I had one of the worst car wash experiences I've ever had at this location today. My fiancé recommended this place since he used to come here a couple of years ago and always had a good experience. I trusted his suggestion and drove all the way from Long Beach to Torrance specifically to get my car washed here. Unfortunately, things have clearly changed for the worse. When I arrived, I explained my situation clearly, my car had been parked under a tree for about a week, so I mainly needed the outside washed, and only a light vacuum inside (without moving or touching anything). The employee called his manager over, and from the start there was poor communication and judgmental behavior. The manager questioned the condition of my car, even though it's a brand-new 2024 model that I purchased straight off the lot. I used to work at a dealership, so I know what proper detailing should look like. They recommended a $150 detail, which was well over what my fiancé said the washes used to cost. After explaining my budget, they agreed on a $65 wash and wax. I paid cash inside the attached gas station and received a yellow receipt. From there, everything went downhill. While my car was being washed, I noticed employees constantly looking over at me and talking among themselves, it honestly felt uncomfortable, almost like being at a nail salon when you know they're talking about you. Then they started waxing one small area of my car and switched to polishing instead, as if they didn't know what they were doing. After partially polishing the back, the manager asked me to come over, then decided to cancel the wax and only charge me for the wash, promising a refund for the wax portion. Inside, the cashier gave me an attitude and said she didn't know how to refund the money, even though it's the same business. She printed out a card-style refund slip and asked me to sign, even though I had paid in cash, which made no sense. At that point, I told the manager I just wanted to leave, the experience had already been stressful and frustrating enough. To make things worse, when I returned to my car, one of the workers was spraying chemicals inside the car, even though I clearly said I only wanted it vacuumed. He sprayed directly near the USB ports and open cable areas, which could cause electrical issues later. My car was still running when I got in, but it wouldn't move at first, I had to restart it, and the workers were laughing at me while I was trying to figure it out. For $65 (even $25 would've been too much), I got a half-done job, poor communication, and rude, unprofessional customer service. The interior wasn't even vacuumed properly, there's still sand in the back from a recent beach trip that they clearly didn't bother to clean. I don't understand how this place maintains good reviews on Google, but after reading the one-star reviews on Yelp, I completely agree with every negative one. Terrible customer service, careless workers, and a manager who doesn't take accountability. If you value your time, money, and vehicle, avoid this place completely. I will never return and will make sure to tell my friends, family, and community to steer clear of this location. Update: 11.3.25 - I am not the only review that had these issues and I can provide others with screenshots of others reaching out with similar experience. I don't want to award only one star I want to award 5 because the lads work so hard and do a great job of cleaning. How ever I'm in a situation, my car keeps letting scratches from there, a brand new "R" shaped scratch on my hood? The scratch is not to the metal it'd a surface scratch deep enough to actually see it. My steering wheel has been completely ruined with deep scratches on one side of it. Again from leaving the place. I bought the car brand new last year 2024 and have never had my car washed anywhere else. Since then scratches to my paintwork hade appeared. I have never said anything because is there any point really I hear they won't do anything anyway. I'm just gonna have to cancel my subscription and clean the car myself oh well. It's just a shame I hade this damage to my car. Like I say on Friday brand new scratch appeared what looks like a letter "R" scratched in to my paint work. I think if you have the hand wash and watch them you will be fine. They're all so nice but I can't for the life of me work out why my car keeps getting scratched there. read more

I drive past this car wash every Saturday while running errands and this time around, I decided to give it a shot. I can already tell you I won't be back and that's just after driving up to get the wash. It's hard to tell who is an employee or a customer. The employees seem oblivious to customers entirely and don't seem to be very friendly. It's clear some of them should not be in a customer service environment. For the price, I'd expect much better. My second time at madrone car wash. I come here for just a bit of extra interior care that I won't get with automatic car washes. Because let's face it when I'm living in dusty Los Angeles city it doesn't matter if I get more frequent car washes if it takes two days of outdoor parking to diminish the affects of my wash. They get the major components both outside and inside of my car so it's less of an eyesore haha. It took them 20 mins from start to finish on my shine & protect car wash just like last time. There were specks of white probably from the vacuum, dead bugs still on my windshield, and a finger smudge print when they were done. But these guys work hard, are bending and stretching to cover terrain on your car. I just wish the advertisement for the four levels of car washes didn't promise as many services as it does. It creates high expectations which often lead to greater disappointments. I see it as an enhanced basic car wash and would like to assess if the value justifies the price. I've gone twice so Im a repeated customer -- it's okay/ usable. 3.5 stars. I wouldn't choose the fourth option for the exterior wash because I've seen what they do at the second level, and it doesn't build my anticipation for the fourth level. If I ever try the interior detailing for $65 one of these days I'll let you guys on yelp know how it goes. read more

