I love costco...plain and simple. This warehouse makes shopping a one stop for all. For groceries, they have extremely fresh vegetables and fruits that are often organic too. The rotisserie chicken is the same price as kroger's but twice the size. Household essentials are also stocked here in bulk, and the prices are lower than other retailers. If i'm hungry, I can buy a lunch for less than $4, and if you are feeling extremely cheap, the samples can fill you up. If i want to feed my family, I can get a large pizza for $10. When I need gas, the gas prices are lower than any other gas station I can find. I also have a personal bias that I believe Costco gas is better quality..but that i debatable. I love this location because of its close proximity to the highway and other department stores. I went on a Saturday early afternoon and it was super packed so finding parking took awhile. Most of the employees are super helpful and greet customers with a smile. Since Costco is known to feed their customers, it was only right that I stopped at most of the food stations. There was a lady at the food station giving out samples of loaded potato skins but she was super rude and seemed upset to be working but I made sure get my sample of potato skins and go about my shopping. read more

I really like this location. It has a lot of Asian options. Tons of prepared food, Just the right amount of other products to buy and like all Costco's the pricing is fantastic. Super busy spot though so try going on weekdays not to include Fridays. It is also located in an area that you can go to other stores and get a lot of your other items. read more

Members of both Costco and SAMs because of a business I own.... Costco is so much cleaner and actually abit cheaper than SAMs.... I am letting the SAMs membership run out..... and as a business owner it makes more sense to use AMEX than other credit cards.... pay the balance off with 0% interest plus points at the end of the month means less debt the company owner carries.... simple math.... read more

Parking is really crowded. The gas station has fewer pumps than other Costco's. The gas price is the same as nearby gas stations. Customer service will use unwritten generic policy to deny returns. read more

I have been a Costco member for years and years and have always loved it. A bit disappointed since moving to GA though at the lack of locations, always very crowded and getting around the mobbed sample carts that block every aisle end gets old quick. Samples are great, but I rarely get to get any since I don't have an extra hour to wait and having them located so they block every busy aisle end is a bit much. Also disappointed with the lack of many of the items here I have found at all the locations in three other states I have lived in, especially organics. Very few organic produce selections here beyond carrots and spinach. ***UPDATE** They have steadily expanding their organic items!! Yah!! Thank you Costco! Employees are great here as they are in all the other locations I have been to, and their customer service and return policy can't be beat. Keeping my membership, just wish they would expand their locations and product lines, Georgia has some of the fastest growing counties in the country after all! I actually have a Sams membership also now for when I don't want to make the long trek to my nearest store and frequent alternative markets for produce when I used to buy 90% off that at Costco when I lived elsewhere, and I know others that do the same. As many times as I have here over the years, my mind never made the connection customer + retailer = Yelp! until today. My wife and I are no longer members because we now live WAY up near Cumming and would only go here twice a year. However, our best friends were going here to stock up on Heinz ketchup, frozen chicken breasts, and postage stamps and asked us if we wanted to go with them. Yes we do and yes we did. I got to remember that Costco has more of a higher end niche than Sam's or BJ's. If you want staples like dairy, canned goods, and laundry items, I find that Costco tends to be a little higher. But, if you want some gourmet ready-to-eat, finer baked goods, a bigger variety of produce, and better clothes selection, then here is where you ought to go. Today being Saturday, there was a gnarly crowd but the store personnel did a great job of being consistently efficient. There were also a lot of vendors passing out free samples- glorious free munchies! I managed to glom onto a big bottle of grapeseed oil, a gorgeous roasted chicken, and some tasty spinach, artichoke and parmesan spread. Sweet! read more

My husband is a regular here at this location. Even though we have a Costco's less than 10 miles from our home, he would rather drive 15 miles to this one. I'm not sure why, but he says that certain items cant be found at the Mall of Georgia location. I personally like both stores. And can shop at either one... Because my husband visits this location so much, the clerks at the customer service counter knows him by name. It seems that he never has his card when he goes and always gets a temporary one. Today, they made fun of him so bad, they talked him into taking another picture for a new card, but this time giving him an extra one. They advised him to leave one in his car and give me the second one. Lol! I thought that was funny!!! Instead he held onto the both of them. So we shall see the next time we go if he has at least one card on him. Overall, its a great location and the staff is friendly. read more

