Was very excited to check this place out as I had seen some videos about it on Tik Tok, a friend & I had stopped in and felt pretty unwelcome. We had gone to see the Jellycat selection ( which could have also been better ) but left after only about 10 minutes as we were watched and followed in our very short time there. Very sad considering I would have purchased a bag had the service been better. If you are going to advertise to people of all ages, do not discriminate against them when they come to check out your store. I dropped by Sue Patrick to pick up a Longhorn T-shirt for the next days game...It was 3:45 in the afternoon..Immediately bark from the front person when i came in,they closed at 4:00....I hurriedly picked something and scurried to pay out..There was a line of customers in front of me so i thought i would wonder to the back quickly to see what else she had. I suppose the older lady sitting on the couch was the owner because she yelled at me with confidence, "WE ARE CLOSED" Ive never been in a place as a customer and treated so rudely..I apologized for holding them up and left.. I ordered a variety face masks for my family to wear during the Covid 19 pandemic from Sue Patrick and was pleased with the speedy shipping and delivery of my purchase. I was disappointed when I opened the burnt orange Pom masks that were supposed to be for my two children attending UT. The masks felt very light weight so I wondered if they would do much to protect my children and those around them at school. I looked on the manufacturer's tag and it says "This product is NOT meant to filter air, but rather to restrict hand to face contact" it also says that it is UPF 50+. The front of the tag says "adorable way to protect your face". I decided to return the masks because they will not serve my intended purpose. After I packed them up, I decided it would be the responsible thing to do to alert Sue Patrick that these masks are of no real use during a pandemic, so I emailed Jay. I asked him to please consider adding into the description on their website that the masks do not filter air and are only to prevent hand to face contact. He replied and said he would send me a shipping label. I wrote to him again and asked for him to please edit the description on their site. He said the masks follow CDC guidelines. I told him this is misleading because they don't protect anyone from anything. I decided to write a review of the masks so I could warn customers that these masks don't filter air. I also left a comment on their Instagram post of these masks warning the public that these do not protect people. They took the entire post down, not just my comment. They also refuse to let my product review be published. After my reviews a woman named Jill Scott emailed me and told me that the description on their website was straight from the manufacturer and I should take up my complaint with them. I let her know I don't have a problem with the manufacturer since their tag is what told me the truth about the product. It's Sue Patrick I have a problem with because they won't edit the description of the masks, want to be argumentative with me, shift blame to the manufacturer, and take down my reviews and comment on the product. They could have used all that time to just edit their description on the site! They just lost a customer. Too bad because I have two UT students and we probably would have bought lots and lots of UT merchandise from this store. read more

Sue Patrick is an interesting store. It's a family-owned operation, but it's also a department store. Strange. On one hand, I give this Burnet Road store props for beating the odds and holding tight to a successful independent business for over 30 years (since 1975). On the other hand...well....I'm not sure how they did it! Sue's stock is pretty typical - men's and women's apparel, a small amount of home decor, a jewelry counter, and a massive collection of "officially licensed" UT Longhorn paraphernalia. Think men's dress shirts, women's casual and professional wear, and every possible piece of burnt orange merchandise you could possibly dream up. It's a bit overwhelming, actually. I enjoy perusing the store on the off chance that I'll find something unique and memorable, but the truth is, the only reason to shop at Sue Patrick is to support your local business. And maybe because the atmosphere is hometown homey. The prices are fair, but no basement bargains here. Oh yeah....they also have one-of-a-kind Austin sno-globes that I haven't seen anywhere else. Very cool. Easy to find on Burnet Road with a big sign...you can't miss it. Sue Patrick is maybe worth a visit. Definitely worth it for Longhorn fans. read more

Sue Patrick has a wide variety of shirts and clothing. When my wife needed a cute Easter shirt this is where she sent me. I found multiple great choices and the service was fast and the prices reasonable. The shirts are good quality and many to choose from. The store does seem a bit overcrowded with every space filled with items. read more

Nice selection of clothes for this aging, wanna be stylista. Excellent selection of brands--they are my source for NYDJ jeans and the Habitat line. But somehow, I never feel welcome there. I slink in, do my shopping as quickly as I can, and whisk myself out. I try not to ask for help. I don't carry my selections around, I ostentatiously leave them on the sales counter, because I feel like I get the side-eye otherwise. If I know I can find something somewhere else that's equally convenient, I go there. Or I go online. But Sue Patrick just has the best dress up clothes for the opera. Or a big concert. Or a gift for my mother-in-law. Or a lovely, appropriate tunic for work. Wish I felt more welcome. BTW, I'm multiracial. read more