I am a returning customer and I brought my truck in for a wash last Wednesday (7/15) to take advantage of the 20% off Special. I was assisted by Girish as I pulled up and he greeted me with a huge smile and recognized me from the time I brought my truck in for a carnuba wax application as I recently had my truck freshly painted. It is always great to see my favorite management team (Girish, Ghandi, Renee) And my cashier Vanessa also greeted me with a nice smile and she was very courteous as she rung up my car wash ticket with the "Crazy Wednesday" 20% discount. And my car wash technician Jorge did a great job detailing my truck inside and out after my truck came out of the war wash tunnel. This place does not have their business in order. I pulled up to get gas and to get my mom's car washed. Cooper asked if I wanted gas or a wash and I said both. He told me I would have to go inside, pay first, then put gas in the car, then get the car washed. I followed instructions and went inside, waited in line, and when I got to the cashier, she tells me I needed to get a ticket for the wash first. So I explained what I was told and, to her credit, she helped me figure it out without sending me back outside again. Apparently a customer in front of me was told the same thing and he just left without being serviced. The cashier was friendly and professional to me. I got back to the car, and another lady comes to write a number on my windshield. I wait in another line inside my car. When it's my turn and I get out and leave my car, the same lady stops me to ask if I have a ticket. I said no. And a confusing exchange ensues. Cooper walks and tells her I paid, and she waves me off, shaking her head (like I'm the crazy one). Not friendly or professional and definitely not a good experience. The final outcome was fine. The car was clean. I am a good tipper and won't take out my frustrations on those not involved. But this treatment was definitely not what I needed on a Father's Day Sunday. The kicker is the I got an upgraded car wash with a scent. Thinking it would be scented upon getting in, I was dismayed to find that the scent was a plastic covered cheap air freshener. See photo. THEY. SCRATCHED. MY. CAR. The scratch is SO DEEP that it ripped my paint protection film PPF wrap (see attached photos)!!!!!! UGH!!!!!!!!!!!! Do NOT come here unless you want your car MISHANDLED and DAMAGED. BACK STORY: I'm currently 0/2 for car washes in the area and was surprised when I passed by this place the other week and saw it had decent reviews on Google. I came here for the first time yesterday at 4pm and got a hand wash ($55). At first I was impressed by their policy where if it rains within 5 days of your wash, you can come by for a free wash! I waited in the main waiting patio area the whole time, confused why I couldn't see my car. I noticed too late an uncovered waiting area PAST the mechanical car wash and saw that was where hand washes were done, and walked over there by the time my car was almost done. When my car was done, I just approached my car on the driver's side, tipped the attendant, and went to run my next errand nearby. It's only when I got to my next location, parked my car, and looked at the passenger side that I was HORRIFIED to see a DEEP BLACK GASH on the passenger door that had RIPPED THROUGH my paint protection film wrap and damaged the body of the car. I mean, just LOOK at the photos and the black marks on the passenger door! That photo was taken only TEN minutes after the wash. I didn't have these marks or this scratch at 3:45pm when I left my home to go to the car wash, and here I am post-wash with a damaged car. They should have noticed the marks and cleaned it. But OBVIOUSLY because THEY are the ones who made the marks and scratched through my PPF and DIDN'T NOTICE, they didn't clean it. They were also pretty careless with the toweling. I have been here before. This is my 4th car that I have detailed here and I have never seen such sloppy work. I dropped it off around 830am and was told be ready around 100p. I came to pick up till 300p and notice all the sloppy work. The "manager" Rene assures that it would be taken care of and to return at 400p. I gave them till 430p and all the pictures I show are AFTER my car had been there for almost 8 hours it was still not done right. The excuses I was given that my car is old and some stains are permanent. Well as you can see they come out. I was offered to bring it back to get fixed... but we already did that. All the "manager" offered in return was 2 basic car washes. I don't think this is worth $300.00. I really hope this helps someone to consider what they are paying for... sometimes you don't receive your worth. I will really think about coming back to get my cars serviced again at this car wash.
