Been coming here for the past couple months instead of the Skokie location, and I love it. Its a little bit out of the way but the drive is nice. The pharmacy allowed my dog to be on a "no insurance plan". It was on chemo and a bunch of other support drugs. Less than a third of the price of Walgreens and CVS. I had shopped many places. The photo department rocks. The best quality for the price. Unfortunately their film development machine has broken and Costco is not going to fix or replace. Like all big box stores once I love a new product they hook me on with their samples, it is gone and I cannot find it again. My only real complaint is the long lines. Many times I am in the area and purchase gas but go elsewhere for groceries because I don't have 20 minutes to check out. Avoid like the plague on Saturdays. Does accept American Express, check of member with member card and good old cash. read more

Who doesn't love Costco. They have great prices on everything and the customer service is amazing. My gripe are some of the rude customers who block the isles to wait 5 minutes for a sample. I wish they would stop doing samples because most of the "samplers" are clearly just going to eat without any intention of buying the product and get in the way of customers. Best place to buy your tires, I tell everyone to get their tires here, they fill with nitrogen and include road and hazard insurance, plus they are cheaper than the competition. read more

Photo Lab here is definitely unique with the customer service that is provided and fits most of my photography needs. Wendy the manager for the photo lab knows what she is doing and is always very helpful. She allows for a personable experience that one may not get from this B&M superstore. I can say this because I have had dealings with other Costco photo labs and find myself thinking why did I not go to Wendy? All our holiday cards in addition to the general printing of images are done here and done right. One year our holiday card was not centered correctly, cutting off a an ear in the picture. No worries 150 more printouts made. The coloring was also off on an enlargement, but no problems, the settings were fixed and a new enlargement made. When it comes down to this super store giant the goods and service are standard. The staff headed by Wendy at this Photo Lab makes business at this location exceptional. The place gets busy and rightly so during holidays. Get all your planning done on time and dealing with crowds and lines and crazy customers can be cut down to a minimum. read more

This is a review of only the tire service. They don't take reservations, are way too busy and their customer service is poor. Waited outside in my car for 45 minutes to be 1st in line and then they opened the doors 10 minutes early and 3 people jumped in front of me. Manager knew I was 1st as I had asked him a question 30 minutes before it opened. Will never buy tires here again. read more

I am very disappointed lately with Costco products. Needed to go back and return items 3 times within the last 3 weeks. 1) large bag great looking Grapefruits, as I started peeling I revealed 50 % of each grapefruit was very dry- not attractive enough to eat. Lady said that there was a drought ... well please do not sell this product to us... 2)large container of organic spinach - all wet inside, not appetizing to consume 3) today I purchase a package ($30.00) of wild caught salmon, IT REALLY SMELLED BAD!!! It took me a while to become a member but I'm so glad I did. Totally worth the membership fee. The fish and meat selections are fresh daily and the frozen food they offer is of the highest quality. Costco is always rotating the selections of products. Always keeping things fresh new and different. The staff at this store is very good the employees seem to like Costco and are helpful to the customers. Great flower selection at an affordable price. It is pretty much like any other Costco, especially with the store layout and with what they have. They do have plenty parking, even though they have a Home Depot right next to it (they have their own parking as well). I was there on Sunday, and it was pretty busy, but with Costco being off of a main road, there wasn't much traffic backup at all. Costco was pretty busy, but they had most of the checkout lanes open to make sure there wasn't too long of a wait. The only warning I would have for shoppers: make sure you check your produce purchases as some of them may have mold. I've seen many fruits and vegetables already showing signs of mold. I was the victim of a hit and run in the parking lot in Glenview while I was shopping around 1:00 p.m. on October 16, 2018. I spoke to a manager and asked to see security camera footing. He replied that there are only security cameras inside the warehouse and a the front door. His actual words were "WE DON'T CARE ABOUT THE PARKING LOT". I had to pay my $1,000 deductible. I emailed the Midwest Regional Manager, John Gaherty, as well as the CEO, Craig Jelinek. Their response was that they do not intend to install security cameras. They did not take responsibility for causing a hit and run, which is a felony, due to their lack of protecting their members' safety and security. I will no longer shop at night because I am afraid of my car being hijacked or my purse being stolen. Moreover, there is NEVER anyone to help in the parking lot to help load big items too heavy for me to lift. read more

This Costco is always clean, organized, and has ample parking. The lines move fairly quickly and are typical of what you would expect from Costco. Gas prices are almost always 5-10 cents lower than surrounding gas stations, but the prices do reflect Cook county gas tax rates (which are higher than Lake county). The store tends to be a bit more crowded than the location in Mettawa. In terms of overall quality and what we expect from Costco, the location in Glenview is among the best. I go here frequently and would recommend this store to anyone else looking for a Costco. read more