This is the BEST locally owned shop in Austin! Beautiful ladies attire, everything from tops to bottoms. Her sales are always amazing, and her Consuela section is full of colorful bags and other accessories. I find brands here I do not see anywhere else, and their service is above and beyond! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! If you haven't been here, you should check it out. They have a wonderful card section and a bunch of El Arroyo sign magnets, mugs, etc that will make you literally LOL! read more

Sue Patrick sells clothing and lots of UT paraphernalia. I shop there for their extensive collection of Foxcroft women's wrinkle-free shirts. It's much, much bigger than Nordstrom's and the salespeople are just as helpful as the Nordstrom staff. Sue Patrick isn't a big clothing store so you don't have to walk a lot inside. I like to go to their great website and look at all the clothing and sales. Their website/online store is really nice--especially for an independent clothing store. I wish they would open later on weekday evenings. Here are their hours: Mon. - Sat. 9:30 - 6:00 Sunday 12:00 - 5:00 They are located on the West side of Burnet Rd in an ivory-colored shopping center. How I've never made it over to this place I don't know. I've seen their ads in the Alcalde and Statesman forever. Finally made it there when I was in town early for a game and wasn't ready to tailgate. It's like a very small dept store with men's and women's sections and a nice Vera Bradley section (I'm really into VB). Might have had a kid's section but I didn't notice. I was there for the UT stuff. A smaller section than the Co-op but more things I liked. Cuter tees, some kid's items (was in the market for a few things for a UT grad friend who's a new dad). And things that I could wear. I'm not a small girl so the ladies sizes at the Co-op stop just short of things I could wear. Or rather, I guess I could technically wear the XL ladies stuff from the Co-op but that would just be wrong and I respect the general public enough to not do that to them. :-) Yet I'm not always into the boxy men's tees either. So good sizes and selection. There's plenty of parking in the strip mall that it's in. I'll definitely be back! Cute, cute, cute stuff! read more

Bought an XL shirt posted as available online using my PayPal account for an in store pick up. Arrived next day to pick up only to find shirt had been sold. Attendant said they failed to update system to show shirt was sold out. Offered an exchange, store credit or refund to my PayPal account. Told attendant I had to drive in from Del Valle to pick up, attendant told me she had to drive from Hutto. Got PayPal refund. Had to pay PayPal fees & refund on hold for 4 days. I will update my review and opinion that Sue Patrick is a terrific, locally owned store, that is well-stocked and customer friendly. This is particularly remarkable, since being well-stocked has probably been a big challenge due to pandemic and its accompanying shipping dilemmas. Sue is there 'in person' on most days, but the other helpers are extremely responsive when asked to help. The entire establishment, though, is very comfortable with 'browsers', and one is free to walk around and look, without anyone needing to follow at your elbow. Sue Patrick is Number One still, here in Fall of 2022, for UT Longhorn fan wear, both for women and men. If you like Consuela bags, you are in for a treat in that section. I particularly value 'honest opinions' when I try something on and ask, "Do you think this is the right size", or "How does this top look with my jeans?" You will receive an honest evaluation from one of Sue's seasoned employees who want to send us all out the door, "Looking great!" They are easy to use for an online order, and offer free shipping on most purchases. read more

I was reluctant to go back to sue Patrick after my last two visits. Both times I had felt ignored and had a hard time getting assistance. But, I purchased a new car and wanted a long horn emblem so I stopped by. Their posted time for closing is 6 on the door and on their website, however when I arrived 10 minutes early they were closed. After a 30 minute drive in Friday rush hour traffic that was quite a let down. I won't be returning and certainly won't be recommending anybody shop there. Bought my top, went to other places, lunch with the girls, came home changed and noticed one of my earrings was missing. Hit me like a lead balloon regarding trying on tops. Terrible customer service! Will never go there again. Go only if you want to be treated badly. First time customer and had found a few things, clothing and gifts. But when I got to the register the woman was unfriendly. When. Asked about my discount, she said she knew nothing about it. So I took my items and went to my car and found their ad that had gone out in the mail. Now, it does say that the coupon had to be presented. But she could have told me that I needed it and I would have walked the 15 seconds to my car. Instead she knew nothing about it and was rude when I asked about it. So I took back in my receipt and asked her to give me my discount. I told her that perhaps next time she could have told me or others about it instead of just dismissing me. She told me "dont't talk rude to me". I had not raised my voice or said anything rude. So then I asked for her manager and she told me that it was "her mother", implying that her mother was not going to find fault with her. So I asked her mother's name. At this point, I wanted to refund my money completely. This was certainly not worth giving my money to this store. So I went to get my package and when I got back Jay, the asst or the manager was there. He tried smoothing things out but his employee certainly ruined my experience.
