I've been meaning to review this pizza spot for sometime now. For local good pizza this the place. Especially if you don't want to travel downtown. It's Jersey style as mentioned in the window but certainly is right next to NY style and glad I found something comparable. Service is great and there's a few tables to dine in. I do have to mention their delicious Stromboli. I got chicken and onions being it already comes with cheese, I added two toppings. 4.5/5. A very nice hole-in-the-wall vibe to the place that gives South Savannah a great pizza choice. The wings were a bit on the small side but had a great char to them. The Tomato Basil Pizza was delicious and with a side of marinara sauce for the crust. The crust seemed appropriate for Jersey style like they advertise as the crust was thin and on the crispy side. I did order online which said ready in 45 minutes but by the time I picked up, I think the order was ready a good little bit before that time so wasn't hot hot by the time I got home 10 mins away. I was visiting Savannah and craving Pizza. I saw Costanzo's Pizzeria and thought , I'll give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised , the lady who made my pizza was very friendly and courteous. Walked in and looked over the menu since it was our first time visiting. While asking about the pizzas at the front counter, the guy behind the counter wasn't speaking and I had to ask if he spoke because I can sign for communication. This little pizza place has delicious pizza. The price is right, it's around $15.99 for a large cheesy New York style hot fresh pizza. There is a few seats outside and a cute little inside. Everything was fine, but nothing stood out. Delivery wasn't fast, but not slow. Pizza sauce was ok, but not memorable. Crust was a bit doughy/chewy, but not terrible. All in all, kinda... meh. Stopped in at the recommendation of a friend. Great NY style pizza. It's sold by the whole pie or by the slice. The crust was excellent. We also tried the cheesecake and it was delicious too. They are now open for dine in as well as pick up. My only complaint would be that it was uncomfortably warm inside. If it was just an ac issue today- I hope they get that fixed. I would characterize the pizza here as "good." You can get by the slice, whole pie, and stromboli or calzone. I ordered a 16-inch veggie pie, and $24.00 seemed a bit much for that. In my opinion, the crust was rolled to the proper thickness and was cooked well, not burned but not doughy at all. This is an American neopolitian pizza, not the "wood fired" flatbread nonsense. That said, the cust was sorta cracker-ish, dry, I think. Like the dough needed more olive oil. Reminded me of the crust on a tombstone frozen pizza. It just lacked any kind of chew. Crisp and well prepared, just dry. The woman working the shop, all by herself, was noticeably exasperated to be taking on the task in its entirety. Admittedly, it was too much for one person to take on, but she was a bit short and less than courteous to anyone who came in. Two of my friends went to this pizza place to get a pepperoni pizza the other night. They didn't finish the pizza so they brought it home to two of my other friends. When they woke up the next morning, two of my friends who ate the pizza had terrible food poisoning. They would not stop throwing up and had a terrible fever. I immediately called the pizza place to let them know that they probably have some bad ingredients and they should check what they are using to make sure it wasn't expired and getting other people sick. When I called, I got redirected to two other people. I told the "boss" the situation and he proceeded to mansplain to me that my friends didn't get food poisoning from the pizza because my other two friends didn't get violently ill. Our family has been passing by Costanzo's quite a bit lately. We are also big on pizza. Friday night dinner was an easy decision. They have a $10, 18 inch, one-topping carry out deal. We phoned in for a pepperoni pizza and cheese bread. They make a NJ style pizza, which my husband automatically knew meant it would be thin. I bet you know which one of us is the pizza connoisseur in the relationship. I like thin, so I enjoyed our pizza! The cheese bread was very cheesy, but it's not really my thing and I didn't want to be distracted from the main dish. Both items came out to $17 and took about 40 minutes to make. The crust is phenomenal the topping and sauce are great. The price is fantastic. My wife and kids loved it. (That's usually the biggest tell, they see more pizza picky than I am). This was my first time trying it and I was very impressed. The breadsticks are perfect. Right chewiness and flavor. The sausage pizza was by far my favorite is the three single topping varieties that I tried. They had a special that was 2 large pizzas, breadsticks and 2L soda for 23$. Tried this place for carry out. The person answering the phone says, "hello" like I was calling a personal number. I was confused at first and thought I disked the wrong number. I ordered a 18" supreme and a large house salad with blue cheese. The supreme pizza is ok, nothing to rave about. The salad is pretty sad and gross. The "toppings" look dried out like the salad was made a few days ago and placed in a cooler. The croutons are soggy. The salad dressing was room temp. The lettuce is just ice berg and they cover the top of the salad with cheese. I normally order from Nicky's because their food is superb and fresh. Unfortunately they closed and I gave this place a try. Dominoes is better. Probably won't order again. read more

It took roughly 20 minutes to get our two slices of pizza that were covered in grease. I waded off as much as I could with paper towels. It's too soggy to really eat normally, so using a knife and fork is mandatory. The serving sizes are quite large and the price is very reasonable, but I definitely believe that there are better options. If you're looking for a quick meal, I'd recommend visiting during off hours as now the wait for anything except the two varieties they already have made is about 25 minutes. We placed an order to go and picked this pizza up! This joint has great New York style pizza! We have tried a handful of places in Savannah, and this is one of the best ones! It really reminded us of the $1 slices you can get in NYC! It's cheap, good, pizza! Prices are great you get two huge pizzas for $19!!