Disappointed Costco member, James Peterson # 111824677724. I recently purchased Oscar Mayer bacon from Costco, the last 2 times 2 of the 8 pls were worthless, all fat. One could not have gotten enough bacon to make one BLT sandwich. Today I opened a cup of Kirkland yogurt, expiration date of 15th May 2017 and it is molded. Be assured I am not a individual that complains but this is unacceptable. If I didn't pay you/visa you would be taking legal action, but I have no recourse. I have been very happy with Costco until this week. The mater of the bacon was discussed with you employe and was told to send the problem through your suggestion box which I did. The bacon situation is on Oscar Mayer, but you are selling an inferior product, but the Kirkland brand is yours and in both cases I am the loser. My phone number 770 416 6566. I had one of the worst experiences shopping at the Costco in Duluth. I was shopping with my twin girls with medical needs and once at checkout the cashier wasn't able to check me out because I had my husbands membership card. I wasn't aware of the policy and asked for a supervisor. (WORST EXPERIENCE EVER) El the supervisor came over and instead of explaining their policy he basically was laughing and attacking me long story short. I asked for my husbands card back and he refused! "How else is my husband going to come back and purchase everything?" Since he wasn't any help I asked if he could empty my buggy so I can leave with my twins and he said NO! We can bring you an empty buggy and you can transfer your kids! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I waited for 10-15 minutes and they brought two buggy's over with stuff inside of it. "What sense does that make?" I was furious I grabbed both girls and walked out. Honestly this was ridiculous. And could've been avoided if he handled the situation better instead of laughing and being sarcastic. read more

I love Costco! I used to go to Sam's Club but there is just no comparison. The prices are lower, the selection is better, lots of healthy products, some even organic. Just a warning, their pizza in the foot court is absolutely amazing, better than most pizza chains. I picked up some protein powder and chicken burgers at a great price, love the selection here. read more

Okay so a friend of mine used to work there in the Wireless center and he shared his story with me. When he start he was very excited to be selling phone and saw it as a great start, but he quickly hit a wall when he start to see more of he's manager, a man by the name of Dave. as he described him he was a man who was used to having it he's way or the no way. When he found out that my friend was also friends with another guy working there Dave told him that he would have never even consider him for a job. He was available to work a many days during the week but was only put to work two or three and when he asked for more hours, his manager literally told him " Either you work with I'm giving you or you can walk." I've been shopping here since they opened some years back, all of the following good quality at good, sometimes amazing, prices: prescription glasses for many years, fine; stationery items, ; Einstein bagels, half price;Kirkland (their own brand) lox, good quality; good decaf coffee beans before they dropped them and forced me to Amazon; pitted Kalamata olives; Parmesan Reggiano hunks; diabetic vitamin packs, fish oil; the best jumbo Virginia peanuts; good pistachios shelled and if feeling sybaritic enough unshelled; some frozen appetizers at Xmas which were good; 2 boxes of 36 count full-size plain Hershey bars at Halloween for about $18/box, best money I spend all year for the joy it gives me and the neighborhood kids, always avoiding other types of candy because of the nut/nut facility thing; the occasional item which just strikes my fancy; great packaged lobster salad from Maine; individual serving cups of hummus. Have never bought their rotisserie chickens but my wife loves them and buys them regularly, and she's the health person; nor any prepared frozen food since I don't need it, can't store it and rather dislike the idea - had a sample bit of an Angus burger today - don't understand the logic of eating that kind of food and not as good as a fresh one of lesser beef. One of my sons regularly buys their meat, birthday cakes and holiday pumpkin pies - the beef at Xmas was the best I've had in decades - real beef taste, no faint taste of liver; bday cakes as good as Publix; until this year pp's seemed gummy, but they're now properly custardy. Buy a slice of pizza on every visit since I generally have avoid it, and theirs more than fine, as is hot dog. As an Atlantan reacted negatively to their switch to Pepsi at the food court, but gives me a chance to taste it, and neither company is on my favorites list. I like a lot that they treat their employees so well that the Wall Street analysts hate them, since I hate the analysts for their lack of regard for ordinary people. Store is fine even if I always get a little disoriented in it, but hey maybe that's part of the plan. Almost always feel that I'm getting the best or near it with good value for money, and that I'm not paying to make myself feel valued by patronizing a particular store, the way they want you to do at places like Whole Foods. Why is someone paying me so much money for what I do? - better go to some fancy store to convince myself I'm special. What I don't like. Not much, but I got $28 back on my executive membership last year (no Costco American Express card so I just get 2% of purchases) whereas when I upgraded I was told that at a minimum I'd get enough to pay for the basic membership - $50 or so. A small thing, but unless I missed it it is not Costco's way not to have informed its executive members of any policy change. A couple of things I didn't like on my visit today. They were selling a nice looking LED desk lamp with a long neck, making it very functional looking. Only $11 - put one in the cart until I looked further and saw that is only provided 400-500 lumens, about half a 60 watt bulb. Disappointed because I expect an intelligence to function before items are put into Costco's stores, like Target, and unlike Wal-Mart. Also put a nice HP under $200 OfficeJet all-in-one in the cart, wondering whether like some new HP devices you can't use off-brand refilled cartridges. Luckily, another customer remarked on it so found that not only would it use only HP cartridges but HP counted your copies and there was an HP club you could join to keep you supplied, allegedly at a good price - ah, if you've kept up with HP corporate doings - the lengths to which desperate companies will go. I know it's unrealistic and I shouldn't expect it even of Costco, but I was very disappointed in them that they'd sell the thing, without letting their customers know, and to end this on a positive note, I wouldn't expect the last from any other company but Costco, sort of like the way you'd always buy a Kenmore appliance and not worry about getting a good one, until I bought one assembled in Mexico and found out after the warranty expired that some noisy, inaccessible bolts had never been Loc-tited so you got to hear them whenever the compressor went on - my last Kenmore purchase. I hope Costco never goes that way. read more

