I LOVE COSTCO. If you buy electronics they double the warranty and if you have a problem with a item they'll let you return it or replace it. They have the best quality of meat. I drive from Rio Vista and fill my freezer in the garage. I live in Rio Vista and my savings pays for my fuel. All the Kirkland brand items are great. For example if you look at their apple juice the ingredients are pure apple juice period.. They have Hansens which is made with water, sugar and apple juice concentrate. I've been a loyal customer for over 15 years and I'm a life long customer. My wife complains when it's time to put items away but enjoys that we always have a main course item for dinner. Keep up the great job to all the employes for their great and friendly work. I'm planning my next trip already. read more

Love Lodi Costco! It gets busy, but not like the ones in Stockton and Elk Grove. There's plenty of parking, the place is always clean, there's so much fun stuff there and you never know what you're going to find! They have delicious bakery items- I've eaten the muffins for years... they might not be that great for you, but this almond poppyseed ones, OMG. I try to go before people get off work and I avoid weekends because the lines are crazy long. During the slower hours, you can get through check-out pretty quick (with their very friendly employees) and grab a delicious and CHEAP piece of pizza on the way out. Also, returns are simple, but I recommend not hitting the return line right when they open, that's when I've seen the longest lines. read more

I called the tire department to see if they had a certain tire in stock ,so I call I wait on the line while the clerk says can you hold on while I have a customer ,so he helps the customer and then he gets back on the phone he says well can I call you back, what's the point of answering the phone if you're gonna keep people waiting and then tell them you're going to call back just don't answer the phone .I'll call back later I guess or not Call Back at all but to be honest with you you should never let the customer wait on hold and then tell them," can I call you back "if you're going to be busy tell them right off the bat," I'm very busy right now let me call you right back" don't put them on hold and then tell them you're going to take down the information and then call them back that is so rude!! read more

The Lodi Costco should have built their store identical to the one in Manteca. Manteca has a self check out and a better selection. Lines go faster with self check out. Hope to see this store improve, since I live here in Lodi. read more

We were excited that a COSTO was coming to Lodi. As Sacramento Delta residents, we do our trip to our favorite warehouse only once a month, and this new location cut our commute considerably. The first visit, wowed us with its many disabled parking spaces, cleanliness, the helpfulness of of staff ,good wine selections (many local Lodi names), and the thoughtfulness that went into the store's layout. We were unable to find a few products available at the two other COSTO's we use to frequent. That said, it had just opened and we thought these items would be offered on subsequent trips. We did pause upon exiting, to fill out a suggestion form for a family staple: The store brand SKIN-ON frozen boneless chicken breasts. Yesterday, we loaded our cart with our usual items and looked agin in vain for the chicken. Again, all that was stocked was the skinless boneless breasts. A wonderfully helpful worker also scoured the store, to no avail. This will require another trip to a more distant COSTCO location. We will not likely return to the Lodi store. When one lives at least a 25 minutes away from any reasonably priced shopping, you tend to do all your errands in as few trips as possible. We took the time to fill out a suggestion and feel that to ignore a request of a common product is just poor customer service. Our monthly contribution of several hundred dollars will be spent elsewhere. BUMMER! read more

No sliced pickles, could not find AA batteries, and one variety of frozen pizza cheese & pepperoni. NOT my idea of a well stocked Costco! Employees walked by without greeting or eye contact. I was so happy when we finally got a Costco, but this one sucks. Rude, unhelpful, and unhappy people working there. Also they are charging $40.00 more for my medicine at the pharmacy then the South Sacramento Costco's pharmacy. Left my meds in Lodi drove to South Sacramento Costco and got the cheaper price for the same medicine. I will not be using Lodi Costco again. They will rip you off. read more

On a few occasions, I found that their customer service is lacking. Recently, the Food Court, which is inside, seemed to think that I enjoyed getting in line--let's count three different lines--to pay for the pizza that had been ordered by phone. At the first window, the cashier said, "You need to get in that line," as she nodded to the next line. I got in that line. In fact, she observed me in the line. However, when I got up to the window, this clerk said, "No, you cannot pay here. You must go to the next line." I commented that I had been told to get in this line. She insisted, rather than taking my money this time, and saying that I needed from now on to be in the non-prepay line. She steadfastly refused to allow me to pay. So once I got up to pay in THE THIRD LINE, I told the clerk. Of course, the cashier that told me to get in the next line, said that she called it the "open" line. Whatever that means? My son, who was there, said that she did not say that. I thought that customer service was important. It appears that in Lodi's Costco that customer service is not all that important. I am sure that the first cashier found it humorous watching me go from the end of one line to the other. But I am not laughing. read more

