Great prices on many items. Great Kirkland/Costco brands. And the return policy can't be beat. Even for just one person like me the has been worth it so far. The lower prices on many items make more than up for it. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I have not had any problems. that (One reviewer mentioned that Costco does not always have something in stock that the person likes/wants. And yes. I get hooked on some of their stuff as well. But from what I understand, Costco only keeps stocking/buying items that they can sell at their prices, and that are bought by enough people. So what is available has always somewhat changed/rotated. I still miss the Mori-Nu tofu. But unfortunately, any store is not going to keep something in stock just for me and mayby a handful of other people.) read more

Produce and prepared items actually had some rotting items just lying out there - is nobody from the store checking on this? Gross! Some of the baked good were hard to the touch indicating that they were stale. Overall stocking of clothing was not keeping up to the pace of buyers. Disappointing Good luck trying to get a handicap parking space, they are always taken so my elderly parents are SOL. Not enough counter people so the lines are needlessly long. Also, not the cleanest Big Box store that I've been to - the management needs to get on the ball here.... read more

I did it! I joined Costco! After much convincing by all of my Costco-loving friends, I'm now in the club. And hey $60/year for the standard membership (which is all I need), is way less than I thought it was going to cost. Bulk-shopping will definitely take some getting used to. You feel like you're spending sooo dang much (and you are), but because it's all in bulk, there really are savings happening. My husband and I were shook at our bill on our first trip, but had to remind ourselves how long all of the goods will actually last us. So far, we've really only gone for nonperishables. We're a family who eats majority fresh/whole foods, but there are certainly cases you need shelf items. We have a camping trip coming up and we got lots of good snacks, drinks, and frozen goods to bring along. I was pleasantly surprised by the great brand options that have quality ingredients (you gotta take the time to search for them though). It's important to me to eat cleaner, and feed my kids this way, so I was very happy to see this variety to choose from. We didn't venture much into the meat/produce section so we'll have to explore that in the future. As for other items on site, like household products, kitchen items, clothing, electronics, and appliances... yeah there are some stellar deals here. We noted that we'd look here for our next TV that we'll be in need of soon. Honestly, I'm really not a fan of the vibe/atmosphere of huge box stores like this, as it just feels a bit cold, dingy, and always packed with people, but that's just what you get when you're shopping wholesale... so I'll take the benefits over the negatives. Excellent customer service by Ryan, the store manager! I locked myself out of my car because the battery was dead in the key fob. I left my phone in the car so I couldn't call anybody to help. After asking for help at the customer service desk, Ryan went in troubleshooting mode immediately. He assessed the situation and found a battery in the store toolbox that fit my fob. Buyer beware, do not accept an appliance delivery from Costco without having the delivery person taking it completely out of the box and filming the condition of the unit. Also check to see it has feet. Any hidden damage due to delivery or shipping not reported in 90 days voids your warranty from the manufacturer and Costco. Now have a $800 8-month old paperweight that no one will take responsibility for. The damage was completely hidden at the time of delivery. read more

This Grafton Costco used to be a great shopping experience but within the last few years, 2023,2024,2025 it has been really disappointing. They seem to be hit and miss on keeping basic staples instock like veggie trays, Hint flavored water, Black tea, almond crackers, and sweet potato crackers, chicken, noodles and veggie pre-made dinners, just to nam e a few items. Their buyers cannot seem to understand how to stay in stock on these basics and others and it's not getting any better. I guess Meijer right down the street from them might be a better option......for example they are never out of veggie trays! read more

There is typically great customer service at this store. However, this morning, I was very disappointed. I opened my Maps to find out what time the store was open. I saw 9 AM. Drove 30 minutes from my home as this is the closest location. As I scanned in, a woman informed me that I couldn't shop until 10 AM. Apparently executive members are the only one permitted to enter at nine. I told her I saw online the store was open at 9 (Maps apparently only shows "Google" store hours). So I guess I made a mistake relying on that, but I really can't believe an exception couldn't have been made ONE time in the millions of times I've been there over the years. I told the woman I've been a member forever and have spent tens of thousands of dollars there. She was a tad on the rude side. I went to the service desk and they explained the same thing. I just can't believe one time in my life I can't get an exception. I would think someone would've told me "no problem, we will let you in this time, but just remember is for executive members only at 9 AM. Very disappointed. read more