I like this Costco but not as much as the Mall of Georgia location. It's not as well stocked or as well organized, but I do enjoy shopping here. I'm not quite sure why the Mall of Georgia store stocks some items that the Duluth store does not have but I prefer the selection at the other store. read more

I love the products at Costco but I don't like the customer service at this location. I would buy more if I didn't get extra and unnecessary suspicious treatments when I buy, I buy every single item. You know the treatment when you are followed or single guys begging for your attention, so annoying. Anyways, the products are top quality and if you like to eat healthy or not, there are a wide variety to choose from. The $55 membership is totally worth it. But the good customer service should be felt by all customers that comes into the store. read more

This review is strictly for the food court section of this Costco. First of all, the service is atrocious. The employees have an attitude towards you like they have better things to do than serve you. Second of all, the food. Don't even get me started on the food. I once heard an employee tell another employee making a pizza to stop using their bare hands. Can I say gross. They have gloves for a reason. I mean I would understand bare hands if they were chefs, but clearly they give their employees gloves for a reason. That absolutely made me lose my appetite. Then I had to wait. And wait for our whole pizza to come out for more than 40 minutes. It was not even busy and by looking at order numbers on other pizzas, we realized that people who came way after us were receiving their pizzas before ours. Clearly they made a mistake, which there was no apology for whatsoever. We were told to wait longer and when we received our pizza finally, the toppings looked like they were hurriedly thrown on. When we showed attitude because we weren't pleased, which I admit was bad on our part, the employee freaked out and threw our receipt at us. She then proceeded to bring another employee over, who actually apologized instead even though she did nothing wrong and explained to us that they made a mistake and started our pizza the second we came to pick it up (which explained why the pizza looked terrible). Even though in the end we just took the pizza home after the explanation, and we will probably be coming back to this location to shop, we will not be visiting the food court again. This entire experience left a sour taste in our mouth and I'm warning people to stay away from there until they decide to get their act together and fire the employees who clearly should not be working in the service industry. This is coming from someone who also works in the service industry. Looking through other reviews and tips, obviously we weren't the only ones who had to deal with rude employees at this location. i have been shopping at this CostCo since the day it opened. Have bonded with all the employees, and I make it a point to welcome and greet new employees. When i notice someone i haven't seen before, i introduce myself and jokingly let them now i am a VIM (Very Important Member). The staff are great, greeting me everytime i walk in, and even remembering my "weekly", yes, I said "weekly" purchases. They even tease me when i spend less than $100, trying to figure out what i forgot. I have read other reviews, and I have NEVER, and I do mean NEVER, encountered rudeness or lack of concern for the customers. The return policy is fair, the quality of their merchandise is exceptional. Yes, there are some days busier than others, so you will encounter long lines, but isn't that to be expected with the high membership, and quality of products. Some of the staff has become like family. As far as their hours, and closures are concerned, you should take the time to watch the CostCo documentary. They are a family-oriented business, working in a way that is fair to their employees. Yes, 5 stars everyday from me, even on the busy Saturday mornings. read more

