This review is explicitly for their hot dog offering. They go by all sorts of names but lowly hot dogs are generally a blend of, well...do you really want to know? Hmm. Let's start again. How did the old saying go? Oh yes... "you don't want to know how the sausage is made." That about sums up my feelings about hot dogs. A meat mesh sculpted into a funky cylinder of calories, it could lead to embarrassment if you admitted eating one in polite company. But the world is changing and admittedly all beef hot dogs can be tasty. Costco wieners have a decent flavor profile. The problem is I like my hot dogs with mustard and onion. Who would think that's too hard to deliver considering bold signage over the order stand depicts this product with onions as an option? Here's the deal: I've visited this store three times and considered getting the $1.50 hot dog combo. I don't even drink the soda. Guess what though? The hot dog as shown in the picture was not possible. Why? No onions. Each. Of. The. Three. Times. The hot dog tender, even a manager, give lame excuses about how they're not available or they don't have any onions cut. Wait. The back of the store has onions. Problem solved, right? No. We can't use those onions, they told me. Whatever. Change the signs, quit making excuses or obfuscating. Even the dirty water hotdog guy in Midtown Manhattan has onions. The issue clearly is one of import to customers, making national headlines and receiving coverage from NBC News in 2023: "Yes we can confirm that Diced Onions are returning soon," Costco management wrote in an email to TODAY.com. Why then does this issue persist? Store decision makers: people base expectations on representations and a false or misleading visual is terribly ineffectual and may even create disdain, let alone literal distaste. Hi Folks! I'm Nick and live in Washington DC but come back often to telework and do things for my mom who lives close to the Costco on North Nevada. Mom got into a minor accident causing damage to the front passenger tire. Both mom and me are members of Costco. I've taken my car to Costco in Alexandria, VA many times and knew exactly whom to turn for mom's 2024 Subaru Crosstrek. I went to Costco on 8/17/2025 and was greeted fairy quickly by Drew. He, after an inspection, determined the front passenger tire needed to be replaced. After some time determining which set of 4 tires to buy for her car, Drew recommended the Michelin Defender 2. Immediately after purchasing the tires and waiting a day for them to come to the store for installment, I went to the store for my appointment. Scheduling the appointment with Drew and working with Jessie - when Drew was not onsite - was very simple and a very good experience. When I came back for my appointment, Jessie was at the register again providing excellent customer service to those ahead of us and to mom and me when it was our time to speak with him. Both Drew and Jessie were patient, professional, kind and authentic regarding my mom changing her mind, not knowing where her car keys were located and basically all around were very good ambassadors for the tire shop and to the Costco brand. I will always come back to Costco for tire needs due to the service, knowledge and professionalism of the Costco team in the tire department. You should do the same. You won't regret it. Ranked top to bottom, along with selection criteria. We next visited stores selling the watches, and we were most impressed with Costco. Eyeglass warning! Costco has lowered the quality of lenses they now use, especially progressive lenses. They are selling old technology. Numerous folks are reporting vision problems. Just ask your optician. Changed to my local optical shop at my doctors and my vision improved drastically with same RX. Yes, even with insurance they were about 25% higher but again vision is so much better. Nite vision, Watching TV and computer really showing the differences. Buyer beware. read more

Costco refuses the build down in Pueblo or anywhere south of Springs and will charge you for any deliveries if they even deliver at all. we had a very terrible experience today. our friend has a Costco membership and the four of us wanted to come and eat a late lunch together.. he scanned his card and we all started walking in to go to the food court. A gentleman had stopped us and asked if we were all together and we said yes. He informed us that there is only supposed to be two guests per membership. And proceeded to call a supervisor up just to kick us out... an elder lady offered to allow two of us on her membership just so we could eat. They said no that wasn't allowed and told us we needed to leave. so what if mother has five kids? They can't come in or what? ridiculous. sam's is better anyways. read more

Recently relocated to the area and I've already been to this Costco several times! I really like this location for many reasons and the main one is the phenomenal selection. I practically jumped up and down when I saw the cafe latte Orgain protein powder that I have been dying to try. If you're a coffee lover like I am, you've got to try this! Plus, it has caffeine in it so you can get really pumped up after getting your gains in. On top of all that, it's on sale right now. I bought it before the sale, but when I showed my receipt to the customer service representative, she credited me the different since the sale started right after I bought it. Costco always has great customer service. I also recently tried a sample of "Juice", which is a healthy & vegan version of preworkout that is made mostly from beats and I love it. Costco offers such a wide selection of products and all of the supplements, vitamins and protein options blow me away. I was also excited to see the women's Calvin Klein 2-pack sweatpants for $14.99. I almost bought them a few months ago in my previous state, didn't and have regretted it ever since. So when I saw them this time, I didn't pass up the opportunity again. I got a black & grey pair and they're so comfortable. Great work lounging, sleeping, working out or errands. I could go on all day about how much I love this Costco! read more

So then I was told they wanted to keep the car as it was an all day job, but that they may not get to it tonight. Ummm yeah, I'm done. I went to Costco for new tires. The personel in the tire department are not well trained. Although I am happy with the tires I got, I was not happy that they damaged all of my rims. I called it in and they said I had to come fill out a claims report. I went in to fill out the claim form and said do you want to come see the damage and the service tech came out looked at my rims, which are chipped all the way around and he said to me this is common with chrome plated wheels. LOL! This is the third time I have had my tires changed since owning my truck with no issues until now and I have had a lot of chrome rims in my life without this issue. I should have stuck with Discount Tire. I will be waiting to see what the claims department has to say but regardless this should have never happened. All the rims look like this. read more

