I've found that for some reason this location is the cheapest of all the Costcos for gas. I don't know why, but I think it's awesome. I also like how this one is far enough away from the interstate it's not super busy. Most of the pumps have 3 lines on each side and it goes by fast. Getting in and out of the pump area is also simple. No complaints! read more

Gotta be honest... although prices are great here, most of the attendants aren't. There's only one that I see keep "law and order". So many times I've come to this station (every week) and see people cut across the isle in front of another car in line. Attendants do nothing. Visit Date: Weekly This gas station is located conveniently close to my work, so I'm here every week filling up. It saves me 15-20 cents over the other gas stations in town. There's always an attendant on hand in case you have problems with the pumps and they don't allow windshield washing so it keeps the lines moving quickly! The lines can get a bit long when it's prime-time (afternoons, Fridays or before a holiday) so I try to go in off-peak times. The only con is that they do not take credit cards other than American Express, but when I saw the sign that shows you can get the Costco American Express with no annual fee and you earn cash back on your purchases, it was a no-brainer - I signed up and haven't looked back! read more

Cheapest gas in town! Make sure to go during non-busy hours in the morning or on weekdays during work hours minus lunch time. Luckily if you're timing isn't perfect, the lines go by pretty quickly because of the three pumps per aisle and aren't enormously long going into the street like the Costco Gas in Mission Valley. Some of the best gas prices around, it can have a long wait if you hit peak hours like when people getting off work at 5-6pm, but the price is what brings you here so the short wait is worth it. They only take ATM and you must be a Costco Member. read more

Apparently this is the cheapest Costco gas in San Diego (off by less than a dollar compared to other Costco gas stations). I only come around to this one when I'm in the area, which is pretty rare. Compared to other Costco gas stations I've been to, this has got to be the smallest one .. Which also leads to a longer wait! I've never had a problem here so no complaints from me just yet. $0.20 cheaper per gallon... 5 freakin' stars. We Pay a membership and reap the rewards... So you have to wait 5-15 minutes. Plan ahead. Bring a book or listen to a podcast (most are free on iTunes) on your iPod or iPhone. It could be worse. Do you remember the '70's? I'm pretty blessed to live right down the street from this location. This Costco gas is easily the least crowded one that I have been to in SD. It does get packed at times but the layout and number of pumps really makes the line go by really fast. Prices here are usually about $.20 cheaper than regular gas stations. Lines aren't nearly as long as many other locations. Most of the lines have 3 nozzles which makes the wait shorter. Prices can't be beat for the quality of gas you get. Their gas has similar additives as Chevron and Shell for the price of Arco. There are attendants there to help. Have your Costco card and debit card ready before you get to the front of the line. read more

Poway has got it made, their Costco Gas station is quite larger than most I've visited in San Diego county. Their station is not nearly as busy as Santee or Mission Valley either. The great thing here is the fact Costco built three pumps per aisle instead of the usual two. Like always, Costco Gas prices always beat everybody's in town, even crappy Arco. read more

This is such a convenient gas station for me. I usually get gas either on my way home from work or on my way to work. Just like any other Costco, lines are inevitable. They do go by quick. I also believe they open pretty early and close late. There were a few times when one if the workers helped me pump my gas which was awesome! They were pretty friendly. Second, they have 3 pumps for every line, except the far right, so the lines moves quickly and efficiently. A Costco membership is worth it solely on gas savings if it is your primary place to get gas. Don't listen to naysayers saying the quality of gas isn't up to pay... I've monitored over 150k miles between two cars comparing Costco gas to "top tier" brands like shell and chevron and on average there is little to no difference. Costco always has a great price on gas & even though the lines are long sometimes, they seem to move pretty quickly. What I really like about this gas station is the gas attendant Melanie. She's great! I have a hard time pumping my gas because I'm in a wheelchair and plus I can take way too long. Whenever I pull into the gas station I always seem to find her and she's always so helpful. She always has a smile on her face and she is always great to talk to. Costco gas stations are never that much fun, but this one is terrible. The people that work there are nice, the price is usually 10 cents cheaper than anywhere else. So since I sucked it up and got a Costco card I have never looked back. Costco is awesome and the gas is so much cheaper than out in town. It may seem like the line for the gas is not worth the wait but believe me it moves along pretty quick and they have tons of pumps. They only have regular and premium so if you are looking to fill up your sports car with Supreme you might have to go elsewhere. But seriously with the American Express card and the Costco membership you get money back based on how much you spend in the year.