I've been a Costco fan and card holder for several years, even though the nearest store isn't convenient to drive to, and I only shop there 3-4 times a year. However, I may never shop there again after my daughter was treated very poorly by a cashier and management today. As I am 'disabled', thankfully she does 95% of the grocery/errand shopping. We had a few 'return' items that needed to be made at Costco and Sam's Clubs so she made the rounds today. She is a 25 year old, college educated, well groomed young woman and had no problems returning the items at either store. I had added her name to my Sam's Card, but for whatever reason neglected to add her name to my Costco account. After successfully returning the items at Costco she shopped for awhile and proceeded to the cash register to check out using my Costco card. (We also have identical addresses, credit/debit cards with identical banking institutions, etc..) The cashier denied the card because her photo was not on it, called the 'Manager' on duty and he proceeded to lecture her loudly on why the purchases were being denied, despite the previous transactions being accepted. She tried to explain that I was physically unable to come to Costco but they were having none of it. Why one simple phone call could not have sufficed and solved the problem is beyond me. She was extremely embarrassed and has vowed to never step foot in another Costco store again. This type of rude behavior is not what Costco has represented in the past. Weird review, I know. What could be wrong with Costco? Everything there is made to be hassle-free and the quality is pretty good in most things. My problem with this one in particular is the behavior of the other shoppers there. Tell me; Is it just me? I am an older white guy and I shop there usually with an African American friend. We've been there maybe 4 times-and 2 out of those 4 times we've been rudely jostled-i.e., bodily pushed by female Korean shoppers. #1: We're on line to check out and there was a bit of a queue, but everyone was relaxed and polite. I feel something on my arm and I realize a Korean woman was pushing me out of the way to cut the line. She rammed her buggy into mine to get in front of me, and the check-out person smiled at her and checked off her receipt. I was pretty much stunned and when I said something to the check-out person she just rolled her eyes and said "Have a nice day, sir" (not in a nice way). Time # 2. I standing in the snacks aisle, browsing while my friend is putting some items into his buggy just around the corner and suddenly someone pushes me up against the merchandise display and I turn to see a young Korean girl deliberately giving me the elbow, although the aisle is empty. She joins 2 older shoppers-mother and grand mother perhaps-and they all turn and give me the once over. Can this be coincidence? Why would the checkout person allow someone to cut the line right in front of her, let alone push another shopper? read more

Asians.....specifically asian moms galore! If you white and go here on a sunday you will be a minority lol. I have never had a costco membership because where I grew up there was not a costco or walmart (there was a target and whole foods though) so I was curious what the hype was. So I decided since it is only $50 a year why not try it out. This place seems to be a family store as buying in bulk and cheap seems to be the main slogo. This place is packed and popular. Lot of items for very cheap (when consider the amount you get). I think this might be my place to stock up on stuff when time is money and I could be doing better things with my time than food shopping. The only neg is the quality seems to be meh. A little better than walmart and probably as par to publix, but Im a whole foods and TJ's girl so probably will stick to buying household needs here and maybe some meal prep stuff when convenient. Kind of cool that you can basically come here every night and make dinner out of all the samples (you would meet your daily calorie intake for dinner easily). Overall, seems to be a popular place for asians to save money, add me to the list! read more
