This is one busy, busy Costco, but also one of the best in the area. I only shop a handful of items at Costco as regular, staple items. One of those is the Costa Rican french roast coffee, which is roasted on premises - try to pass that delicious odor without wanting a cup! As with all Costco locations, the butchers and meats in general are of superior quality - note the packaging as the cuts of beef are almost all "choice" rather than the regular drub you find at supermarkets. I also buy other bulk items here like the Kirkland brand balsamic vinegar and jugs of olive oil, the unroasted (raw) almonds and bottles of vitamins and over-the-counter drugs (good prices on generic ibuprofen). The quality of everything here is in general quite good, but do some comparison shopping. I've found most of the prices reasonable and below retail, but above the typical sale-price. It's still great to be able to buy paper items in bulk, provided you have a place to store what's unused until it's needed, all in one location. I also like the snack counter - how can you beat a polish sausage with a drink for $150? The store is clean and well maintained. The staff here is some of the most friendly you will find and super helpful. The only negative with this location is that it's busier than most, so it's very crowded even below peak times. I avoid coming here during weekends. They only accept American Express and debit cards, along with cash/check. They also have one of the best return policies I've ever seen and I've never had a problem with returning anything. read more

Your typical Costo (with a liquid store!). I shop here and the location in Brookhaven. Always packed on the weekends. Parking lot at near capacity. Long and unorganized lines waiting for gas. But I can't give up on Costco. They have amazing deals every month and customer service is great. My only wish: they need to follow Sams and have a scan n go option. Why shop at any other place when you can buy items that can last you a lifetime (or at least, what seems like forever). I just signed up for a membership so I can finally come without relying on my friends with memberships to sneak me in (ok, not sneak, but escort me). I also signed up for the American Express credit card that would give me cash back rewards and rebates to cover my 2-Year Executive Membership fees. I love free samples. We came after work on a weekday and found a few samples to alleviate our dinner hunger pangs. There are a lot of items to buy in bulk, from veggies to meats. My favorite has to be the coffee roaster. They toast their own coffee, unique to any other Costco in town! Buy your coffee in bulk to last a single person a lifetime... Not all Costco's have gas stations, but this one does! I had a very embarrassing and unprofessional experience at this Costco. I went to Costco with a friend that has an executive Costco membership. I am a manager for a very big corporation and we were going to get food for our company event. We get to check out after spending several hours shopping. Gloria was the cashier and she scanned my friend's Costco card and kept her card because my friend had a mobile Costco card too and as Gloria stated "you can only have one or the other". Then after ringing up all of our food, I go to scan the company's credit card and another worker comes from behind... might've been a manager. (A African American woman with blonde braids and I believe she had glasses) saying we can't purchase our items because the card isn't in the membership holders name. She was very rude and passive aggressive about it and we legitimately did not know that was a thing at Costco and we explained that and the fact that I'm a manager of a major corporation, spending a lot of money and she was still dismissive and not caring. We spoke to the store manager Eddie and he informed us this is NOT the policy to have the payment name match the membership holders name. I also wanted to see what Costco was about because I was thinking of buying a Costco membership for myself . This whole experience was EMBARRASSING and UNPROFESSIONAL. This Costco is ... well ... a Costco. It sells just about most of the Costco items found in other Costco stores. Just because it's a Costco, where they sell in bulk, doesn't mean that they sell everything at the lowest prices. Sometimes the same items are less expensive on a per unit (per oz, each, etc.) at a competing supercenter or grocery store. This location is physically closer to where I live, so I go here when traffic isn't bad in the Perimeter Center area. Otherwise, I'll go to the Brookhaven Costco, which is a bigger store. I don't have a reason to buy a lot of things in bulk, so I mostly buy paper products, produce, frozen foods here and cheap casual clothes. Oh, and the gasoline prices are lower than at regular gas stations most of the time. There are a few membership programs at different annual membership price points, so you have to determine which membership is best for you. There are also a tire center and a liquor store, and Costco even has program where you can purchase a motor vehicle without having to negotiate the price at the car dealership. This location sometimes runs out of inventory, and I don't think they open up enough checkout lines when it's necessary. read more

