I was surprised how well it got the spots (bee poop) off of the car and windshield. There are water drops that remain, so when the car comes out, pull over and wipe the remaining water off before you leave. Still need to vacuum the inside and do the windows inside, which is a PAIN. I love the convenience of this car wash and the reasonable price BUT I miss getting my interior windows cleaned and the carpet vacuumed. Gulp!! Price for Costco members only is $7.99. If you have a Costco membership and haven't tried the car wash, you are missing out. I normally hand wash my car, but occasionally I don't have the time and the filth is just too much, so to the Costco car wash I go. Why make the trip? Because this car wash is much longer than standard car washes, I would call it a "double". This means your car is cleaner after a run through. Also, the price, especially given the better process, can't be beat. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because of the !@#$%&*!!! Hassle of lining up to actually get in. As everyone knows who frequents Costco, that parking lot is a stone cold nightmare in every respect. And the queuing process to get into the car wash is best described as "gerbils gone wild!" Add to that asshats that try and sneak in from the sides as the rest of us have been willing to wait makes the process additionally frustrating. But, the fact that given these problems, I still go here should tell you that the quality of the wash is definitely superior and the cost can't be beat. read more

Over the years, I've used this car wash a few times, and unfortunately, I've had repeated negative experiences with certain staff members. On multiple occasions, I've encountered unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful behavior directed at me and other Costco members -- including being argumentative, combative, and verbally inappropriate. In one instance, a staff member intentionally turned off the car wash machine while I was driving through, resulting in my vehicle coming out still dirty and covered in spots. Whether this was done out of spite or due to a lack of proper training, it reflects very poorly on the professionalism expected from a Costco-operated facility. This location seems to have a serious issue with the training and supervision of its car wash staff, and I strongly urge Costco management to investigate this matter thoroughly and take corrective actions immediately!! read more

Big fan of Costco, always have been and always will be. Went through the car wash tonight, actually sitting through is as I write this, for the second time. The first time I went through the blower left the whole left side of the car wet, decided to go through a second time because well maybe it would blow better. Josh was manning the post both times, when I cam around the second time to ask if I can go through one more time since the blower left everything wet, his unCostco like response was " and you decided to get it wet again" after some back and forth I went through the car wash a second time. This is one of the few Costco's that have a car wash. It's efficient, cheap and convenient. It'll give your car a quick wash to get rid of the LA dust, but don't expect any deep cleaning. You can purchase the car wash either at the gas pump or at the car wash station. Show your receipt to the attendant and they'll show you how to get into the car wash. There are quite a few scrubbing and washing sections and I feel at least 90% of the car gets cleaned. The back of our hatchback doesn't usually feel the love though and don't expect bird poop, bee poop or those tree saps to magically disappear with this car wash. Although we don't get a completely clean car, it's pretty good for the price and convenience, and we go in with reasonable expectations and bring our own towels to finish the job. read more

KIRKLAND CAR WASH! Best $7.99 car wash you can possibly get these days. You are prompted at your Costco Gas pump before sliding your card for payment if you would like to add a car wash. So simple. Pay for gas and the wash all at the pump in 1 transaction. No brainer, if you ask me. This drive thru car wash is easily double if not triple the length of your typical gas station quick wash. The wash was thorough, the drying time was an extended amount and it got most of the water off. And it seems to be a real spot free wash unlike those other ones where you have spots all over and you paid more than they charge here. Never again. I deducted one star cause 1 of the spinning brushes on the left side was out of order. You show your receipt to the car wash attendant to show proof of payment. He will direct you to put your car in neutral. I was driving my girl's Prius so I was fumbling with it for a few seconds. Ha! 2 lanes feed into 1 at the car wash entrance. Good deal. Very satisfied. This Costco car wash in Torrance blasted both of my rear door handle covers off my car. Reported the damage to Costco and their insurance company and they said they did no wrong. Had to find replacements on Amazon prime and it cost me about $70 to replace the handle covers. I advise everyone to stop going to this car wash, it will damage your car and they won't compensate you for any damages. I've gone through many other similar type car washes with this car without damage at all, but the first time through Costco's car wash inflicted damage. Bad, very bad car wash experience!!!!! If a Costco store has a car wash right next to the location, you know they mean business because not all of them would offer this service, $7.99 for a very detailed exterior wash nice and clean right after, sign me up. The only thing I didn't like about this location is the way the parking was designed, it got so confusing getting into the right line, between the gas station, the regular line, the path that take you to Sam's Club next door yep they have one right next to a Costco wow, and now an Amazon warehouse behind it, total chaos, took me quite some time to guide myself thru all the madness, but of course my car got taken care of, I would always stop by here on my way back from LA, pretty neat read more