My first Costco! Even though it's been a solid decade of frequenting this location, I can't believe I never Yelped it!? Well, crossing that off my bucket list now. I really do love the wide variety of items and services that Costco has to offer. The number of cakes I've bought for work and personal events, groceries, home decor and textiles, and literal tons of food over the years, and getting a percentage back makes the trip all that much more rewarding. The single reason that I can't give my favorite store five stars is their utterly ridiculous policy about multiple transactions. I buy stuff for work on a regular basis and need a separate receipt for reimbursement purposes. But the grief I get from the cashiers, "You don't have a business account so I can't do that for you, it's policy" is outrageous. So to get around it, I do my personal shopping and then come back and do my work shopping. I get more steps in the process, but man does it burn me! read more

First costco in the greater Milwaukee area. It's a great location. Not as crowded as the Kenosha branch, and the people working here are very friendly. The pharmacy is also super, with great technicians who will take their time for you and still be nice. I did have a rude cashier completely interrupt my inquiry with a customer rep yesterday, at which time the rep began working for the cashier instead of finishing taking care of me. Rude! On both their part. There i was, standing between two workers who decided to just ignore me, like I was a nuisance. So awkward. I was pretty upset, but decided to let it go and talk to a customer service rep at the service booth to finish my inquiry. The girl helping me there was so much more knowledgeable and pleasant and kind, that I can forgo the rude treatment from before. read more

Love the produce & beer selections. A case of Stella is a bargain at $25. The cut flowers & roses are a serious deal & last weeks. I usually grab a $1.50 dog & drink on the way out. But, I wish they would serve fresh minced onion daily. Sometimes they look & smell multiple days old. Shop in the morning to avoid long checkout lines. Not all registers are operational, pallets of product usually block off the first 2 registers from use. The store is cleaner & more organized than Sam's Club. We joined Costco, as soon as they moved to the Grafton area. We formerly had been members of Sam Club, but found Costco more to our liking. We love their great selection of wines, along with Jerry, their resident wine expert. He is frequently there to offer wine suggestions both when asked, and when we're looking for something in particular. Last year we were planning a trip to Napa, and he gave us some great suggestions of vineyards and wineries to visit! The store is also very clean and brightly lit. This is so much better than the Sam's Club that we use to go to in Milwaukee. We have also noticed that that check out system that they use is painless. No long lines and very helpful clerks, keep us coming back. We also LOVE the people that are offering samples of various foods throughout the store. This is definitely a great marketing tool. We have bought more items, simply by getting a taste of them first. Definitely join Costco over Sam's Club! We're certainly glad we did! read more

I swear to God, I'm going to punch the next person who is all "oh, I never eat lunch before I go to Costco, I just gorge myself on the abundant and splendid samples". That's bullshit, man. I've been to 3 area Costcos and never been particularly impressed on that front. This one, in fact, had NO samples on a Saturday around 11am except for the annoying vitamin drink people ("drink this every day and it'll cure your hemorrhoids and you'll never have another headache, swear to god") and a VitaMix blender person who had one of those State Fair headsets on. Meh. The stock is pretty much the same as the Costco closer to home and their liquor selection is middling (Pewaukee is best IMO). I did find most of what I was looking for on the staples/food front. Their gas isn't a deal here - priced exactly the same as every other station, and they really pushed hard for me to upgrade my membership. That's really getting annoying BTW especially when they kind of won't let it go (like this location). I feel like I need to step up to the register and loudly proclaim "NO, I DO NOT WANT TO UPGRADE TODAY KTHANX!" right away. read more

I saw something interesting at the Grafton Costco today that reaffirmed my approval of this company. A woman - sitting on the floor, breastfeeding her baby. She was out of the way of foot traffic but clearly visible to all who passed, including employees and managers. She was not asked to move. She was not asked to leave. She was not harassed in any way and shoppers, both male and female walked by and gave her the space she needed to perform this loving and natural act. She was completely covered up and did not pose a threat to anyone who might believe she was doing something wrong in public. Kudos to Costco for not interfering with this woman's right to breastfeed her baby in a public place. read more

I have a love / hate relationship with Costco. I feel like I am getting great deals, but my wallet always hurts afterwards since most things are bulk buys! We are only a 2 person household, but we get our paper products here, meat (to freeze), wine / alcohol, and other various dry goods. The other thing that is a great deal is actually video games - typically $15-$20 less than full price for a small selection of new games (Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One). We also get bags for our vacuum sealer appliance here. They only thing we really don't buy from here is produce - there is simply way too much for 2 people to finish before it goes bad. But, if we are having a party or have a need for a lot of produce, it could be a good option! read more

