It would get 5 stars for sure but every time go through the 4th ave S. Seattle Carwash, it only " amour all's" the right side 2 tires and leaves black polish spray on front and back fenders.. I canceled my Costco membership with them because they say that my grandmother or no in the other car or responsible for what happened to both of our cars. When you put two cars in there and they are too close together an accident is bound to happen if you read all the accidents I would never use their wash ever again. There sure seems to be a bunch of new car washes in the area. They all seem to have new brushes...those foam kind that get your car clean but do not scratch. They all seem to be about the same price...10 bucks. So here comes Costco with a $7.99 wash. We all know how great Costco does on other services so I had to try. It is one of those newer car washes where you pay and an attendant and they guide you on the track and you put your car in neutral and the rest is done by the wash itself. I would give the wash a 5 star rating but the couple times I went through the wash it did not get all the stuff off of my car. Each time I needed to go back to the attendant and show them and have them run me through one more time. It did a better job the second time which is awesome that they take care of you but it should really always get it done the first time. To be honest I have used other car washes in the area and they do not do nearly the great job that the Costco car was does. I would not hesitate to get my car washed here again...add it to the list of things I love doing at Costco. Cheap pizza, cheap gas, cheap contact lenses...gotta love Costco. :0) read more

Costco has a car wash!?!?! It's 7.99 for a drive through type car wash. You pull up and pay at the machine like you were paying for gas (membership card then payment card) then drive around to the front of the car wash machine. There is a guy there who takes your ticket and also tells you what to do. Put car in neutral, don't touch the break or steering wheel. Think the gas station car washes you drive your car into and put in park, but in a longer building so your car just slowly moves through all the stages. It cleaned my car quickly and I didn't even have to dry it, between the fans and spot free rinse (I think) I just drove out and was done. I saw a few reviews where people were complaining that it cost more than a gas station wash - but maybe because I don't live in Oxnard, but $7.99 was cheaper than the gas station car washes I've been to. I wish there was one actually near my house! read more

the car wash damaged my tire, poking a hole in the sidewall. I immediately reported it to costco, who basically stated that it was impossible. I took it to a tire store for them to verify the damage, and they stated the damage was consistent with damage that can be created by a car wash. Costco and its insurance refused to take accountability, and told me there no evidence the wash caused the damage. When questioned, they stated that they havent even inspected the car wash, and refuse to do so. They told me it was my fault end of story. OK, disclaimer here: I'm a 22 year Costco employee so perhaps I'm a little biased. Ya think? $7.99 for a thorough drive thru car wash is a great deal. Sure you can go to a gas station and save a few bucks but there is no comparison in quality and respect for your car. I read the FAQ for employees about the car wash and was amazed to read about the advanced technology, soaps, and machinery we use. Rest assured your car will not be scratched, spotted, or dirty. Costco does it again. Awesomeness at a great price. Those garbage drive through washes at the gas stations SUCK. They cost the same as the Costco wash but do not do half as good of a job as the Costco car wash. Furthermore I am sick and tired of all the swirl damage you get from the so called hand wash joints (to say nothing of the chronic upselling). I am pretty particular, so when I exit the car wash I usually park near by and use a microfiber towel to wipe down the little water droplets that may be left behind. I can truly say have I have ZERO complaints about this facility. I no longer bother with any other car wash, because I don't like to spend the money and I do a far better job detailing my car at home after the Costco carwash run through. Haven't you ever noticed that at the gas stations drive through units tend to get pretty run down after just a year or so and things don't seem to work as well whereby making the end results less favorable. In the 2 years I've gone to this carwash, the facility is perfectly maintained and everything is working at 100%. All the soap jets, those giant red scrubby things, the rinsing jets, and the air blowers. Bravo Costco, bravo!!! read more

I wanted this to work so badly. I debated between a 2 and 3 star review. The good: quick and convenient, you pull up and pay just like you would at the gas pumps. The attendant makes sure your car is set on the track and reminds you of the rules before your car goes in. Various soaps, rinses, and brushes whirl by as your car is cleaned, finishing with a blast of air to quick dry your vehicle. The bad: This is not a car wash, it's more of a car re-clean. If you're car is relatively clean, you'll most likely be satisfied with the results. But my car was DIRTY. Like hadn't been washed in over a month, covered in a film of dust, dirty. Also the attendant had to stop me before driving away because the rubber strip from my roof had been ripped off and he needed to put it back. Which wasn't a big deal until after exiting my car I noticed there were still dirt spots here and there. And the right side of my trunk has white scrapes of straight lines and swirls that weren't there before. Overall, it wasnt worth the cheap price for a car wash. Id only recommend this if you last got a full service car wash and just needed to refresh the exterior. Otherwise spend the extra $5 and get your whole car cleaned. But I sill love the cheap gas!!! read more

