Costco is super convenient to get everything you need at once in bulk. But the staff is sometimes awesome and sometimes not. The lines are always crazy and it's pretty expensive to be a member. But you can't be the convenience. read more

I love Costco. We come here at least twice a month. The only downside to this location is the parking lot. It is a huge parking lot but for some reason this parking lot is always packed. This Costco is like any other Costco. All Costcos are arranged the same way so it's pretty easy to navigate. Been to one Costco, you've been to all of them. Samples are always nice because I enjoy being able to taste something before purchasing it. Costco always carry very fresh and tasty items. There hasn't been a lot of items that I dislike from them. You can pretty much buy everything at Costco. You may not necessarily find the exact brand you are looking for, but they will have an alternative for you. read more

Costco warehouse: 4 stars Costco gasoline: 3 stars Costco pharmacy: -5 stars The staff here has always been extremely friendly and the cashiers are fast. No complaints. There is always a long wait for gas and they seem to have at lease one pump station closed but the wait isn't as bad as it is in California. What drove me to writing this review is how horrible the pharmacy is. I've never had a decent experience with them, much less a positive one. I was quoted $88 for heart worm medication and when they rang me up, it was $96.60. When I pointed out the discrepancy, the pharmacy student had no idea why it was the case. I didn't think it worth my time to press further. They are always closed during lunch and that varies from day to day and isn't posted online, so it's a gamble if you're heading there around lunchtime. On two separate occasions, I've waited over an hour for them to come back from lunch. There's a little sign that says "opens at 00:00" and a whole gaggle of them come sauntering back from lunch, over 45 minutes after the time indicated on the sign, total disregard for the long line of people who have been waiting over an hour. Every single one of the pharm techs is dour and unhelpful, unable to answer simple questions like "is this the generic form of the drug?" This pharmacy doesn't even come close to upholding Costco corporations's standards. I don't know if this is a problem with this pharmacy taking advantage of Costco's good name, but I'm never sending my prescriptions here again. read more

My boyfriend and I have made this location our regular stop for groceries. It's your standard Costco with friendly staff and well stocked products. There are a ton of Thanksgiving options for your traditional Thanksgiving dinner as well as already made items that I can stick in the oven or microwave since this will be our first Thanksgiving away from friends and family. I love Costco, but I'm a zoomer and don't carry a Wallet, ever. Sometimes they don't want to let me in with my digital membership, even though there are ads in the store prompting to use that instead and you can checkout with it easily. They need to instruct the people at the door to let you in if you're a paying member with a card. They could make this experience so much better by making the card an NFC virtual card that can be scanned by their checkout machines and stored in the Apple Wallet. It would minimize contact with others and make things faster. Amazon is doing palm ID at their stores, so this would be a cool way to catch up. read more

All my experiences with Costco are on the weekend. Yeah it's crowded and a few customers including myself are lollygaggers. Samples, small talk, buying in bulk, and shopping with extended families is something to embrace. Highlights are the meat selection, bulk toiletries, and frozen veg. I was recently traveling through Aurora when my tires were having problems. Zach in the tire center was awesome. He got me in quickly, and made sure that my tires were safe to continue traveling on. His sense of humor and quick wit were very appreciated! I would recommend this tire center to everyone in Denver. It is worth the drive to have this friendly group of people helping you. Typcal Costco, although this one seemed a bit busier than others I've been in and felt like it had more of a Sam's club clientele. People were kind of rude with the food samples, I guess some people try to eat their fill here. Parking lot was a circus and the checkout lines were insane. I have been a Costco member since I can remember. I'm grandfathered in through my parents... Love the cheap, delicious food. That's the icing on the cake for all of the great things you can get here! I recently got gas there and now ask myself why I don't just go out of my way to get Costco gas. I was curious about the hours so I asked the attendant. I think his name was David. He gave me the details about their gas! Not only is it cheaper, it's better. I was also helped by a gentleman Raul. He was a manager and was very helpful and knowledgeable about everything! Your typical Cost Co. It's nothing amazing. Staff varies wildly- some are grumpy as Hell and I rarely ask for help anyway but when I do I'm always dealt with in a "I can't believe I have to help this person" type of way. Meh. I am disabled and must use a wheelchair or scooter more often than not and I find that I'm constantly being cut off or otherwise poorly treated by other patrons here who are obviously being inconvenienced by ME. I know this isn't exactly Cost Co's fault but I don't have that experience in other stores so it's probably this particular location. Otherwise, if you can deal with the "meh" attitude of the whole place overall it's a decent place to get your bulk items. And since it's a bulk item store it isn't like you have to come in a whole lot. read more

