This is just a review of the gas station as I didn't go inside the store. The south side finally gets its Costco and the gas station is immaculate (as is to be expected from any Costco, but especially a new one). The pumps work flawlessly as do the payment screens. I love Costco, but I definitely just fell in love with this Greenwood location! First off, they have way more sample stations and I thoroughly enjoy a good sample. You just can't beat the prices for how much you can get in bulk. It can add up quick though so definitely have a list before you go in, otherwise before you know it your cart will be full of random great finds! They really do have a great selection of items. I do wish the pharmacy area had more of a selection. But there is so much there! During the holidays they sell 7-8 ft Christmas trees for $40. Can't beat that. read more

How thrilled I was when I found out they were building this Costco. No longer would I need to drive all the way to Castleton for $3 cases of water bottles, quality parmesan in giant blocks, mammoth portions of fresh meats, and all the seasonal goodies that made a monthly visit a necessity. This location is great because it's new and much less crowded from it's Castleton sister-store. Anyone complaining about crowds here... well... ahem... try going to the Costco in Seattle, WA location, until then you just don't know what "crowds" means. Friendly, helpful service.. no hassle return policy.. and hey even the occasional $1.50 hot dog plus a drink make Costco a joyous pilgrimage to be made at least every other week. They helped me and my faith is renewed in Costco!! Don't buy tires here. I got them rotated and now have all kinds of trouble they admitted they imbalanced them but now say they had nothing to do with it. Very poor service for Costco. I won't buy tires at Costco again. I should add I contacted management and they were very kind and helped me with my problem. I took my car elsewhere and I was right it was not balanced right. The Greenwood Costco is the cleanest Costco I've ever been in -- and I've been in a lot. It opened in 2016, so it's newer compared to the other locations around Indianapolis. But the same Costco charm is still there; free samples, cheap food at the food court, and all the bulk items you could possibly need. We've visited on a handful of weeknights and weekends, and it's never crazy. Even with the Sunday afternoon post-church crowd. Big win there. Did you know you can book vacations through Costco? Yup. I love going shopping at this Costco. Employees friendly. Great selection. I only have one problem. I paid for membership to not only get my groceries and household items, I also paid for membership to get gas. The problem is while Costco will take MasterCard for your purchases inside, they will not except your MasterCard at the gas pump nor do they take cash. Makes no sense at all. I will be going back to Sam's Club. They don't discriminate which card you use. read more

Let me start by saying that I love Costco as a company. I've been a member for about 10 years and have never had any issues until visiting this Greenwood location. My qualm is only regarding the terrible customer service provided by the tire center. I have been treated poorly 2 different times. 1. I went in to fix a flat because I ran over a nail. They took the tire off, told me they could not fix the problem or put the tire back on and I had to buy 2 tires(They took off my tire and told me they would only be able to put on a new tire). 2. Yesterday, I came in to rotate my tires which has always been an included service when you have purchased your tires from Costco. They said the rotation was free but I had to pay for the tire balancing. I paid it because I was in a rush but I called 2 different Costco locations and they told me the entire trip should have been free. Also, when I got my car back my tire pressure light was on. I am so excited to have a Costco on the south side. The store is new so I expected a lot of people. The parking lot is large and offers a lot of spaces. The store was bright and features everything your heart could desire. I really enjoyed the assortment of samples available throughout the food section. This is the most fun place to shop for everything you had no idea you needed. There are so many sample stations, wonderful fish and produce selections, and the best wine and liquor aisle. The Kirkland (house) brand is always great. Keep an eye out for Tony... he's the best! read more

I have always had really good experiences with Costco with the exception of the Tire Center at this particular Costco. I ordered tires online and had them shipped to this Costco. Some observations: 1) I waited about 20 minutes at the desk before someone came to front desk. I'm not making a big deal about this, but this seems to fit a bit of a pattern as you will see. 2) When someone did show up, it took a very long time for them to pull up and find my order (probably another 20 minutes). This was the case even though I had my order number and member number handy. 3) The tire installer was very annoyed and talked down to my wife (even at little questions like "where do you want to pull my car up to?"). He also talked down to other customers so it wasn't just me. I do think there is likely only one bad apple here since all the other employees were very nice (including James, who I think is the manager). I later talked to the same installer and found that he did come off as arrogant to me too. In the end, I wound us asking for a refund. The installer said several things that I know to not be true and so I lost faith that these guys know what they are talking about. I reached out to Michelin based on the some of the feedback that the installer gave me and they confirmed he is incorrect and they suggested going to another Michelin dealer (which I did). I hate not giving them a higher rating since the store itself is wonderful. read more

What can one say about a Costco that hasn't been said a hundred times before? Beats me. I'm just going to wing it! This location is new, fresh, and clean. We arrived around 7pm, and they had already put their samples away - boo! That meant that we wandered around the store hungry. Let's just say that we bought a few more groceries than we anticipated. The store is well laid out. It is huge though, so it takes a while to walk through it all. The only thing I would change is that they need to add iced tea to their fountain drink area. I can't drink soda, so I am bummed that the great combo meal prices do me no good. read more