This carwash is great. It's quick and easy and my cars always come out nice and clean. I've been through it about 10 times now in 3 different cars and a truck. I took the truck through after a week camping on sand dunes and the thing was filthy. It came out looking great. I have been happy with the results every time. Under 8 bucks, I've never had an inconvenient wait, good results... I'll keep coming back. The air dryer removes most of the water but I like to bring a towel to wipe down the door jams to prevent any drips. read more

In my older low profile car, I would come here all the time. The price is great and the wash takes out most of the dirt and grime every time. I usually didn't have to pull aside after to wipe down wet spots since they didn't show on my car. My new car has a lot of chrome accents and is darker in color so I cant get away without wiping it down when we leave because water spots show. The dryers are a bit powerful so you shouldn't go through the wash if you have any broken/loose parts. The dryer blew off my windshield trim (that wasn't loose) and Costco reimbursed me for the repairs quickly and easily. If you have the time to wipe it down (Lil Boosie voice), this wash is a great deal! read more

It's just a drive through car wash. 8 bucks and you don't get anything vacuumed or cleaned inside or even dried. I honestly can't tell this drive through wash apart from any other out there, but it does cost more. Costco has everything from excessive amounts of soft drinks you'll probably never drink, clothes, furniture, anything thing you can name. My favorite thing here other than the pizza is this car wash. I, like most lazy Americans, will wait in line for something that is fast and convenient. This car wash does the job especially after its rained a bit of you've driven to Vegas and back with a bunch of bug residue splattered all over your car. My only issue here is it doesn't dry your car off completely, especially the bigger SUVs/trucks but it does leave your car squeaky clean. There is only one option for $8. So I love Costco and do just about all of my shopping here and also get my carwashed! Whoohoo... If I am in a hurry I get there early in the morning and run my car through. I do bring a towel though to dry off the water that didnt get blown away by the air dryer. On those busy days when there are alot of people the wait is not bad maybe 10 minutes or so and you're on your way. read more

I was just in the Ventura County over the weekend, after fueling my car, I just decided to try out the car wash. I was satisfied not for what i paid but it was truly amazing. This is about the best you can expect from an automatic car wash and for $7.99 it's a great deal. I don't need to tell other auto enthusiasts like myself that there's really no substitute for a thorough hand wash using proper car care products (I have several classic cars that will never see the insides of an auto car wash) but for a "daily driver" this place does a very good job. I've run our two family cars (a Honda Accord and a Toyota Avalon) through here several times and although I can always find areas of improvement, for the convenience and price I really can't complain. To avoid long lines try to arrive early in the morning and/or on a weekday before ~4 PM. read more

Best drive through car wash around. Tires done, the spray waxes, and dries the car so much better than the other smaller car washes.

Stay away! Two distinct scratches in the same exact location on both sides of my car after going through the wash. Manager said it happens somewhat often and assured me it would be taken care of. Took car through carwash on 7/13. Top of car dented going through and Costco disavowed claim as did not notice dents right away. Costco said no other cars had damage to top of car and no proof happened at carwash. Neighbor thought someone had walked on car, but repair shop said that couldn't have been cause. Car is garaged and only thing that has been on top of car is the carwash brushes. If someone else had damage, please report it on Yelp. read more

On 2/19/16 I ran my car through, usually all is ok except this time it came out with a thick black grease all over the right side and right rear! I showed Jen the attendant the problem which marked my ticket "refund". As you know the Oxnard store is a zoo most of the time and I didn't have the time to deal with it then ..... instead I went home and had to polish the right side and rear of the car to get the grease off. I went on line to Customer service and they forwarded the message to Oxnard, they did called me for a refund and a couple of free washes but to this day 3/12/16 still nothing! I must say the management at the Oxnard Costco leaves a lot to be desired and it seems it always has been that way too bad I like Costco but nothing is perfect. read more