I went to go buy a couple of pizzas today and an employee by the name of Owen asked to take my order and, then I was told that I would have to get rung up on the cashier next to his because, his wasn't working. So, I move over to the next one. A female employee (with no name tag) comes and starts ringing someone else up. I interrupted them and, I said "Hey! I was here before her". She looks at me and says, "OK! Whatever!" I IMMEDIATELY asked to speak to a manager and completely IGNORED me. So I go and stand at the returns line and the employee who helped me was very helpful and got me to speak to Brandon who was the manager at the moment. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the service provided by the employee who again had no name tag but, has bleached blonde hair, raccoon eyeshadow, and drawn on eyebrows. If you buy anything at their food concession make sure she doesn't take your order. This is my local Costco and I will be canceling my membership and going somewhere where my business is appreciated. If you don't like your job, quit. If you don't like people, at least pretend to. It's what you get paid for! read more

THE worse Costco warehouse location ever. Order tire on Tuesday last week was told will have the tire on Wednesday. Call to see is the tire available put me on hold for 20 mins no one pick up the phone, I hangup call again than told me will receive the tire 3-5days. Call again 2 days later another 20 mins hold no one talk to me again hangup n call again found out no tire yet. On the 5th day same story call - on hold over 20 mins than someone finally pickup the call and said to save me some time he will check the receiving then call me back. But never receive the call. Finally the tire came on the 6th day but no one bothers to call me(they said they will call me when they received my order) I have to call - on hold over 20 mins - call again put me on hold again so I had to hangup drive all the way to the warehouse than found out my order is there. So to save you time if your vehicle tires need special order just go somewhere else it's not worth it to come here. read more

The Bakery has been very unhelpful and rude in the whole process of ordering cakes. Not only was I not able to place on order over the phone, when I went in person, there was little to no help/prices available. I am currently on hold because the Bakery abruptly transferred me when I asked the total price so my place of work could cut a check before going in to pick them up later today. I'm very disappointed in the rudeness and now the wait I am experiencing. Will NOT order from this Bakery again. read more

There are many good and bad things about Costco. GOOD: There are many items you can choose from. The people tend to be nice (at many of the stores - I have been to the Aurora store, and it truly is one I avoid). The return policy is the best you can get. It is so good that you can buy all the food you need for a big party, and return all the leftovers afterwards for a full refund. In fact, I think I am seeing more of a pattern of people returning almost anything and everything. If you are poor or broke, it is better than welfare. Free snacks most of the time at the store, and full refunds mean you can almost eat for free for an entire year for $55. As a side note, it might be embarrassing to return all those items, but it tends to be the easiest form of welfare, and I see a fair number of people taking advantage of that. BAD: Now ya see it, now ya don't. We can't really develop buying patterns. I loved the Acai juice, and bought it regularly (and no, I have never been a Costco Super Returner). I think it could be the that it was too expensive to support the returns. And yes, they offer tons of services contracted through third parties that they call the best of the best. Water softener? No problem, that will be $7000 dollars. Sure, you could buy comparable services from Amazon for $1000, but Costco gives you a lifetime warranty. Gutters? $7000. Again, you could get it for about $2000, but it is a lifetime warranty. Blinds? About $60 / sq foot of blind (not upgraded). Furnace? Double the price. In fact, more often, everything is just more expensive at Costco. Now, Costco charges $110 for an executive membership. It comes with a guarantee that if you don't get the $55 returned as cash back (2% cash back for paying the extra $55), then they will refund the difference. Problem is, the cash back does not appear to be for the same period as the membership. My cashback is available from the beginning of September, but my renewal is at the end of November. This appears to place a full quarter on the next year's card (Now I have spent enough to get refunds in the past). This year is the first time that I didn't meet the cash back price. That makes the cost of the executive membership more than it is worth. (To be fair, we moved further away from Costco, and are living in a different area - so different Costco). The fact that the majority of things we buy are being discontinued (Even the cheese was transitioned out for a replacement that we didn't like - we buy chicken sometimes, and pizza sometimes, and that is about it for staples, everything beyond chicken is a luxury we would be hard pressed to justify). Before continuing on with the renewal issue, I should address that I have the Costco AmEx Card. Costco will be discontinuing the card, and require me to revoke (or pay an annual fee) and apply for a new card in a few months should I continue. The card promises cash back for Gas, but that doesn't apply to Costco Gas. All credit cards with cash back for Gas are ignored at Sam's or Costco. And Sam's is usually the same price for Gas, but their buy in is $35 ($20 Cheaper). Continuing with the refund: They said that they could refund the difference (which was their guarantee), but if I chose to do that, I would be required to downgrade the service, and would forfeit the refund amount that had already accumulated for the next period. They tell you the amount that you are forfeiting. This seems like a Psychological trick to attempt to get people who are bad at math to devote to donating extra amounts of money to Costco. We accepted the downgrade, which occurs immediately - before the current subscription expires. We will enjoy our remaining 2 months of regular service, then not renew (we had to explicitly ask for no automatic renewal or they would renew about a month before the service expired). While it is a great form of welfare, we feel that we have no further intention of supporting the welfare. The prices are now fairly regularly more expensive than they are elsewhere. Even the gas is becoming more competitive elsewhere. Even more so for those with 5% cashback on gas. At current gas prices, it is still better to avoid Costco if Costco is as much as 10 cents cheaper per gallon. That means that we are donating at least $55 to what we consider welfare every year, and every purchase that we don't turn into a welfare purchase is becoming a further donation to welfare. FINAL THOUGHTS: Milk is regularly a dollar more than local stores. Some bulk junk food is cheaper, but we don't need any of that. The pumpkin pie is a great price, not that it is necessary, but worth pointing out. Beyond that, much of the selection is unique. We have enjoyed eating grape leaves. The green chilli chicken salsa is good (albeit expensive). Flautas are great with the salsa (again, expensive). Cheese is a good price, though comparable with Sam's. I often find some of the bread's cheaper at local stores, not same selection. read more

