Great shopping day at Costco. Purchased Kevin's Korean BBQ style chicken. This comes with pre- cooked chicken breast strips in two packets and two sauce packets. The chicken is pre-cooked, so preparation takes 5 minutes. Added it to stir fry vegetables with fresh ginger and garlic and rice. Chicken was so soft and moist and flavorful and sauce was super. One packet of chicken and one packet of sauce was enough for 3-4 people with the addition of stir fry vegetables, or use both packets to feed a crowd. It's on sale, too, for about $10. They also have beef bulgogi in the same brand, but I believe that was $18. read more

This is my regular Costco for the pharmacy. Proximity will keep me coming. Had an incident just now at the self checkout. The device needed my card, but I didn't do it right. I asked for help from the clerk close by saying, "Excuse me", twice. She bulled over and said, "They're are others who can help you!" I said, (with attitude back, admittedly) "I'm so sorry to bother you. I'm just trying to buy something." She fixed the machine. I paid and left. Still angry though. You can't treat consumers poorly anymore if you care about reviews. She obviously doesn't. read more

I am experiencing all kinds of first this weekend! This was my first time in a Costco to shop... man is this place crazy packed! Finding parking is insane! Walking around with your cart full of stuff is difficult! And watching out for the kids so they don't get run over is a must! There are sample stations everywhere (if you haven't eaten lunch just walk in here and hit the sample stations... lunch for free!) The selection is pretty awesome from an Invicta watch (really cool looking watch) to huge toilet paper packs.... they have "STUFF IN BULK". Beware though... as you go through loading up your cart with this and that... you do have to find room at home for all of this. The cashier and cart stacker were fast friendly and helpful... it was an interesting experience for sure.... and now I have a pantry so full I can't even see what is where anymore! read more

I was not organized AT ALL and I was kind of "in the weeds." Nikki helped me out with giving me tips, helping me make sure the meats didn't touch the fruits, and really cared about her job! Costco is an awesome place to stock up on groceries, taste samples, fight for parking, line up for Costco gas and shop in the Costco Liquor Sales store. I usually go to the Cedar Park location, but wanted to spice it up by going to another location this Saturday. The layout is different at this one compared to the Cedar Park one. Just be careful that nobody runs you down with a shopping cart. Take your time and browse the items. We bought a bunch of meat here and hope to cook it up this weekend. Be sure that if you bring a friend that when you check out they must pay cash. Most of the cashiers never ask about that. At the minimum, they used to allow people who came as a guest of a Costco card holder to use their debit card. So heads up on that. I like the little deli place. 59 cents for a fountain drink is awesome and throw in a pizza slice or polish dog. Have fun and good luck. Try to shop on the weekdays if you like to avoid the crowds. read more

I LOVE COSTCO. It's become a problem. You know you are in love when you literally need nothing but just feel like you are missing out on something they may have so you take a trip. I don't do much social media, but I even follow Costco. It has always amazed me how many employees they retain. For the last 5 years, I've been going to the same Costco, and I can easily point out 5+ people who have been their the entire time. Costco...oh how I love you...from cheap gas & prescriptions, to loads of bulk stuff and the best $5.99 pumpkin pie! I mean there's not a whole lot to say that people don't already know. Membership is $60 and up. Totally worth it in savings. Gas is consistently .10 cheaper than others. Prescription drugs are cheaper & don't even get me started on the prescription glasses. So cheap! Some stuff is seasonal, so grab it while you can. They now take visa instead of Amex so that's a plus. Online, they take all plastic. Sweet. I'm a fan. Lots of bargains. read more

My husband and I always find what we need and get exceptional service. The store is always clean and organized.

