulfilling their promised, and already paid for orders, even if it meant in person people had to wait a little longer. read more

Im a VERY frequent costa Vida goer, an enthusiast if you will. I've been to many locations many times, and this one is sub-par. For example, every time I see Anthony the shift lead take my order I groan inside. He is very performative and extravagant with how he prepares your food, and the portion sizes will always be smaller than necessary. The same is true with many workers here, go to the Orem location and you will be satisfied. That being said costa Vida is costa Vida so the food is still great. read more

Let me be honest, what the world needs is more Costa Vida! This is one of our favorite family spots. With five young children it's hard to find a place that works for everyone. There is something for everyone at Costa Vida and with all of the available options we can customize and try something new or go back to our favorites. I'm a big fan of the mango chicken salad with the house dressing. It hits the spot and there is usually a little extra. My wife and I usually get a steak burrito as well. For the kids, we usually get chicken tacos. The kids meals are great. For $3.99 it fills them up. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. Their stores are clean and well maintained. I eat here weekly and I find that the servers are happy and helpful. For a fun family experience I give it five stars! read more

I go to Costa Vita Restaurants all the time. This was my first visit to this one. I ordered a Baja Bowl for me and a child's enchilada meal for my wife. The portions were so small, I could not believe it!! These were the stingiest portions of food that I have ever received from any Costa Vida restaurant. The meals did NOT even come close to matching the photos on the menu board at all. My wife said that he laid three tiny strings of meat into her enchilada. We left there very dissatisfied even though I asked the cashier to try and add a little more food to the half-size portion of my Baja Bowl that the server carefully fixed to save company money. My wife, daughter, and friend all ate here on Friday October 14, 2022, and each had the sweet pork salad. All three of them suffered severe vomiting and diarrhea that started about 24 hours after eating. The pork salad is the only thing that the three of them had in common in their meals. The illnesses lasted for about 24 hours for each of them, as well. What an awful experience for these poor ladies. read more

You know the usual debate when your friends suggest to go to eat Mexican-American food: Costa Vida or Cafe Rio? As somebody who used to be 100% pro Cafe Rio, let me tell you why I changed my mind. The cinnamon tortillas. They're game changing. And they've changed the way I see these two restaurants-that is something you can never order from Cafe Rio. With the kid's meal, you get a mini-version of everything you normally order, plus a drink and cinnamon tortilla. It's a perfect light dinner if it's late at night, or scrumptious snack to share. Seperately, cinnamon tortillas go for less than a dollar and they're worth every penny. I can't speak more highly of this suprisingly addictive essert. Besides that, Costa Vida has really made some great changes to the building and atmosphere inside, has a great selection of Mexican sodas, and great prices (no more paying extra for grilled chicken on your salad!) Plus, you can find great deals on their app. Just for downloading it for the first time you can get $4 off your purchase! So I tried this for the first time today, I got a grilled chicken burrito and tried their various sauces picking their spiciest one for my burrito. The chicken burrito has a interesting flavor since their spicy sauce has a sweet taste to it and their chicken almost has a teriyaki chicken flavor to it like Waba Grill. Costa Vida is pretty American with it's flavors and isn't a authentic Mexican restaurant by any stretch but that doesn't mean it's not enjoyable. It's not my favorite Mexican food here in Utah county but it's not bad or anything. Just very sweet and not spicy at all. read more

Have been here a lot. It is very similar to Cafe Rio (have you have heard from many other reviews). We usually cam here instead of Cafe Rio because it is less crowded and they have good specials. Every day has a different special, but if you are a student you can pick any special any day. I always order the sweet pork salad. I like that they have the option for a regular or small salad. Cafe Rio does not. This is sooooo yummy. This location is inside the bowling alley. They have an entrance from the bowling alley and one on its own on the street side of the building. read more