Yea, they've got a lot of stuff in bigger boxes, but you've gotta know what to get here to make it worth the trek, and the haul back. If you're into quality smoked salmon, come here for the good stuff, already put on a platter for you. Also, their manufacturing plant puts out the best chocolate cookie recipe this side of the Mississippi. I tried getting the recipe, but the bakers just put the frozen stuff they get from the plant into the oven for the prescribed amount of time... and know NOTHING else... or so they claim. Anyway, prices are not the best, but the packages are bigger. So if that means something to you (or your party guests), that would be another reason to shop here. Their technology section sometimes has prices that match Abt, or decent online resellers, but it's a hit or miss. And their web site doesn't do a good enough job showing their products to make CostCo an effective comparison point when you're shopping online. Nothing beats our Glenview Costco. I love the selection of organics here in the produce section, as well as packaged, fish and meat. Last summer, this Costco fully won my heart over by importing REAL ITALIAN gelato (lemon and pistachio flavors sold separately). This summer, I am praying for nocciola and straciatella flavors. And of course, last but not least, who can get enough of the aisle samples you can gorge yourself on, from pizza bites to cheeses to lamb chunks. mmmmmmmmmm read more

Got passport pictures taken. Went back about 30 minutes later to pick them up, and was told they would be rejected because I was wearing a white shirt in the pictures. After I said I would take them anyway, the employee told me I couldn't purchase simple passport pictures without a Costco card. I had to have a supervisor come over and intervene. Excellent choices, many food options, and discounted gas. Yes, the parking lot can become bananas during crowded times. Avoid going on weekends where it can get really crowded. This Costco is right across the street from my workplace and I tend to visit at least once a week. I normally come here for the food at the food court, which is delicious and also a great value, but sometimes I come to fill up on gas or get little odds and ends for the office. I have no complaints about this place other than the fact that some of the items are priced higher here than at other Costco locations. read more

Hands down the best Costco in northwest burbs. I know friends who pass their own Costco just to come to ours. Bought mountains of food, 2 laptops, 1 tablet and 2 phones here over the years. Fresher products and informative staff who go through anything and every question you have. Be aware that when you purchase hearing aids from the vendor in Costco you are at their mercy for repairs. One is readily able to get an appointment for a hearing exam but when a repair is needed you have to wait ten days to two weeks. Their excuse is they don't have enough help to spend time on repairs. read more

How can you go wrong with a Costco? The variety always impresses me and I always end up walking out with more stuff than I came in for! Great for gift baskets and they always have sampling of some of their foods as well. I will be impressed if you can't find what you are looking for here. I love Costco!!!! I bought my newest cell phone here a month ago. When you buy it at the kiosk at Costco, they give you so much more than your provider's store would do. When my phone stopped working last night, I brought it back to get a new phone. At first they were resistant saying it was my fault it wasn't working. I have been to a few other Costco Optical departments but have not been able to find anyone as helpful as Chris. I had to return two pairs of glasses due to people at other locations bending them beyond repair. He was so helpful and actually listened to the issues I had with how other Costco locations messed up my glasses in the past. No other grocery/supply store compares to the quality and selection of this place. The meat selection here is incredible. I have had steak, crab legs, sea food, and ground beef for burgers and I can honestly say all of this is top of the line. Don't want to forget their pizza or hot dogs, both of which are killer. I must admit though, it's frustrating shopping here then going somewhere else because you can't help but compare prices and what you could get with the same amount of money spent at a smaller store. What I don't get is the customer service team. They are always fully staffed, but customers are never a priority. I don't get why there is a line of customers at membership and returns, and solely 2 to 3 of the 5 to 6 are actually working to help customers. The other staff either chat to each other, ignore the customers, or do admin work, and ignore the line. I don't get why each of them do not serve a customer, and work as a team to get us out of line quickly. I was at the Oakbrook location, yesterday, and I was impressed how quickly two people worked returns and membership their priority was to get us helped and out of line. read more

I would like to show my sincere gratitude to the guys working at Costco Tire Center in Glenview. I have been buying tires here for two cars and I was about to buy another 4 tires for my third car since two tires are older than others and keep loosing air. Since he wasn't busy at the moment, he carefully checked my tire and told me that my tires still had a little more life and he can reseal the tire for about $15. He spent about 20 min to do so. Only inconvenience is that they won't give you tire alignment, and so you need to include it for your next auto maintenance afterward. They started to take an appointment at https://www.costcotireappointments.com/login and I saw time slots available between 2pm to 7:45 pm. You can call them but they are not able to answer the phone right away, especially when they are busy. You can also make an appointment on site and they still does FCFS as well. When they are super busy between the seasons, they ask you to come back for a little issue like mine instead of waiting for a long time. They always give you air right away without waiting. They also has great deals for services as I mentioned about resealing tires. I was suggested to get a package for replacing the tip of valves when I install the new tires next week in order to prevent air leakage. That will be a great idea for my old car. Changing to winter tires were around $40. I recently had a flat tire and they replaced it with 10% of its cost. 10% was the wear of the flat tire. I only needed to pay $30 or so for a new tire. It was a great protection and warranty they gave us. Thank you Costco! read more

Fresh meat section is scary .... had occasion to buy fresh meat there a month ago. Picked up a pack of top round and it was all bloody. Nowhere to get wipes or wipe down my hands - Yuck! Bloody hands touching many products and surfaces throughout the store is a health disaster waiting to happen! Contacted Costco and although I got a quick response, Glenview never contacted me and a month later does not look like they have addressed the problem of having wipes available in the meat section. Like most of my guy friends, I hate shopping, but love Costco. I don't mind walking around this place because they have everything under one roof. The staff is the BEST. I'm friends with a lot of of the cashiers, stockers, snack people, greeters, etc. Prices are great too. Definitely a Costco fan. read more