Typically, I really like Costco locations, this one, however.. is a mess. Call in a prescription for my dog at 10am, at 1:30, not ready. Last time I wanted a prescription, it took several hours. As I leave, I walk to an empty check stand to exit, and an employee walks up with a cart and blocks it AS I'M almost through it. Totally oblivious to me. I like this Costco. I buy most, almost all, of my produce here and I have been happy with the products. Yes you do have to look at the "best used by date" stickers and have a close look at what you are picking up but I am good with that. Over the years I have bought several pairs of prescription glasses & prescription sunglasses here and have been happy with the quality and the pricing. They do take passport photos and they are ready by the time you are done with your shopping. Never bought anything at the pharmacy but a lot of the members seem happy with this service. read more

The culture at this location leaves MUCH to be desired. The one positive of this place is everything is neat and in its place, easy to look through things. However, the staff and most of the consumers are rude. I was looking at tops and an employee decided she would tell me about the collection and how nice it was. That is fine, then I picked one up in a size large and she proceeded to tell me "I am out of that top in an XXL and I think that's the size you would want". Ehem... excuse me? Are you my mother? Have you secretly been spying on me? You must be to know my size better than I would myself. Completely uncalled for and rude. Needless to say they lost business because of that. I would have purchased at least 3 of the tops on that rack but not after this incident. So disappointed that people treat people like this. read more

If Costco were a man, I would have married him ages ago... or at least introduce him to one of my sisters. I've been crazy about Costco for years and I'm here at least once a week. Even if I'm in another city, I often visit a Costco to see what kinds of wonderful things they sell at other locations. Some are a lot better than others in terms of selection and even pricing. This one is good; not the best, but I'm obviously a fan. I rarely leave without spending $100, even if I'm only buying a few items. The gas station is convenient and reasonable. I wish they had a liquor department at this location. Weekends at this place (like all other Costco locations) are a madhouse, especially when they are running coupons during that time. The meat selection is wonderful; they regularly sell USDA Prime and Choice beef, and they offer an exceptional leg of lamb around Easter. They even have organic boneless skinless chicken breasts sectioned off in packs of two for when you want to eat healthy and in smaller portions. They also offer a variety of fish and seafood. Turnover is high, so meat sold is very fresh. Packages can be large, which is the only issue... though I'm sure you can always invite friends over, and they'll appreciate you sharing your beautiful prime steaks. Product selection is pretty good at this location, though they seem to get rid of items I'm hooked on. I've made several requests to bring items back, but I don't think it's ever worked. Customer service says that sometimes items don't sell as quickly as they want them to, so they get rid of them, or sometimes Costco gets better pricing on a similar item, so they switch products or brands. So when I love something a lot, I have to buy multiples... and multiples of something in bulk gets pricey and probably means I end up consuming more to avoid wasting... but oh well. I have been burned way too many times when I couldn't decide if I should buy something, then I would come back the next day, and all 20+ items are sold out. So it's definitely better to buy something and return it if you need to... this especially applies to seasonal gear, like snow sport helmets, snow goggles, swim goggles, snorkel sets, and gift certificates. Costco's return policy is fantastic; hopefully it won't be ruined by the few that abuse the system and return ridiculously old items that just were not meant to last a lifetime. The food service area is open to anyone, with or without a membership. Just walk in through the exit door if you don't have a membership. Cash only, though (not the case in some other states). You can even call in and order a whole pizza to go. The pizza, hot dogs, frozen yogurt, chocolate-dipped ice cream bar, and churro are yummy, generously portioned, and cheap. The staff here are generally friendly and efficient. I definitely scope out the checkout lanes for the faster and more experienced staff. The ladies giving out samples are usually pretty friendly and personable, though there are always a couple exceptions. The only person that always seems angry and unfriendly is the produce guy. He eyes people in the refrigerated section, and I've heard him making nasty comments to people who choose fruit or veggies from a lower bin instead of the top bin. The produce guy definitely has issues; I like to take my time and pick out my produce, so usually I'll come back if he's already staring at people. The parking lot can be a little chaotic, especially near the front door, where everyone is walking and cars are whipping around corners to try and find a good spot. I'm here way too often and love Costco a little too much. Our biggest purchases here include tires (highly recommended for the price, the Costco guarantee, and the nitrogen air), cell phones, eye exams, eye glasses, contact lenses, and travel packages (online), and those were all more than worth the money spent. They even sometimes have free flu shot clinics. Having an executive membership is also highly recommended since you get an annual rebate on all your Costco purchases, and if that rebate doesn't cover the cost of your upgrade, you get the difference back. While the employees are very pleasant, the optical department is very understaffed. I waited more than 30 minutes just to pick up my refill contacts. They didn't call the numbers, so some customers who arrived earlier, we serviced later. I will never return to the optical department. My wasted time negated any savings. read more