I piggyback off my sister's executive membership and I just love Costco! As a single lady living in a studio with a tiny fridge, I don't buy my meats/fruits/veggies in bulk but the rest is definitely fair game! Huge bags of chips/pop corn for the price of one puny little bag at a regular grocery store makes it worth the trip out to Grafton! My other favorite thing about Costco- the samples!! Generally, I'm not a fan of reviewing national chains on Yelp because when you've seen one, you've seen them all. I'll make an exception for Costco. I don't get up here as often as I'd like to anymore. It's a long drive from the south side to Grafton to go grocery shopping (and I refuse to go to the one in Pewaukee out of an irrational hatred for Waukesha County). Your first time in Costco is like a religious experience. It's a tribute to consumerism in the best possible way, says this pinko leftist. As the name suggests, it's literally a warehouse loaded with products ready to be bought in bulk. Everything in the store is tip-top quality. I have never had a problem with any of Costco's meats or produce. Their processed foods are good enough and make a good side dish from time to time. They have the cheapest booze in the area and it comes in comically sized containers. I bought a bottle of vodka last year that I'm still working on. For the most part, other members keep out of your way and are friendlier than people at most other stores. People will just strike up conversations with you as you compare prices between things on the selves. It's a little refreshing, actually. For a normal trip, I can rarely get out of here without spending at least $200. That said, when I do I'm getting all of my cooking staples that I'm going to use for the next month, and can just supplement with the regular grocery store. The regular membership pays for itself easily; the executive membership which they sorta annoyingly hawk at the checkout desk is also a good deal, because you get a rebate check at the end of the year that will probably total more than you spent on the membership. read more

Love me some Costco! A short drive from MKE to Grafton, this Costco location lies just off 43 and surrounded by a lot of other shops that can make for a multi-purpose visit. I've been a member at Costco since it opened. I've never been disappointed and frankly find it addicting to browse the aisles and selection. Their meat and seafood department is outstanding and packages/prepares in-house. Their spirit offerings trump any big box grocery store especially from a price stand-point. And, if you buy something and it doesn't suite your needs-- return it with no questions asked. Fill up your gas tank while you're there and grab something to go or sit munching on a hotdog, ice cream cone, sandwich, slice of pizza....and enjoy the people watching. Ah yes, what a fantastic place. You can get everything you likely need when purchasing large ticket items. From tires and cars, to diamond dazzled jewelry, you can pretty much get anything you want. A great selection of TVs, computers, clothing, books, DVDs, wine/beer/liquor, this place has it all... including caskets (at least online). Weird. If you sign up for Costco, you basically get free membership to American Express. So, why would you not want to get a membership? Also, when doing the Executive membership, it basically pays for itself. There is little risk in getting it versus the non-Executive membership. All I gotta say is read the not-so-fine print. The only thing that I wish they had was a dressing room to try on the clothes. I'm told one will be installed soon, so that's good. Until then, purchase it, try it on in the bathroom or take it home... The pizza is an excellent deal and extremely tasty. For $9 you get a gigantic take and bake pizza. It will feed an army. Probably Dick Armey too. Also, get the made in front of you chocolate and almond dipped ice cream bars. They are AMAZING and only $1.50 if I recall correctly. I bought some tires there. It was a REALLY good deal, but I traded in that car before it was worth it. With the tires, you can pretty much order anything, have them shipped to the location. They'll then get them installed, and pretty much maintain them for the life of the tire with FREE inflation pressure checks, tire balancing, tire rotations, as well as flat repairs. There 5 year free road hazard warranty. And, they fill with nitrogen. All of this, and the tires are generally cheaper than elsewhere too. How can you go wrong?!!??! With Costco membership, you get excellent deals on travel, and the use of Costco.com where there are even more great deals to be had. They really are trying to drive price down on the highest quality items... and you'll be refunded your membership at any time if you are dissatisfied. How can you go wrong? read more

I am not a huge fan of places where you have to buy a membership in order to shop, but I got a good deal on my home mortgage by purchasing the CostCo membership, so I went for it. Similar to Sam's Club, you can get good deals on bulk items. Since I am a single person, the main things I purchase are household supplies that don't have an expiration date. I wish they had a better selection of items like laundry detergent. I wouldn't suggest buying a membership unless you are in the market for a big ticket item you can save enough on to make up for the membership price. read more