Overall a solid Costco location. The selection is 4-4.5/5 stars. Quality is about the same. Food court is standard. Bathrooms are decently clean. Like most locations, parking is a huge hassle and the line for gas can be very long at times. But overall it gets the job done at a standard membership quality. Only qualm is that service is inconsistent at times - sometimes you get stellar, friendly service. Other times you get somewhat rude or brisk attitudes. read more

I love Costco and have been a member since 1999. This one I find different thing's occasionally from my regular on Kelly Lane. This last time I was able to find a delicious chicken pesto lasagna. Also I have found the beef lamb for gyros here more regularly. I can never get out of a Costco for under $100 even if I have just a couple things on my list The employees are wonderful. Always very helpful. The butcher helped me find a cut of steak that was very tender but cheaper than the filet. You can't beat the price of their huge chicken for $4.99 so many great choices of food by the chicken for a ready made meal. Great prices on produce. The one thing about Costco, if you see it, buy it because they may not carry it all the time. The parking lot is large but it seems busier than Kelly Lane . I always get my gas here as it is usually cheaper Will be back for sure!!! The store is always clean as well as the bathrooms. I love the self checkouts. I am a loyal Costco member since 2001. I love Costco and everything about it! That's why I'm so sad to give this report. Today as I was leaving just after checking out. Two employees Kendall and Brooms were standing at the end of the self check isle. They were very involved in a conversation. Kendall had her back turned to me. I had to stop and wait for them to notice that I was there attempting to move. This is how I overheard Brooms say. Oh wow that's just some Texas sh*#! Really that's just ridiculous . Now Brooms did self censor and only say the "SH". But I am here to tell you. A person should not say things out loud that might be construed as negative by a casual listener. Costco is one of those places you don't want to go but may need to go in your life. It is always packed and finding parking any day of the week is a challenge. I like this location as it has a gas station whereas my usual south Austin Costco location doesn't. Sad panda. I found this location to have more in their stores which were a bonus for me compared to the South Austin location. Note, they have booze store outside of the entrance that anyone can go inside (no membership required) to buy select booze. Enjoy Austin! read more

Costco, why do you hand me 15 samples while I navigate your humongous warehouse? Why do the folks at the sample station hand me complete sausages and eggrolls with no one to share? Do I scream foodie and Yelper to you and you must try and woo my heart with the one thing I know how to love? No, no, that's not it. It's because you know I'm cool. I never knew you had the comfiest running socks in packs of 6. My feet now know what it feels like to walk on clouds. I never knew I could take selfies with teddy bears double my size, or sit on patio furniture I can't fit in my tiny apartment. Or even, try on neat running shoes for $20! Your bakery is heaven and those muffins are the size of a giant's fist. Your wine and liquor selection makes me drool at incredibly low prices, and I admire the roterissery chickens and deli items from afar. Your food court keeps me smiling as a simple woman, cash only, $1.50 hot dog and soda, giant chicken cesar salad, or bbq sandwich along with ice cream. Can't contain my spending and feeling like a queen when I come to you. The only thing that keeps me in check? When I go shop with you on a weekend. Saturday and Sunday, those parking spots just disappear and I walk so far to get to your entrances. Worst Costco I've ever been to. Therese D at the returns counter is the rudest Costco employee I've met. She kept trying to find every single reason to not return the item I brought in and kept interrogating me that there were missing parts when there wasn't. When she couldn't find that as a reason to deny my return she stated a fake return message that showed up and was content with leaving me with my defective product. When I politely pointed out that this wasn't the case, Theo and David overheard and stepped up and immediately sided with me and got my refund taken care of. What's worse is Therese didn't want to step aside and kept trying to continue to deny me my refund. After all this was said and done she curtly handed me my receipt, no apology, nothing. I understand if the machine shows something, but it shouldn't take me standing there confused to try to help me, and if she isn't knowledgeable of the job or customer service(which she apparently has a few bad reviews here), maybe she shouldn't be there. I'm highly highly considering cancelling my membership and at the least will not be going to this Costco again, for this one employee. Soured me on the Costco brand completely. read more