As much as I love Costco ( member since 2001), this particular warehouse need much improvement in customer service. After all, you are dealing with people, so people skills are needed. Also, not everybody speaks Spanish, so English language should be required. After shopping for 1 hour and navigating through crowded place for another hour, I left my shopping cart on the side for few minutes to find it gone... I ordered a Eastport Woven Swing (Item: Item #1900683 and Order# 773716171) from costco.com and it was supposed to be delivered by CEVA Logistics. This is THE WORST company I have ever had the displeasure of working with and I'm SHOCKED that a company like Costco would continue to work with them! We scheduled delivery on two separate occasions, waited at home all day, and CEVA never came. Nobody answered the phone number CEVA provided in the email and their customer service line wasn't open, so I contacted Costco who apologized. Costco admitted they have received numerous complaints about CEVA (1.5 stars on Yelp) and are aware their inability to deliver items is causing problems. Ironically, Costco doesn't use ANY other delivery service in our area, so all they could do is offer a refund. DO NOT purchase any items from Costco if they continue to use SHADY services like CEVA. Costco can try and blame CEVA, but Costco is the company selling the item... they should hold themselves to a higher standard of customer service. read more

I asked a friend where I can you get a nutrition blender and he recommended going to Costco, I have never been in Costco before, heard about it but you need membership, and everything is in bulk; my friend told me it was cheaper than a lot of other places, plus you can get all health products (fruits, vegetables). So I went to Costco in Aurora, met with Lourdes (new memberships) I was very impressed with her professionalism, and she was extremely customer friendly. I was amazed how easy process was to sign up! next it was time to go shopping., WOW, they need to rename it "Everything Under the Sun", also if you need some exercise, place is huge! I purchased "Nutribullet Rx Blending system, fantastic buy! recommend it to anyone. I will be a regular Costco customer. read more

Yes, we need another Costco in Stapleton or Lowry or Northfield or on Colfax Avenue, how about it ...( for jobs, since those other places have lots of stores. At least Sprouts gets that.) For the volume this store does, I think it does a very good job. I rate Costco high because it attempts to be responsive to customers, has good quality products in general, and manages to keep prices reasonable while not resorting to the Walmart mentality of paying so little that many employees are on food stamps. 3.5 stars if I could. My wife and I have shopped here every three or four months since the store first opened. It's bright, clean, well organized, and has nice wide aisles. The parking lot can be a bit problematic when it's busy, but that's more a function of idiots who can't drive or park than the layout. It's always crowded, but much less so on weekday evenings about an hour before closing. If you have to go on weekends like us, the sweet spot seems to be Saturday morning within a half hour of opening. I won't pay to shop, so if we couldn't use the business account my wife's employer pays for I doubt we'd have ever set foot in the place. They don't have an express lane. Small orders don't fit their business model. This, and the need to buy a "membership" is what costs them stars in my book. We're empty-nesters, and just don't need to buy things in volume. What brings us to this store is the great quality of their meats. The only way to get that quality elsewhere is to buy from a small shop like Tony's, and pay a serious premium. So, every few months we stock the freezer. The bakery is also very good, and we always bring home breads, rolls, cookies and unfrosted cakes and muffins, which hold very well in the freezer. You can also find great prices on OTC medications, vitamins, and dietary supplements. But you gotta buy large quantities, so make sure you check those expiration dates. The great deal goes down the toilet along with the pills if they expire before you use'em up. read more