Can't say enough positive things about this place. It all boils down to amazing customer service! Yes, it does cost $50 to join but it is well worth it. I use this for items that won't spoil and can stock up on large quantities for cheap. I go about once every two months with regular grocery shopping in-between those times. They treat you right at Costco. It is a zoo on Saturdays with all their samples and people getting their shopping done. Whenever the day or time is you can ask one of their employees and they will walk around with you and tell you where everything is. When it comes to coupons you don't even need to bring them. They just automatically apply that coupon if you are buying an item. When it comes to returns, exchanges, etc. it is no questions asked. I have returned items without all the packaging or forget a remote at home but they still take it back with full refund and completely trust me. Great place to shop at for bulk items. Living on the East Side, there are not a lot of options for Sam's Club or Costco. Knowing that I'd have a hike no matter where I decided, I chose to give Costco a try based on how my brother, who has had them in Memphis for years, raves about them. I really only go once every two months and get just a few select things, but really, my yearly membership is paid for in the savings I get on dog food and boneless, skinless chicken breast. Knowing that we're moving soon, I did a comparison of Sam's and Costco and found that Sam's was more expensive on almost everything I buy - usually by $2-$3 on things that are only around $10 in price in the first place. This is a good location for me, as well, because of the other stores in the area. I do have to drive 25 minutes to get to Grafton, but once I'm there I can get all my errands done at once, which is nice. The store is always clean and bright, something I've found to be a problem at some local Sam's Clubs. You can have lunch on the number of things they are sampling. The down sides are things you're always going to deal with with this kind of store - it's crazy busy on weekends with strolling folks who are oblivious to the aisles they're blocking trying to get to the free food and sometimes I'll find a product I love only to find out they're not carrying it anymore. For awhile they stopped carrying Iams dog food and when I asked I was told that Iams was now making their house brand dog food (Kirkland). I was told that I could buy a bag and use up to half of it to see if my dogs would adjust to it before I could no longer return it. I appreciate a policy like this - one or two bowls of food isn't enough to tell if my dogs will like it or if it will agree with them, so the ability to use up to half before making a decision is nice. The only other issue I've found is that there are only two in the city - meaning if you find something and these stores don't have it, you're kind of out of luck. read more

Love this place! I feel like Costco is to Sam's Club what Target is to Wal-Mart, having been a member at both places. Pretty much the same stuff, but just a little higher quality. Store is very clean and well laid out. Produce and meat selection, which is mainly what we go for, is fantastic. They have great fresh meat, sandwich meat, and a wide array of cheeses. Main drawback for me is that they harrass us every time we check out to upgrade our membership and save more money (get cash back). I can handle the reminder, but when the lady touches everything we buy and tells us how we can get a certain percentage back on each one, that's just annoying. read more

Dude I love Costco. Yes, it's a 20 - 25 minute drive from downtown milwaukee. But it's so worth it! I always end up buying more than I need, but I love it all so I'm happy. Great deals abound. I have always thought highly of all Costco locations; however I had never used their eye care services. I recently had my first check-up there. The people were extremely professional and wonderfully friendly. An added bonus to me was (as most of Costco) cost effective! I recommend this for anyone, especially if you are retired. read more