Like any other COSTCO with the exception of this being in a state that they sell Alcohol in their stores. I was visiting and forgot my card so I joined "the line" which I wish would have been more descriptive, however, I had to make sure I was in the right line and a lovely woman directed me to the correct employee by name lol. I was in an out with a copy of my membership in minutes...thank you pleasant employee. I then headed over to the separate liquor area to the left side of the store. I like that it is separate so you can get in and out quickly but there was no "REAL" line so people were cutting. I personally could have cared less, however, somebody else may not have been so nice. My trip was quick and my "driver" arrived shortly after my purchase from the gas station which if course is what I love most about this Costco...gas, liquor and bulk toilet paper not in that order. read more

Review of food court: SOFT SERVE ICECREAM: 5 We've tried both the very berry and the chocolate/vanilla swirl, both were rich and sweet (but not too sweet)! It also stays ice creamy instead of melting too fast - so we can take our time working on it! CHURROS: 4.3 They pre-make it so it sits on the shelf waiting for you to buy it. I've had fresh-off-the-frying-pot churros from Paris, so it's kind of difficult for me to give churros 5s. It's also 1 churros for $1, which sounds a bit expensive but their churros are pretty long. CHICKEN BAKE: 3 I think the ingredients or baking procedure has changed since the first time i've ever tried a chicken bake. The chicken bakes now are pretty dry, and the the ratio of bread to filling is 2:1. The ends are pretty crusty too, so no soft dough for you to chew on. SERVICE: 5 They are fast and efficient! Love this Costco!! I have always found anything I'm looking for, from food to clothing, prescriptions to photos. I would warn that it does get really busy on Saturdays, but as I work close by I plan my trips for after work during the week and have not had any issues with lack of parking or extra long lines. I also like that they have expanded their offerings at the snack bar. In addition to the standard hot dogs and pizza they now offer a yummy hot ham and cheese sandwich and a spicy chicken salad. In the past couple of years they have also added churros, which seem to be a big hit. As far as I can tell, they have not taken anything away (i.e. ice cream sundae, pulled barbecue sandwich, etc. For those that have not been here in a while, I'd like to point out that they now accept VISA for payment and you can you your charge card at the snack bar as well. read more

It is not hard for me to write a positive review of this store. I love so many things about it. Large wide isles packed full of things I need and or want. High levels of organic and GMO free goods is a huge hit with me. Tasty samples the majority of the time. Customer service can be hit and miss but usually it is more of a hit. The parking lot often feels like a version of the Hunger Games as people race around to find a spot. Going during the week if possible is the solotuion.Highly recommended read more