There's def no shortage of horribly rude employees at this location. Tammie and Karen were no exception to the rule today, either. I get no greeting EVER when I'm checking out, and no "thank you" of ANY kind when leaving. What happened to at least a "hello" when a customer steps into your line?! Today I just got a checker too busy complaining to her coworker about her life/ailments to remember to ring up my bagels so that Karen, the door person checking receipts, made it seem like I'm trying to steal them as I walk out. Really?! I just paid $110 to renew my card and $80 on misc stuff, you think I'm trying to gurp $5.00 bagels?! This place SERIOUSLY needs to step up their customer service. I've lived here 7 months now, come to this location at least 3 times a month, and have yet to get a friendly checker. Kita (I believe her name was), however, was very nice while renewing my card today. 1 employee out of basically everyone else that's ever assisted me, tho, is not ok. read more

So I came to get my passport photo taken and they made me feel uncomfortable and were rude and the wait time was ridiculous and the pictures were too dark and they told us to come retake them tomorrow and for day 2 she said only 10 but it took 45 minutes and we waited by the desk and they kept giving us eye contact but never said anything so I finally walked up and she said they have been ready for awhile already. The only reason I am giving it four stars is because I don't like when they move stuff around. I want to be able to go straight through the store and walk to what I want and get it and be out. I love the new costco! I went to their pre-opening (if you didnt go YOU MISSED OUT!) FREE and I mean FREE food and a ton of it! People were even getting extras to bring home, it was crazy. I love how cheap their gas are! I always try to go there, the only setback is, I have to go all the way inside to get a cash card in order to pay for my gas because they dont accept cash over at the gas station which can be a pain some times when there are long lines and all you need is a cash card.. other then that love this costco, its very clean and organized, kinda got confuse a couple of times because im so use to the costco in stockton. I love that the eatery is inside, and even the food are cheap!! I am a fan of their churros, idk if it was the churros but at the end of the day I got a stomach ache but it was worth it haha because it was so good! Just hate how they close so early, and on saturdays and sundays? I work late, and it gets hard to go there when it closes at 6pm. read more

I don't know if its just this location or if Costco as a whole is changing. I've received strange customer service on multiple occasions here. They gave us a hard time about returning some greeting cards that didn't come out the way we expected (I thought Costco had a 100% satisfaction guarantee?) and I've been treated as if I was an inferior customer at the register because they thought I was a standard member (even though I've upgraded to executive membership). Also their floor is becoming more and more salesy with vendors and Costco employees pushing products. Makes for a strange shopping experience not consistent with the excellent service I've received at other locations. read more

My only complaint about Costco is right when you learn the layout of the store of where everything is you are going to buy the change it up! It wouldn't be so bad if the employees on the floor knew where to direct you to find the item but when you ask them they even don't have an answer most of the time. I have been very disappointed over the last 3-6 months on the produce dept at th Lodi Costco. Not only is some of the produce already spoiled at the store I've bought things that used to be the bomb only to discover the quality is poor. Recently I bought a Caesar salad pack dated sell by 6-20 and upon opening on Father's Day 6-19 it was wilted and brown. So disappointed! I'm not sure what's happened with the produce dept or the supplier or buyer but I'm hoping they improve. I would love to be able to continue to buy produce at Costco but if it's not dependable I won't. I still buy other products there (meat, seafood, dairy, etc) with no problem. It is only the produce dept. I defiantly plan on talking with customer service next time I'm there. read more

Clean, big, cheap, great selection, helpful service, enough free samples to munch on while you shop to take the place of a meal. (But if you didn't get enough free samples, you can get a huge hot dog and 20 ounce soda for $1.50 on your way out). I was never willing to drive to Stockton or Elk Grove to shop at those Costcos and, thusly, let my membership lapse for about 10 years. I have re-upped now, and expect to recover my membership fee within 6 months. The Kirkland brand offers high-quality products comparable to the top-shelf brand-name items. It's the second-best place in Lodi to run into friends you haven't seen in a while. (The first best place is House of Coffee on Lockeford and Ham). read more