So Costco and I have a love hate relationship. Its like that friendnemy you love to keep around because lets be honest, she's super convenient and helps out a lot, but you also hate to be around because shes too loud and crazy sometimes. Thats costco. Convenient , reliable, cheap. But can also be crowded and hectic and give you a massive headache if you even think of stopping by on a saturday afternoon. But the thing is - its has an amazing wine selection, awesome flower prices, great bulk items, and the usual unnecessary items that catch your eyes and make you open your wallet. Now im pretty sure Costco and Target are somehow related, because there's no way you'll enter Costco and leave with only what you need, or spend less than $100. This is my local go to Costco. I don't know if it's because I prefer the sore layout or what it could be. The parking lot is easier to maneuver and find parking in as well. It may be because I can hit Trader Joe's too!?! It also may be that this location has the liquor section in store. Which means that that they have the Kirkland Signature brand of wines and liquor. For our every day wine, this is very good wine. The vodka, rumor has it, is made by Grey Goose and is 1/3 of the price of the liter Grey goose bottle. I feel that the lines move quickly and the staff is friendly. Their whole bean coffee grinders that are up front are also much better (& faster) than the other local Costco. We have also seen identical items at both locations with them being a higher price at the other (Barnes) location. Otherwise, it is your typical awesomeness that Costco is! read more

Costco people are rude. Not the people in the store, but their corporation as a whole. You can only have 2 cards and no other family can use one. When I told them that "I" personally would never shop there again due to "me" paying for the membership and I can't even shop there. I told him I was going back to Sam's because they are not that strict, and their agent told me that "he is glad someone met my needs". These people hate you. They are not friendly to anyone and don't even care about your business. Go somewhere else. read more

Costco is Costco. The place is mobbed if you go in the afternoon or on weekends. I stopped getting gas here because the wait is not worth it for the little money you save. There are some great clothing deals to be had. I like their prime beef selection. I eat less red meat than I used to, so when I do eat red meat, I want it to be great. Their prime beef has always been delicious. Lamb is also great and never too strong tasting. Around the holidays they have great deals on Belgium chocolates. This is 99% for the gas department of this Costco! I only buy my gas here (unless I am low, and I have to pull into another gas station but I try my hardest to avoid that situation). The staff is amazing at helping everyone, even when super busy. I came super early this morning, the staff was walking around picking up trash in various areas. Really showed the pride they have in their job, work area, and company. I rarely need to buy things from Costco, as it is just me so I can't really justify bulk. However, when I do go into the store, I am always impressed by how clean and organized it is. My parents love to get the street tacos, which are delicious! read more

It's Costco, right? If you've been to one, you pretty much know what to expect. I get here every couple of weeks for items I don't mind buying in bulk-- I'm single and can't use a dozen avocados or 10 pounds of onions before they go bad. But I do get the rotisserie chickens because they're such an amazing deal, as well as their honey (which I use daily). Their Coastal cheddar is wonderful, but now in bigger blocks so not quite as great for me. I also get staples like canned goods if I have enough room to store them. read more

Was surprised to see how busy this place was on a Tuesday morning, but it was. Even being busy, there was plenty of product, staff were everywhere to answer questions, and the checkout procedure was very easy and very quick! Turns out we were charged twice for the tires. My husband had to spend another 40-50 min at the Tire Center and then Member Services to get the second charge refunded. He says it could've been much more efficient had he initially been directed to Member Services, and if the Member Services people had listened to the Tire Center people standing 20 feet away. Apparently it took my husband a long time to convince Member Services he had been charged twice (and not gotten two sets of tires), although the Tire Center had clearly been anticipating the problem. Bottom line: think about what your time is worth. read more

I have been a member for over 40 years. During that time Costco has changed a lot. The company used to run by merchants. Now, like most retailers, it is run by the bean counters. The merchandising push has been for more high value, supposedly healthier, food items. Staples, such as Smuckers strawberry jam, has been left in the dust. I find myself buying fewer and fewer items. I would give up the membership except for some notable exceptions. The Kirkland 100% Columbian coffee is always a bargain. Currently the cost is $10.99 for three pounds. I found an 18 ct. of sesame seed hot dog buns for $2.50. The rotisserie chicken is actually a loss leader at $4.99. The gasoline is always the cheapest in Southern Colorado and contains a fuel injector cleaner similar to Shell. A customer or potential customer of Costco needs to remember that it has grown into a cult. Be a smart shopper and you can save money. Buy anything and everything here and you will overpay for many items. One last note. For the past two years I have purchased my home owner's insurance through Costco. Currently the policy is through a subsidiary of American Family Insurance. The policy price has saved me over a $1,000 to date. Check it out. read more

Harasses and bullies our drivers delivering their products and equipment, lies about services and policies, lies about delivery hours, and then lied to us when we went in to check out the store before deciding to renew or not. No other Costco up to and including the one across town acts hateful and lies like this one. The others were welcoming, let us see if they would be able to meet our needs whether by waving us through or giving us a pass, then take out a membership (cancelled when we were transferred to cities without Costcos). This one lies and demands you take out a membership before even going in which IS against Costco policy last we were members. read more

The customer service at this location is terrible. I've been going to Costco for 15 years. When I moved to Colorado I was so happy to have a Costco so close to me. I've been coming to this location for about a year and a half. And every time I come, without fail, there's at least one employee who is incredibly rude to me. Now, don't get me wrong, it's not all of the employees. Some of the employees are quite lovely. And I've worked in customer service for 10 years. So I'm very empathetic to just how stressful the job is. But honestly, the employees behavior towards me has gotten to the point where I'm not going to go to this location anymore. read more