This tire center is just ridiculous. First, they don't know how to keep appointments. Second, once the car in is, no one person keeps working on it. CostCo. So much love for you........... 6 stars. If you are at ALL thrifty and enjoy getting deals and value for your buck, you will love your CostCo membership. I go here with my parents and stock up on all kinds of things that I know I'm gonna need long term and things that I know will not spoil. Also, it does not stop there. You can rent cars through CostCo, buy all your electronics, and find nearly EVERYTHING you could ever want. And best yet, they are giving you the best deals on it all. Trust me....... I call up moms on Wednesday, and I'm like, "wanna go to CostCo Saturday morning." She's like, no problem let's make it happen. I skip breakfast if I know I'm going to CostCo because I know I'm gonna get a belly FULL of free samples that are all delicious. I'm talking steak, salmon, stuffed grape leaves, goat cheese ravioli.... you know its all good. Then I'm like, OK I'm gonna buy some wine. If you're lucky, you'll get to run into the CostCo SOMMELIER who will describe the flavors and nuances of every bottle of wine in the place, which are all over 88 on the Wine Spectator list. This dude can sell ice to an eskimo. Before I know it, I got 5 bottles of wine under my arm and the adventure continues. Thank God they're only marked up 15%, the lowest wine markup practically in the country for average citizens like you and I. I've even seen the same bottles of wine at fancy restaurants in the cities I've lived in. YES, the nice restaurants in town shop at CostCo. You should too. Then if I still haven't woken up, I'm lucky if the energy drink dude is there giving out free water bottles of ZipFizz, all natural pick me up that I'm hooked on. I don't care if it has 4167% of my daily allowance of B12, I bought it at CostCo and CostCo can do no wrong. If this drink gives me some strange cancer, I will still be praising CostCo on my death bed. Not only that, if you all into labor relations and stuff, CostCo treats its employees well and gives them great benefits. You can FEEL this energy in the store because it is a POSITIVE, HAPPY place with GREAT energy. After I'm done shopping, I grab a huge awesome ice cream cone for like 99 cents and bounce out the door. Quality time with mom, and I'm buying Kashi and Clif bars at DEEP discounts. After this, it is time to go to the Highland House for a margarita. So much love, so many good Saturdays. I really dig Costco. They treat their employees well, their employees are friendly and helpful, the place is clean, the quality of the food is great. I buy a lot of produce there and non-members are always surprised that a warehouse store carries really high-quality produce. Yes, there's the occasional container of rough-looking blueberries, but the vast majority of the time, it's excellent. Blackberries, mangoes, citrus, avocados, bell peppers, organic spinach, apples, oranges, grapefruits...I could go on for a long time. Bakery: for a warehouse, it definitely exceeds expectations. I bought two huge sheet cakes ($17.99 each) for my daughter's birthday party, thinking I'll just get some cheapies since a bunch of 4- and 5-years olds won't care about the details, so long as there's frosting on top. I was delighted. They were waaaay better than any supermarket cake I've tried and decorated perfectly. Their muffins are wonderful, too. I tend to avoid giant muffins in general because they tend to be oily/buttery and I eyeball them at at least 500 calories each. At Costco, they're huge and probably have about 500 calories each, but they're not greasy and overdone - they're super-yummy. I occasionally pick up a dozen (mix and match flavors - my faves are double chocolate, pumpkin, cream cheese filled, French toast, apple crumb, and lemon poppyseed), put most in my freezer, and split a muffin three ways with my kids for dessert. Ready-to-eat meals: Costco sells entrees by weight so you can pop some on a plate, microwave, and eat. I love this. Their chicken alfredo is divine, and I sampled the mac-and-cheese I picked up for my kids. It's hands-down the best (and cheesiest) mac-and-cheese I've ever had. Store brand: Costco's store brand is Kirkland and they've done a great job getting winning recipes together. You can get a giant container (I think it's 64 oz) of *really* good organic salsa (medium) for $6. I grew up in Los Angeles eating Mexican food so I do have my salsa standards. Dairy prices getting you down? A gallon of milk is $2.55. Like organic eggs but can't afford them? You can get 18 for under $4. Wild salmon burger patties (soooo good) - $13/dozen. Frozen cheese pizzas: 4/$10, and they're tasty. Variety: Warehouse stores are going to be limited with their scope of inventory by nature. Costco, however, has a keen eye for certain products that may not be a staple everyone needs, it's something that's good enough to get anyway, and it never goes to waste. For me, it's the jalapeno artichoke dip. I think every Costco member knows what I'm talking about - it's phenomenal. It's a dip for chips and veggies, and for me, it's the new mayo. They have Cheerios but they also have my favorite Nature's Path flax seed cereal. They carry Yoplait and Dannon, but they also have Chobani and Fage. Sweets and booze: My office held an open house a few months ago and all the beer and wine came from Costco, as well as the desserts. Their wine and beer selection is amazing and although I don't frequent the liquor section, I've passed it and it's well-stocked with premium stuff. Brownie bites, cookies, candy, chips...yumyum. The clothing they carry is surprisingly good, too. I bought Sorel boots (that normally retail for over $100) at Costco a few years ago for $60. I'm wearing Calvin Klein jeans that I bought there for $25, and I just recently bought a Michael Kors down coat for $40. Seriously. And their food court? Giant hot dog and soda for $1.50. I get it every time because that all-beef hot dog is a gift from God, and I fancy myself a healthy-lifestyle person. Oh, the optometrist! Love her! My contacts cost less than half of what I used to pay at my old optician's store, and my (very stylish) glasses were way cheap, too - with Norma Kamali frames. There's so much more to yap about, but I'll leave you alone now, and tell you that there are samples of good stuff (ravioli, pork loin, meatballs, chips and hummus, etc) at the end of almost every aise.