This is my first Costco after breaking up with the Costco in Kennesaw (I moved ITP and we had to divorce, miss you K-Costco!) and we are pretty much in love. She has liquor, tires, eye exams, those super huge TV's that dudes in Under Armor attire just gaze at forever. Yeah, there's popcorn (I think), 25 cent water and the Cool Air people at the exit but this Costco's secret weapon is the (only called this in Georgia for some reason) package store, nothing is packaged or a package so can we update this to reflect we aren't living in the confederacy anymore? Ladies and Gentlemen, do you love liquor? Because Costco loves you back, baby. Moving on to the food court.. Kinda not a fun place to eat. Lots of wholesale shoppers judging me for eating at the world's favorite indoor picnic grove. Hard plastic fake picnic tables with, and there is no logic for this, umbrellas. As comfortable as a colonoscopy, aesthetic equivalent to a bag of Purina and always bonus sauce, cheese, schmutz, previous occupant sweat, spilled soft drink glue, less space between tables than occupants on a Japanese subway. Did you say free refills? Hell yes! Want to drown in Diet Coke? Step this way.. Samples. Can't say much more than, HELP.YOUR.SELF. The downside here is they don't sample the really good stuff like wine or garden hoses. If I'm going to invest $40 in a hose, I want to see real world hose capabilities. And motor oil, why the hate? Can't decide between 10W-40 and 5W-20 unless I see a fully functional cutaway of a Ford Raptor engine gulping each viscosity. Why are the DirecTV people still asking what Costco is doing for DirecTV for members? I have more DirecTV than 10 people can watch - on a TV, on an iPad, in Tattletale's bathroom on my phone. Air purifiers, Sharpie's, Contigo cups, weird furniture that nobody needs, in store displays that make no sense.. why the pergola/tent/lighting scene? We know what outdoors is like, we just came from there, we don't need the outdoors recreated inside but we love the guy sitting there waiting for his wife to finish shopping. Sometimes there are boxes, sometimes not - who controls the whole box thing at the front end? Doesn't matter, I love the thrill when boxes are available and my lunchmeat can ride home with my batteries in a half formed laundry detergent display box. Love you Costco Perimeter! If you're not a member, note that you're still allowed to use the pharmacy for prescription medicine, some of which is less than a third of the price of other pharmacies (bottle of fluticasone nasal spray: around $60 at CVS, around $16 at Costco). Georgia doesn't allow members-only pharmacies. And on your way back -- even if you didn't actually buy anything at the pharmacy -- you can eat at the snack bar. The snack bar at Costco makes only a few things, but they do them all pretty well. As a vegetarian, I tend to have a slice of cheese pizza ($1.99) and a diet Coke from the fountain (55 cents, free refills). When I'm starving, I might go for a second slice, but they're smothered with so much cheese that a second slice is usually overkill. Costco's dessert options are surprisingly extensive; they have cones and sundaes, and huge $1.50 ice cream bars. The chocolate comes off in slabs as you bite down. Share it with a friend, because only Sally Struthers' poor starving kids need this much ice cream all to themselves! If you've ever had real churros, hot out of the fryer and tossed in a brown paper bag with half a cup of cinnamon sugar, AVOID THE CHURROS HERE. So I've been coming to Costco since I was a little kid and it really doesn't change much. It is pretty awesome! They have samples up and down the aisles of yummy food, lots of frozen food to stock up for the winter, big sizes and quantities of paper towels and other supplies, and even their own bakery! They also carry all kinds of interesting items as listed below: -Jewelry -Couches -Books -TVs -Photo Department -ETC, endless possibilities They even have the lowest priced gas in the area and their very own liquor store! I like this Costco a little better than the other locations in town; mainly because it is the least crowded option. They offer all the perks and products of Costco such as cheaper gas, discounted food in bulk, deals on merchandise, and most of all free samples. One of the biggest advantages to the store being less crowded than the other stores is the ability to get through the checkout lanes a lot faster. Another advantage is finding a parking space which is hard to do at the Barrett Pkwy location. The staff at this Costco seems pretty nice and helpful, from the people working on the floor to the cashiers to employees that check your basket and receipt on the way out. read more

I love this store! I seriously love how they fill me up while i walk around the store and find ways to spend way too much money on an abundance of food. The layout of this Costco location was a lot different from others that I have been too and I enjoyed it. So, some of the items I highly recommend that you buy (food wise): Organic Normandy Vegetable mix (frozen). They have non-organic too, but this is just $2 more. We use the broccoli, carrot, cauliflower mix in everything from curries, stirfry, soup. Organic Mahi Mahi (frozen). Great deal for Organic fish. It is so yummy! read more