I was just here doing an Instacart order and heard two managers (who coincidentally were standing there doing nothing) speaking VERY loudly (loud enough for all the customers around the checkout area to hear) about how their employees were "doing nothing" and "sitting on their phones on THEIR dollar". Keep in mind there were two checkouts opened besides the express checkout, not ONE single customer in line at either, and one employee was on their phone for maybe 10 seconds. Maybe spend your time doing something else useful instead of standing around talking badly about your employees loud enough for them and customers to hear. What happened to the level of customer service here? You can tell the employees are unhappy. Been going to this location for years and the last two times I shopped there (and spend hundreds of dollars each time) I've been treated badly. One experience I'll never forget was when I asked the cashier how much this particular water was because there wasn't a price posted and the guy helping her said "I bet I can go back there and find the price tag right now" basically calling me stupid. Plus last time I went they didn't have ANYTHING I needed because they don't carry the products anymore...It's starting to become worthless to be a member anymore. This is simply just for the food court. They need to pick up the pace. It took me 30 minutes just to get my pizza and a fountain drink. Please exclude the excuses of being short staffed or they were a lot of people ordering, etc. That was not the case. From 654 to 655, it took 10 minutes to get their hotdog and a drink. There was no organization from the woman pushing it out and she had attitude when I asked her for my ticket when I was in the 60s and she was already in the high 70s. "I'll get it when I'll see the ticket from the printer". Clearly the printed does not help you be organized. This was the 4th time I get food (my usual order; pizza and a hot dog with drink) and it took an average of 35 minutes. I worked in the food industry not that long ago for 7 years, it's embarrassing when the lady has the audacity to give us attitude when she clearly doesn't work with a purpose and not expediting food out at a reasonable pace. I think we've gotten our money's worth out of our annual Costco membership. I initially was pressured into signing up by a Costco rep soliciting a discounted membership at a former workplace. We usually do one run to Costco per month, primarily for kid lunchbox items and easy work-from-home snacks and meals and drinks. I felt compelled to write a review after my last experience where the store's safety inspector came to the rescue when she noticed my 1-year-old daughter was nearly ready to fall out of our cart while I had my back turned momentarily. Let me start by saying I really like Costco. The prices are competitive, the selection vast and the employees always friendly and helpful. Here's my beef and the reason they are only getting one star today...the new procedure they are using to up sell existing memberships. In the past, the cashier scans your card and a prompt pops up for them to talk about upgrading to an Executive Membership. "No thanks" I say. "We've had an Executive Membership in the past and at the end of the year the rebate check didn't offset the cost difference between membership levels." No problem, hands me back my card. Have a nice day. Well, today was a different experience. Cashier scans my card, hands it to another employee (manager, I think) and he says to me, "oh, I see there is an issue with your card. One moment while I check on this computer over here", and walks away still in possession of my card. He comes back and informs me to see the "man over there" when I'm done checking out. I wait in line to see "the man over there" who holds my card hostage until he force feeds me his pitch on all the reasons I should upgrade to an Executive Membership. OMG! Please, please Costco stop this practice. If this had happened to me on a weekend and I was forced to stand in a long line to hear this pitch to get my card back, I would have canceled my membership on the spot. This practice does nothing to enhance the customer experience. Fool me once. Next time I will not be polite and never allow an employee to walk off with my card. read more

This place is almost hidden. I've been here several times and I like it. However being that it's so far away from me I don't go as often as I used to when I lived in CA or Las Vegas. For some magical reason I lived within a 2 minute drive before. Here at this location this is what I've noticed they do not carry that all the other Costco's do carry and this is why they do not get 5 stars: 1) Boca burgers.. really? I love those things 2) Silk's Almond milk.. 3) green chiles. I thought 4 sure they'd have this now that we are closer to NM, nope 4) Vita tops muffin tops. 5) veggie lasagna .. the list could go on and on..but I just figured it's regional. Maybe I could have those special ordered perhaps? If you offer it at one, why not at the other? What is available that I did not see at other costco's: Gelato! nice... Even thought I bought all 4 tires @ the costco in Las vegas they fixed my tire free of charge and had evertying in the system and didnt even make me dig out my paperwork (*the one time I actually found it).. as fate would have it. I love Costco. What can I say? Some of those deals are great bargains. I bought a laptop in September, and it kept closing out while you were in the middle of a websearch: guess what? I took it back. with receipt and no questions asked other than: was there anything wrong with it? I told them, ok. They werent able to put the $ back on the card but they did offer me store credit or cash. I of course took cash b/c I'm a broke college student in the midst of a move and need to keep all the cash I can get in my pocket. The membership is worth it. Hands down. I've lived in Austin 2.5 months and have yet to replenish detergent I bought in Las vegas... probably in May. that's a bargain! If you dont have a membership or have been considering getting one.. Do it. It's worth it. I knew HEB runs this town, which is good for things not available at costco but the bargains they have just cant be beat. They too offer COUPONS that give you the best deal. Tons of good things to say but if you dont know that by now you are living under a rock. Great prices, good quality, and happy, well paid employee's make Costco a winner in my book. I did not give 5 stars because of the difficulty of getting into and out of the store! Parking is a bear but I dont mind parking further away and walking but I do mind sitting for what feels like forever to get out of the parking lot. Getting in isnt as easy as it should be either. The store down south is not nearly as crowded and parking is easier but I prefer to shop in my area which requires me to plan out the day and time I go to this Costco to limit the access, parking and crowd problem the North store has. read more