I joined the Lodi Costco membership on Sunday 8/17/14, signing up for the $50 membership was fast, easy, said cheese to the camera & pop! Out came our cards, so we shopped. Got our household items to last a while as we live in the foothills away from most stores and headed to checkout. Not at check out for more than a few seconds and a woman with a scanner walked up, beeped my card (I knew what was coming next) and said "you know, you should upgrade to the executive membership if you are going to be spending THIS kind of money." I politely said no thank you I just signed up today and have elected NOT to use the executive membership. Then the cashier chimed in, then the box person got on board the membership train, toot toot! I said I dont intend on spending this much $$ monthly...before I could finish the cashier was incredibly RUDE and rolled her eyes telling me I'd regret it and it was like leaving $$ on the table. Where the heck are we VEGAS?! The boxer said dont wait too long to upgrade youll see! I couldnt get out of there fast enough, then to top it all off they were so busy upselling me on the membership that they forgot give me back my husbands Costco card, accused me of having it and rudely sent me to membership for another, two seconds later they were screaming my husbands name waiving his card at him behind us. I had the tires replaced on my BMW at the Costco Tire Center, Lodi. When I got the car back I noticed very significant damage (scratches, chips, and gouges) on all four of the alloy rims. When I complained to the tire shop manager he looked at the rims and told me it looked like installation damage and that I would need to file an insurance claim. That started a months long effort in futility that ended with nothing being done to correct the problem. I was told that the damage was caused by curb contact. This is unlikely since the damage was new and on all four wheels and all of the damage was where curb contact is impossible. I even provided a second opinion letter from a well known reputable shop supporting that fact. The insurance carrier accused me of filing a fraudulent claim and encouraged me to sue the warehouse. I took the matter to the warehouse manager and I was told they were not going to do anything for me. I don't have time to go through the legal process so I guess I'm out of luck. Shame on Costco for treating a thirty year customer this way! I spent $20,000 at Costco last year but I think I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future. read more

I give them 3 stars for some really friendly employees and an otherwise really clean and well ran store. What I dock them for is mainly the manager cherisse who has a pretty stank attitude. I had a family member buy me a car battery and it died. I called prior to ask them about how to return it and if I would need the member there to get a new battery. The person in the auto department told me to bring it in and a picture of the persons membership card and that would be suitable. I brought the battery In and they verified with this manager if it was okay and she said no that it was not okay. I told her that I called prior and this is what they said. She walked away briefly and came back a few seconds later to say "I asked they all said no they didn't speak with you." Pretty appalling. I don't know why I would lug a heavy battery to lie about speaking to someone prior. Just makes no sense to me. The manager had no sense of empathy or not even a "I'm sorry you were misinformed. I did NOT want to give any stars but in order to post you have to give at least one. I called to see if one of my meds were ready and to make sure of the price. I was told it had doubled since last month from $26. and change to $64. and change. I ordered it anyway. When I went to pick it up, at the main door I was told I would have to be escorted to the pharmacy. That it is the store MANAGERS policy. This is LODI!!! 80,000 people. I am 64 years old. I don't have a Costco card. My husband and daughter share the card. We all live in the same house but only 2 PEOPLE can be on a membership. We pay $110 per year and have the Costco AMX card. It HAD been a regular Costco policy that you could walk in to ANY Costco and get meds and eat at the food court and walk around but not buy anything else. WELL. Went to South Sacramento Costco. Did NOT need an escort and my meds cost me my regular $26., well worth the 20 min.!!!!!!! read more

Great customer service at the front desk. Costco has the best return policy. Always a plus. But one day, I had several returns of clothing items. I was given a refund, then went into the store to shop. At the register, there was a hold on my card. The purchase went through, but I was told I had to see the front desk before I could use the card again. I stopped on the way out. The woman at the front desk who helped me said she'd placed the hold, hoping I'd gone in to shop instead of going right home. Apparently she had short-changed me on the refund! Not on purpose of course, but as she was going over the clothing items I had returned, she realized she had missed a pair of pants and then promptly returned the money on that item as well. How cool was that? In truth, these employees are so busy, I was surprised they not only took the time to correct the error, but that they cared enough to do so. And if anyone from management reads these reviews, I didn't catch her name. But it's the woman who has the lovely red hair (short) with the blonde streaks in it.