It's been a long time coming but Costco is here! The smell of a brand new Costco brings me joy! I find this one is closer and less trafficky than going to the ones are the northside. I now been to all the Costco in Indiana and didn't feel congested with this one at all. The lines weren't all that long for something that opened on Thursday June 23rd. Gas was cheap and plenty of space to move around with giant size cart. So glad there is finally one in greenwood so I don't have to drive to the northside! If you are not a member join now! This brand new Costco is super clean!! I love clean stores, and they went with a brighter vibe, which I appreciate, because the north side is very dark. Since this is pretty new they don't have a huge customer base yet, you can always get parking close to the door. Lines are quick and almost non-existent if you go on a weekday. If you're into sampling, go around 4 when they have all of their foodie stations out, you won't need to eat. Also, you can go to the food court without a membership and take advantage of some super cheap meals if you're on a budget. Other perks of membership, they offer rental cars at huge discounted prices, discounts on car purchases, insurance plans, and you usually get access to new, top of the line food items. For example, Froozer- a healthy alternative to popsicles and Brazi Bites, a gluten free delicious Brazilian cheese bread! Also, Visa, only if you use a credit card. I am so glad Costco opened a location on the south side. It is very close to my house too. I went to the north location years ago with a friend that had a membership. I was instantly enamored with the store. The store is clean, well run and organized, and the staff are friendly. They have great deals much like their main competitor. One HUGE plus for me is that they carry a fair amount of organic items; because it is primarily what I buy now. The overall pricing of those said items is excellent too. I was astounded at the price of their organic butter. I won't go anywhere else to buy it now. I recently divorced my 'other' warehouse club membership. Definitely my second favorite bulk warehouse store! The overbearing scanning of my Costco card is a little annoying, but the savings make it all better! Everything and anything household, office, wine, fruits, etc are in abundance. A drawback for me is they have no "scan and go" app like Sams. The scan and go cuts my checkout time in half! I love this Costco so much. For me, it's a slightly farther drive than the Castleton location, but totally worth it. I typically go to Costco during the day, during the week bc weekends are too nuts. The Castleton and Michigan Road locations are crazy busy even during the day and always have lines. I usually end up getting super annoyed at everyone in my path..... BUT not at the Co Line Rd Store. Every time I go, the parking is easy, it's quiet inside, people are chill, and there are NO lines! Thank god there is now a Costco on the southside. I love this place but ... The north side location is too far away to take full advantage. Good selection is nice... And a lot of things I've found a very sufficient savings on; eggs, some condiments, coconut water and more. I like finding little gadgets that somehow are both practical and something I've meant to buy... Just hadn't taken the time. I used my "free pizza" voucher recently and was happy with the pie. Even at 9.99, it seemed like a fair deal when one does not feel like doing any food prep after unloading a vehicle. A vehicle that has an extra $100 worth of shit I didn't plan on buying when I walked in the door. The staff has been helpful... Samples are convenient, as are the trash cans so I do not carry shrapnel from 7 samples through every aisle as I must make sure I haven't missed anything new. Some things are way too large of a supply for me unless having a party or the decision I love rice to the tune of 20+Lbs. to each their own. I have a feeling when I check my 2% balance I'm both going both be happy at the "free" money, but there could be a little sticker shock of what that means I've spent here. The only downside is sometimes you have to watch out for inconsiderate people. I spent half of today finding ways around people. When you are in an aisle and can't get out... The old lady that "help us" in returns was really rude. My boss got me a tv for Christmas and we wanted to upgrade it for a bigger TV. She wasn't able to come with me because she was busy. My husband had already call to figure what we needed to make the exchange they said the receipt or membership number. My boss gave me her membership number, but this old lady said she couldn't do nothing if the member wasn't there. We have to drive 25 min to the location on 86th st and they were able to help us in a really well manner. read more

You can also get their pizza even without the membership as well ad the alchohol. Highly recommend this Costco' store service. I bought the tires online and took in my car for them to be installed and they didn't fit. The manager got a more expensive tire set comped for free and personally went out to get them from another warehouse just so I could have my car back within the same day. read more

I've read some of y'all's reviews about this stores' tire department. Well.. I bought 4 new tires for my car a few days ago and was to return for a tire check. Pulled up near the service bay and this - yes I'll say it- really cute blonde with a smile on her face enquired if she could help me. I said I just purchased new tires and was to return. She turned to the others and shouted "Torque check!" I had no idea. She went inside and walked in the back and walked back at me with a monster 40lb torque bar. She then methodically went from tire to tire doing her thing in less than a minute. Then with a smile said she was done. and I returned the 25 mile signed certificate of completion. So for all of you crabbing so much about this department - you're invariably driving around with a definite torque deficiency and it's showing. Let this nice young lady help you. She is delightful. After ordering my glasses from the optical department and Audrey was just the best! .... I went back on Saturday to pick up the glasses, and received them from Cody. He handed them to me and said... "here you go"... didn't even offer to fit them for me. So, I decided to wear them and then come back for adjustment. When doing so, on Monday, after having problems with them fitting right, Audrey again, took one look at them and adjusted them to my eyesight and head. What a wonderful employee! ... I have been a Costco member since they came to town. I checked on line for a certain medication, and found it at Greenwood for a good price. When I went to get it filled it was more. I was told I had been quoted a newer version of the drug, and they had an older version. Are you kidding me ? The pharmacy employee should have known this upfront.