I want to give a HUGE shout out to the Assitant GM and the two cart team employees for helping me out today!! I am a complete idiot and wedged a newly purchased 65" TV into my backseat and couldn't close the doors or even get the TV out of the car to reposition. They all tried very hard to help me out with a problem that had no easy fix. The AGM basically unhooked my back seats and loosened my doors so we could get it out of the car. This review is related only to the Tire Center which grossly needs improved management and does not meet the expectations of the Costco Brand. First, I've used this tire center multiple times, and I have always been disappointed. I've also used Discount Tire and as comparison, Discount Tire is managed much better. My grievance with Costco Tire is from repeated bad experiences. The most annoying of which is excessively long wait times to have anything done. This is typical of tire places, but Costco repeatedly has quoted a one hour wait only for it to take 2+ hours for them to touch your vehicle. To make matters worse, twice, I have scheduled an appointment with a specific time reserved time only to arrive 10-15 minutes early and not see my car touched for over 90 minutes. Imagine showing up to a restaurant and not being seated until 1.5 hours after your reservation. This has caused me to miss work meetings, etc. Additionally, one time they over inflated one of my tires by 15 PSI. It was actually over the maximum listed on the sidewall and caused my TPMS to alert for being too high. That was probably just an honest human mistake, but the more time I spend here, the more I see humans working under incredible stressful and hectic conditions. Finally, while it's nice that they use nitrogen in the fill, it also means if you want to stay on nitrogen, you need them to top you off since not many places have Nitrogen. What at Discount Tire is a simple, drive up, fill up and leave experience that takes less than two minutes, is a complete nightmare at Costco. Today, I drove up and nobody acknowledged me for 5 minutes and then I kept getting, "We will be right with you". It is just pure chaos in there, the music blasting so loud people are screaming at each other, every worker looks exhausted and deflated. No knock of the employees, this entire shop is just managed horribly. I ended up leaving with my tires low on nitrogen because I couldn't stand to wait aimlessly in front of the shop listening to music that is too loud for any work environment. I truly hope Costco management addresses the amateur hour operation going on in the Tire Center. At least manage reservations appropriately, that is my number 1 gripe. read more

I thought because it was Costco, there would be good service and good prices. Big mistake. The optical department is milling with people and you have to take a number to get service. Good luck getting service. I waited and waited and waited and waited. It looked like they had only 2 or 3 people helping customers, but 6 or 7 customers standing around waiting waiting waiting. I will never go there again for eyewear. I presume it was because of the prescription my eye doctor submitted, but after all that waiting, the glasses I finally got are like window glass. There seems to be absolutely no correction in the lens. If I didn't hate waiting in line so badly, I'd go back and inquire if there was a mistake. Costco: You need to pay attention to the optical department and beef up the service. It is NOT up to Costco standards. read more

Never had a bad experience here. Great alternative to Sam's Club, offering similar products but generally much more desirable varieties (at least for us). Their rolling assortment of products makes going through the non-grocery sections a must because there will randomly be cool things to get for great prices. Love the quality of every Kirkland brand item I've tried and they're always competitively priced. I just bought a set of 4 tires from here because it ended up being so much cheaper than any other car shop and includes hazard coverage with installation. I live very close so I go often and we've never had a bad experience with anything and the employees are always very friendly. This is beyond the review itself, but I just want to note that as with all bulk item warehouse stores there will always be products to stay away from. Luckily bad deals are fewer and farther between than years past, but it really pays to shop around and figure out what is worth buying and what is not. Depending on your needs you may be able to save a LOT of money NOT buying specific items from warehouse stores. Just food for thought. read more
