We came here upon the recommendation of my brother. I'm glad we did! They have an array of healthy vs. non healthy options and all are great. We ordered the chicken sandwich, buffalo cheese rosemary fries, sweet potato fries, and the beet salad. The chicken sandwich was pretty good, with a thick cut of chicken, though it could have used a bit more seasoning. The sweet potato fries come in one side and are crinkle cut - very good, though I wish they had normal crinkle cut fries too. The regular size rosemary fries was a bit on the smaller side, which is why we had to get another side of fries. The disappointing thing with the fries is that they make it sound like the fries are topped with the melted blue cheese, but it actually was just a side of sauce that came cold, which was unexpected. The beet salad was pretty good but could have used more vegetables on top of the greens. After you order, they come to your seat with the food. Overall, it is a big space that accommodate many customers with outdoor seating as well. We enjoyed our time here but there could be some improvements with the food. The food is a bit on the pricier side for fast casual, but the quality is good and worth it.

This Cubby's is incredible!!! I come here often to study, and the staff has started to recognize me, which already says so much about their customer service. One of the staff, Rafael, came over and handed me a Rice Krispie treat just out of kindness because he noticed how much I study there. It genuinely made my day and showed how thoughtful the team is. The food is always great, the space is so clean, and the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. This location deserves all the praise!

The first bite had a waterfall of delectable juice going down my hand. Taking a look at the ingredients and the meat, this isn't any fast food burger, this is quality. The burger itself made me forget how much money I paid for it because it was just that good! I love that the menu has pictures of their food and that the menu isn't huge. You know they specialize in each of their menu items by how your taste buds go crazy biting down into your food. I don't come here often because it is expensive but when I do come it is a treat! The fries were unique and delicious, I do recommend the food here because it'll make you dream of eating your meal a second time! The workers here were polite and diligent with cleaning and doing their job. The restaurant is clean and is constantly being cleaned. The place has a unique style to it and it really changes the game. I will come back and hopefully soon!

Amazing food! The ambience is clean, cheerful and the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming! I highly recommend the tri-tip sandwiches with sweet potato fries and the milkshake.

Came to Cubby's with work colleagues. They have lots of interesting choices. Service was quick which was nice because we were on a schedule. Both my friends got the Dragonslayer and the Buffalo Bleu Cheese Fries. They enjoyed both items. I got the Cockadoodledoo and sweet potato fries. The fries were good very crispy. The chicken however was on the dry side. Usually not too big of deal, but for the price it was disappointing. That being said I would try again with a different item. The Beet and Goat Cheese Salad looks intriguing.

Amazing place! The food is amazing! It is super clean and the staff is super nice and helpful!

I have to say that this is a very disappointing outcome. I had a tri-tip sandwich and fries -- close to $20. It wasn't bad and it wasn't good. The roll sandwich with served on was below average. The sandwich had only some chunks of meat with the barbecue sauce. Again, only average. I can't see any reason ever to want to eat at this restaurant again, and I have no idea why it is so popular in SLC.

The women of the family love Cubby's. They always like their salads. I always seem to find some thing I like as long as they stay away from the tri-tip sandwich. That sandwich overall has made me sad too many times in the past to try it again This time around we tried a few items that were new to us and left a very happy. Houdini burger - 4 stars - overall good. Tasty and will try again, but would not go out of my way for it. Three Cheese Grilled Cheese - 5 stars - more than just a grilled cheese. There are a lot of tasty things in there. Pomegranate Citrus Kale - 5 stars - kill in general makes me sad. Those who are willing to try it said it was refreshing. The overall four stars are due to be repeatedly disappointing tri tip sandwich and that they are asking me to spend almost $5 on fries

The restaurant was fairly busy, and despite not having reservations, we were seated immediately. I started with the Yanabah iced tea ($5), a Navajo herbal tea. It was light, refreshing, and not overly herbal. We shared a wedge salad to start, which came with a chipotle mayo dressing that was excellent. It had more heat than the chipotle flavors I am typically used to, and I really enjoyed the extra kick. For my entrée, I ordered the Navajo taco with BBQ pork ($15)? which was outstanding. The taco is served on freshly made fry bread that was fluffy, slightly sweet, and had subtle honey notes. It was piled with a generous portion of perfectly cooked pulled pork coated in a sweet glaze, along with some fresh vegetables and herbs that added both crunch and more flavor, with chipotle sauce on the side. The fry bread was fresh and flavorful, the pork was tender, and the combination of herbs, vegetables, and sauce created a great balance of sweet, savory, and spicy flavors. Black Sheep Café offers a unique menu inspired by Native American and Southwestern flavors, and I wish I had more time to come back and try more of the menu. If you're in Provo, I highly recommend.

But then came the steak, which was flat-out the best I've had in years. No notes. Here's the thing though, I'm not a gnocchi person. Never have been. Our server talked me into it anyway, and I'm genuinely grateful. It's a short rib and stew situation with gnocchi that somehow hits every note perfectly. Total convert now. And the s'mores pie to close out the night? Simply perfect. Don't skip it. The service was great too, our server clearly knew the menu inside and out and steered us exactly right.

However, we did have one drink server where we had some issues with, but our main waitress was lovely. For starters, our table shared the baked ricotta, balsamic glazed brussel sprouts, and bread rolls with honey and butter. The brussel sprouts were good, but the bread rolls were my favorite! They were so incredibly soft and pillowy. They honestly didn't even need the bread and butter! I was most excited for the baked ricotta, but unfortunately it was a disappointment for me. Ricotta is a very mild cheese to begin with, but I tasted absolutely zero flavor from it and it was mostly just adding a textural element to the bread. The fig walnut guanciale jam was overpoweringly sweet and the guanciale was also nonexistent. Overall, what I expected to be a flavorful combination, fell pretty flat and bland for me. Onto the main, I got to try the Block burger and the house made gnocchi. The burger was a standard burger, nothing too crazy. I was surprised the patty was actually moist because it was cooked well done. The same jam from the baked ricotta was used, so wasn't a big fan of it because again the overwhelmingly sweet didn't do much to elevate the burger. I also missed any flavor from the truffle cheese sauce. So it was a pretty average burger. My gnocchi definitely tasted better than it looked. Another friend also got the same dish and it looked like they just split our portions in half and served it on two separate plates. In general, I wasn't a big fan of this dish. The braised short rib was very tender, but the whole plate sat in a pool of salty sauce. I couldn't really make out any other flavors. The scoop of crème fraiche tasted exactly like sour cream and was not the consistency that I expected. The gnocchi's were made well, but I prefer mine a little firmer. However, this is complete personal preference. Overall, service was good, but food fell severely short of what I expected. I was so excited for all of these elevated flavors and ingredients, but, sadly, none of them came through.

The server was attentive to my needs, took enough time to have conversation, but also left me to enjoy my meal. Being a restaraunt in a hotel the decor was pretty plain. Open with tables closer together than most would prefer. I really wanted the buffet to get started. Most companies are not as generous as mine giving me a $25 allowance for breakfast, but even at that a $22 buffet does not leave room to leave the server a reasonable tip. They should take this into consideration when pricing. There are many other breakfast buffets that are priced much more favorably and usually have a bigger selection. I opted for the western omlette. It was served with potatos which were fine. The omlette taste fine but was really scrambled eggs with ham and veggies mixed in, cooked, then folded in half and topped with cheese. An omlette with the veggies and cheese stuffed inside a thin egg base is always so much better. Hotel food is usually about convenience, so I got what I expected, decent service, acceptable food and a price point higher than average.