A special Costco - It has a liquor store attached to it. Standard Costco but really busy and parking is tough. However, their wine selection and the liquor store, makes this a special Costco. If you love Kirkland branded items, you'll be happy to find Kirkland Vodka, Rum, Bourbon and other spirits here. I've been a member since 2010 and absolutely love it! I don't have a family, just a single person. However, I go here to buy snacks, frozen foods, and toiletries in bulk so that I don't have to make as many trips to the grocery store. They're chocolate covered blackberries and yellowfin tuna steaks are my favorites! Cheap; Costco gas prices also make the membership worth it! Most fruits and mushrooms are not good. They seem to be in warehouse for long time and kept in store at end of life. Costco Milk has serious health (obesity) problems with kids. After shifting to A2 milk or Publix milk, my kids are okay. The items which are not sold in the market are kept at discounted price and they are of low quality. Yes, partially because its the one with a full blown separate liquor store with amazing deals including great organic selections and quality store brand options in vodka at prices that won't rob the bank. I love their French vodka in the tall bottle. I can't seem to spend less than $300 each visit because I stock up on nuts and organic meats like chicken breasts and thighs. As well as quality fish like wild salmon and cod. Nut butters, organic produce, and oils are always great quality! I wish they had pasture raised organic eggs. There's always something extra that I also hadn't planned to get, but just ends up in my cart - like this time it was an awesome $40 oscillating remote controlled fan. I'm mad I didn't get one of those grills while they were on sale. The Kirkland coconut water is amazing as well as Kirkland paper towels. I always feel great leaving this place! Home is well stocked now! Thanks Costco for having a great selection of quality, organic, keto, low-fat, healthy stuff! I am reviewing lunch dining only. This Sandy Springs location is near Perimeter Mall and offers a tasty cheap lunch. I had my usual on our last visit - a foot long hot dog, with fresh onion and catsup, and a refillable Diet Pepsi for $1.50 ($1.62 with 7.75% sales tax). It is tasty, quick, and filling. I took my car to the dealer for a service and they recommended new tires as my car is 5 years old. I decided I could save some money and use my Costco membership. This tire center should be avoided at all costs. I brought my car in and within about an hour they were finished. They said my everything went smoothly. I noticed my valve stem caps from my sports package were missing. I informed the person at the desk that they were gone and cheap caps were put on instead. They looked and couldn't find them. Additionally, the workmanship was horrible. I drove home about half a mile and the next day I turned my car on to find I had a flat. I took it back to the shop where they told me my rim was cracked. They said they could make no additional comments and to submit a complaint form. I took my car to a wheel repair shop and it ended up costing me big. But still a lot cheaper than replacing a Mercedes AMG rim. A month later they get back to me after countless calls to tell me they are not going to reimburse me. Crowded, lacks structure, and customer service is just one of the lowest of all Costcos that I've been through after being a customer for 13 years. For example, I ordered a cake, and when I came back after 24 hours to pick-up the order, the form that I filled-up was never picked up inside the box to be completed. Although, the Assistant Manager apologized --- it was certainly what we call "a meaningless customer service recovery." I work in customer service as well, and that's why I know, they lacked the system to truly provide top-notch customer service. Then, if you want tire replacements? You need to have an appointment, you'll be lucky if someone will actually pick-up the phone. I would recommend the Costco in Cobb or Woodstock. But if you can skip the Dunwoody branch, it will save you a couple of disappointments. read more

It's always super clean and it has a liquor store attached. Woot, woot! It's also got self checkout lanes which are much quicker. I go to Costco a lot but this review is specifically for the photo shop. Not for Nothing, we all know about Costco- go in, get what you need- store is always crowded Friday through Sunday. However- not many people know that you can go here for passport photos so allow me to enlighten you. First off- you get 2 passport photos for $5 + tax. Not bad!!!! The only cheaper option would be to take your own photos but for photos that can be rejected for having an open smile, you are better off having someone do them for you. When I walked in, the photo section was empty! PERFECT!!!!!! I'm on my lunch break and have limited time to kill. Stanley (I think that was his name, my apologies if I am wrong) was processing photos when I walked in. My first thought was that he was going to finish working before he acknowledged my presence but once I walked in, he stopped what he was doing and asked what I needed. I explained that I needed passport photos and he directed me to the area to take my photos. He could have just said stand there and snap snap on the camera and be done with it, be he wasn't. He took the time to tell me how to stand, lean more to the left, and he allowed me the opportunity to look at my photos and take a retake if I wanted to. I didn't have to ask for any of this. He did it on his own. He told me that my photos would be ready in about 5-10 minutes and they were ready when I returned within that time frame. Stanley was pleasant and made light conversation that made my shopping experience pleasureable and personable. I'm glad I chose this location for my photos. read more

Although the location on Cumberland Mall is closer to my house, I still shop at this location because the Cumberland Mall location doesn't show up in my GPS device. Since I'm completely dependent on my navigation system, I shall follow wherever she directs me. My boyfriend and I are new to the concept of wholesale. When we first walked in to Costco, we didn't know where to put our eyes! There were aisles of super-sized items! Excited by what we saw, we bought a lot of food, which proved to be too much because we couldn't finish everything before it began to rot and perish. So we learned our lesson and we now just buy non-perishable food items and just non-food items from Costco. I would also recommend taking a shopping list before going here. Otherwise, you might be pulled into impulse-buying, which I experience all the time. The only complain I have about this Costco is how there is no indication of what is at the aisle. Usually at a grocery store, you know how there is a little indication of "Aisle 17: Cleaning supplies; Light bulb, Detergent, etc?" Well, don't expect to find that here. This ticks me off because it makes searching for items really hard! Oh, and they only take American Express if you are paying with credit card. As I flash my membership card to enter the large garage like mouth of Costco, I brace myself to see every Jewish mother/family/yenta I grew up with and or know by association. That's right, the Jews love their Costco (insert cheap Jew joke here). Costco, for the most part, is cheap. Most people ask me, "Why does a single guy like yourself shop there?" Well, I don't go and buy the 30 porterhouse steaks from the butcher. Or the 13 gallon carton of milk. What I do buy is individually wrapped goods and frozen food. It turns out to be much cheaper than the grocery store when you do the math and you can pick up some free (throw in another Jew joke) samples on your travels. Do not go here on a weekend. That's when the bulk buyers and Jews are in full force. You will wait forever in line and fight for space in the cavernous warehouse aisles. I shouldn't forget to mention they have a little cafeteria(?) with dirt cheap food as well. You can get a hot dog and a drink for a $1.50 or a giant ice cream for practically nothing. So if I do manage to make it through all of Costco without running into a single yenta, which is a hard task to accomplish, I know they're camping out enjoying a "frank" by the cafeteria waiting to assault me with a barrage of questions and trying to set me up with their nieces. read more

Holy Hell Batman...Huge pack of Peet's Coffee for $10? Yes, Costco I will take two bags. This place never disappointments me. My husband got his new LG Ally for free there (they wanted $150 at the Verizon Store for it). They usually have free samples of products which ends up making a free lunch for me. What else? I bought about half of my Christmas gifts for family there, got my father a huge tool box that was about $400 cheaper than the same model at Sears. We get most of our household products in bulk there, and I can get a case of craft beers for far cheaper than the grocery store. The liquor store is pretty flipping sweet, as I can get a huge ass bottle of Grey Goose for $35. If you want even more deals, check out the website. I got our 5 day all inclusive honeymoon in Cancun for $1000 (including airfare). You can even buy coffins on there. I'm about to the point where I can conclude that ALMOST anything can be bought at Costco. What cons are there you might ask? It gets really crowded on the weekends with the super sized suburbia overflow. Just come on a weekend night and that problem is gone. The membership is $50 a year, but if you utilize their deals, it is paid back to you a tenfold. Want another reason to join? Hell, the food court is awesome and I got a hand dipped ice cream bar for $1.49. Beat that. read more

I just had my first negative customer experience at Costco. Ever. I purchased a whole cheese pizza at checkout (on my receipt), then went to the food counter, only to be told that the wait would be 1 hour (!). They had just put a cheese pizza out, and when I asked about that one one of the employees said "Oh we're not gonna give you that!" in a very surly tone. I then asked for a refund, but since it was on my card, they told me to go to customer service counter. The manager guy was busy, so I had to wait 10-15 minutes for him. When I told him about the hour wait, he was incredulous, and went to speak to the food staff, and he told me my "pizza was ready". Turns out that meant waiting another 10 minutes while the food staff (with exception of a nice young woman at one of the registers) glowered at me until my pizza was ready. If they were nicer about it, or perhaps if the checkout person had said "it may be a wait" when I ordered the pizza, it would have been far less frustrating. I've bought lots of food from the Sandy Springs Costco food court, including many pizzas for my kids' birthday parties. After this, I'm not so sure I will again. Now I can't hate on this Costco because it has a gas station with cheap gas and generally the same types of foods as the other Costco locations in town. Yet I can't help but not feel as much love at this location due to the sheer volume of people that parade around in here. I may love Costco, but this Costco certainly isn't saving all it's love for me. Great for the gas, but skip on the store especially on weekdays. Head over to Cobb for a little less chaos or over to Brookhaven a mere 10 minutes away if you want to shop in peace (and generally get a wider range of meats to choose from!). read more

I've been a Costco member for five years. I buy my coffee beans there; Seattle Mountain Coffee's "Colombian Supremo" blend. I stock up on the usual warehouse store staples: toilet paper, paper towels, chicken broth, etc. I also use their gas station. The snack bar is a good value for the money. I've had the hot dogs and the cheese pizza. They have a pretty good fresh food selection. I've had good luck with the meats and vegetables. If you look carefully, you can find fruits and veggies in smaller sizes. The meat section is one area where it's hard to shop if there's only two people in your household. The meats are usually sold in HUGE portions. I'm looking forward to buying a stand freezer so I can better take advantage of those deals. I also like their prepared foods. The chicken soup is hearty and flavorful, as are the chicken pot pies. I've never tried their pizza (the kind you prepare at home, not the snack bar pizza) because the oven in my apartment was on the small side. The oven in my new house is bigger. I'll have to measure it and see if I can finally check out those pizzas. They look yummy! read more
